Mo Ti Baz Kalodyne

We had a wonderful experience staying at Mo Ti Baz Calodyne. The hosts were absolutely wonderful - very attentive, responsive, and welcoming. From day one, they made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed throughout our stay. The place itself is clean and well maintained, with a cleaning lady coming once a week, which was a great added touch. The location is also very quiet and peaceful, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind. It is well decorated with a simple and tasteful local touches that give the place a unique character. It doesn't feel overly done. It is very accessible whether you have a car or are using public transportation. The bus stop is conveniently located nearby, with buses going towards Grand Baie, including the 95 Pamplemousses towards Grand Baie/Botanical Garden and the 95 Saint Antoine–Grand Gaube route from Grand Baie.

A Magical and Unforgettable Stay at Mo Ti Baz Kalodyne From the moment we arrived at Mo Ti Baz Kalodyne, we knew we had found a truly special piece of paradise. Our stay was nothing short of amazing, excellent, and deeply rejuvenating. The beauty and tranquility of the property completely exceeded our expectations, offering the perfect escape. A massive, heartfelt thank you goes to Gabrielle and Toni. You both are the absolute heart and soul of this place. Your incredible warmth, genuine hospitality, and attention to every little detail made us feel less like guests and more like family. You went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, and your kindness is something we will never forget. Thank you, Gabrielle and Toni, for creating such a beautiful sanctuary and for being such wonderful hosts. Our time here was perfect, and we cannot wait to return!

Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und die Kommunikation über WhatsApp war jederzeit schnell und hilfsbereit. Das möchten wir ausdrücklich positiv hervorheben. Das Appartement ist sehr sauber und wurde 1x in der Woche gereinigt, sowie wöchentlich die Bettwäsche gewechselt. Allerdings gibt es mehrere Punkte, die in der Beschreibung der Unterkunft zwingend erwähnt werden müssen, da sie das Urlaubserlebnis erheblich beeinträchtigen.

1. Fünf Hunde auf dem Grundstück Auf dem Grundstück leben 5 Hunde, die tagsüber und teilweise auch nachts sehr häufig bellen. Die Unterkunft war als -ruhig- beschrieben, was absolut nicht der Realität entspricht. Unsere Nächte waren nicht durchgehend ruhig, und ab ca 6:30 war an ausschlafen nicht mehr zu denken. Für Gäste die Ruhe suchen oder Angst vor Hunden haben, ist diese Information unverzichtbar. 2. Angebot, die Unterkunft zu wechseln Als wir den Vermieter auf die Situation Ansprachen bzw über Whats App mitteilen, bot er uns an, dass wir uns eine neue Unterkunft suchen könnten und er dies dann über Booking mitden bereits bezahlten Kosten verrechnen würde. Da unser Urlaub jedoch zeitlich begrenzt ist, wollten wir nicht mehrere Stunden oder Tage damit verbringen, eine neue Unterkunft zu suchen. Außerdem wäre es aus unserer Sicht die Pflicht des Vermieters gewesen, uns aktiv eine alternative Unterkunft zu organisieren - nicht umgekehrt. 3. Warmwasser in der Küche Das Warmwasser in der Küche funktionierte nur mit einem speziellen Kniff und wurde selbst dann nur lauwarm. Die meiste Zeit mussten wir unser Geschirr mit kaltem Wasser abwaschen, was auf Dauer sehr unangenehm war. 4. Mäuse im Haus Es gibt auf dem Grundstück und im Haus Mäuse, was uns der Vermieter auch bestätigte. Wir hatten eine Maus in unserer Wohnung. Wir bekamen Rattengift zum Auslegen, und einige Tage später lag tatsächlich eine tote Maus in der Wohnung. Auch das ist ein Punkt, der unbedingt offen kommuniziert werden muss. Uns geht es nicht um etwaige Rückerstattungen. Wir möchten lediglich, dass diese wesentlichen Informationen in der Beschreibung der Unterkunft ehrlich angegeben werden. Damit zukünftige Gäste eine realistische Entscheidung treffen können. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich - aber die genannten Probleme müssen klar und transparent beschrieben werden.

La surface, la tranquillité et les équipements

Logement spacieux avec un extérieur. Possibilité de manger sur la terrasse. Emplacement idéal pour visiter l'île mais il faut une voiture obligatoirement. Gabrielle est très gentille et serviable

L’espace de la maison, la tranquillité, la maison entièrement équipé. Gabrielle et Toni sont d’une gentillesse incroyable, discret et entièrement à l’écoute si besoin, nous vous recommandons à 100% cette location.

Grosse gemütliche Erdgeschoss-Wohnung mit einer gut eingerichteten Küche und sehr praktisch organisiert (Muelltrennung, genaue Beschreibung, wo was zu finden ist... Usw) alles sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Ganz herzlicher Empfang mit Blumen, Tee, Marmelade, Bananenchips, einfach toll. Tolle Terrasse und schöner geoflegter Garten, Mueckenabwehr gut organisiert, sogar Spray für Haut und Kleider gestellt (auch Moskitonetz vorhanden). Es gibt sowohl Ventilator als auch Klima-Anlage. . Sicherer Parkplatz vorhanden, Vermieter unkompliziert per WhatsApp erreichbar. Sehr ruhige Lage, hat uns ganz toll gefallen. Können wir ohne Einschränkung weiterempfehlen.

Da gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Wir hatten bei der Anfahrt Schwierigkeitenen, die Unterkunft zu finden, da Google Maps die Strasse nicht registriert hat und uns querfeldein schickte, aber mit Hilfe von freundlichen Menschen und mehrfacher Nachfrage schliesslch angekommen!!

Location is attractive for quiet cottage village surrounding and Intermart supermarket proximity (valuable on the island). Hosting family is really helpful and friendly Apartment is clean and spacious , lining room + kitchen is huge , there is a working desk Private patio is a nice combination of sunlight and shade , no area view , but no wind either Cleaning service and bed change every week Very good WiFi

Public beaches are available only by car here (study the maps ) Few things may be improved , for me not so big to bother No washing machine (but washing may be provided as additional service)

La taille de l'appartement, situé au RDC à l'arrière de la maison ! La gentillesse des hôtes ! Le confort de la literie!

The apartment is in the relaxed part of Calodyne with a beautiful garden, close to the beautiful beaches of the northern part of the island. The host, Gabrielle and her family are very kind and welcoming, they helped with everything and answered all of our questions. The accommodation itself is really nice, the interior design is thanks to Gabrielle amazing. She even has art books and travel guides of Mauritus in the house which was very helpful. There were some little animals sometimes in the house like spiders and geckos but they were also friendly. We got some fruits from the garden which was awesome :) Thank you for the amazing hospitality!

The gates to open-close were bit of a hassle each time we wanted to park the car but this is really a very small thing, we didnt mind. Only the front neighbour was a bit rude when we had to wait for my mother to get in the car and he wanted to get out with his car but had to wait for us 2 minutes to leave. Maybe mosquito nets on the windows would be good to have, but not neccesary, this is just a recommendation to keep the bugs out. Also doors between the 2 bedrooms would make it more private.

It's well decorated, we were provided Snorkel gear on request.

1. It is listed as ac property, but the ac is there in only one room. Other room hardly had any window and gets but suffocating 2. Even though host stayed in same house, they refuse to speak to us on phone or in person. Sometimes it is easy to explain things on phone then wasting time in endless chats. 3. There are no doors in any of the bedrooms, so if two couples want to stay there is no privacy, you have to live with curtains. 4. We requested if one friend can stay in advance of her arrival, host charged us double the money which she has listed on booking.com 5. The bathroom drainage is really slow and if you take shower the water comes out in living room. We told host about it and they didn't even know about the issue or couldnt fix it.

The place is really well kept and very cosy. We liked very much and the host was very friendly and had several nice suggestions for us. That area is very hilly but that is common in the island. We felt romantic in such a cute place and as we were celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary that day, we got some nice souvenirs. Would definetly recommend.

The house is immaculately clean, spacious, secure, and has all the amenities we needed. Gabrielle, who is lovely, is an excellent host - we did not need her help, as everything was in perfect condition and we had everything we required. The house is close to the beach and near various shops and supermarkets. I would definitely stay here again :)

A very calm and beautiful neighbourhood. We enjoyed the garden very much and as well that the rooms we rented are quite large. We made a good use of the Kitchen provided and coocked several meals during our stay. The space is fitting a Familie or two couples and will still not feel crowded. The hosts are expressing a great hospitality and Gabrielle responds fast with helpful answers for all kind of questions. We definatly would consider to book the same location for the next trip to Mauritius.

That we had to leave as our vacation was over.

Gabrielle and Toni are showing a great hospitality. We are staying 5 weeks with them. Their hospitality is beyond expectation. Gabrielle provides helpfull information and suggestions what to do arround the Island and she responses fast via WhatsApp. We enjoyed a lovely BBQ dinner together and felt all the time very welcome and fast got the sense of having a homebase for all our adventures. We look forward to the extendet time with them

That sadly our time here will come to an End.
