Gabriel Apartments - Stone Suits JEM City Center

The place is in a great location

Behind the apartments there are bars with a loud music way past 12am. So if you were planning for a good night sleep that won't happen. The music is direct to the bedroom. I had to sleep in the living room on the couch which wasn't comfortable. I booked for 4 nights after 2 I left.

It was impossible to find as I had no wifi and it is down multiple hidden alleys. There is a large flight of steps to climb which was impossible with my suitcase and I had to wait until a passer by could help me carry up my suitcase.

The accommodation was basically the size of the bed. Photographs on booking.com are misleading and use wide lens photography. No microwave as stated so no cooking facilities. It smelled damp, looked unclean and was situated in a run down building far from any taxi drop off point. Impossible to pray as a Muslim as there was literally NO floor space. I rebooked elsewhere immediately. Now I cannot get a refund even though I stayed less than 5 minutes. This should be a criminal offence!!!! Nothing but problems dealing with the host, who gave the cleaners number as well as his own when I first booked as a contact, without mentioning it was the cleaner - then was offended that I contacted the cleaner!!! AM I A MIND READER??? HOW COULD I POSSIBLY KNOW THIS WAS THE CLEANER???? WHY GIVE THE CLEANERS NUMBER ANYWAY??? Also, the host seemed unable to address me by my name SHAHIDAH in texts and persisted in calling me AKHTAR, my surname......SO RUDE!!!!

The only thing good about this property was the location

The place was not as described . Pictures of several places mixed together to misguide the customers. Many items listed as part of the place was missing such as there was no sink in toilet. No hair dryer no microwave, no coffee maker, no extra sheets , there was a duvet with no cover. Under sink was full of garbage, a few cutlery that was there was dumped on the window sill. Tv that is listed with Netflix didn’t even turn on. To get enough hot water to take a shower it took 5 to 6 hours of constantly turning on the heater. The washer and dryer in the list was amongst a pile of garbage looked like a junkyard. The remote for HVAC was under the sheets so probably sheets were never changed from previous guests. There was no coffee maker as listed just a kettle inside covered by some black algae looking junk. The coffee and sugar you see in the advertising picture was just an open bag of son beige pink looking substance. The hallway leading to apartment was dirty totally run down. Under the bed was full of dirt dust and empty bottles. The HVAc was running day and night still the temperature never got above 20c . The courtyard view promised was a window in the shower by the way this was the only to get some fresh air inside, was covered by rotten wood dirt and dust and cigarette butts exposing the inside to this mess. . The freezer part of tiny fridge that you could barely open due to lack of space was covered by ice. The toilet brush was covered by dried on toilet paper I can go on and on.

Erg luide omgeving, omdat er beneden de hostel Capsule is, waar mensen 24-7 geluid maken op het terras. De kamer was klein en beloofde faciliteiten waren er niet zoals een magnetron, föhn of strijkijzer, de kitchenette was verre van compleet: wat borden en bestek. De gootsteen diende als verlengstuk van de badkamer, waar een wastafel ontbreekt. De kamer is zeer klein en vies. De televisie werkte niet en de host kreeg het via whatsapp niet geregeld. Daarna liet hij niets meer van zich horen. De kamer was afgeleefd en vies: bed was zacht, hoofdbord vies, beestjes op de vloer, wc bril zat los, vriesvak koelkast vol ijs en koelkast was zeer luidruchtig.

Was much smaller than we expected. Couldn’t fit in the bathroom. Right on top of a bar that was always loud until 4am. Beds are not great.

Clean, and brilliant location. Easy to get to any of the sites local to central Jerusalem

The apartment is located in a very good neighborhood with very friendly neighbors. It’s safe to walk around as a single woman at any hour of the day/ night. It’s clean and has a washing machine/ dryer and iron/ ironing board which makes the long stay much comfortable. The host, David is a good communicator and flexible, which is very appreciated.

The only thing I didn’t like is that I am a light sleeper and my apartment- superior studio was on the side of a busy street with cafes and restaurants. But this also was the celebration season.

Fashionable and comfy apartment. Laundry and simple cooking much needed for a longer stay, all well taken care of at this apartment.

The window wasn’t well sealed so rain water came through one of the 5 days.

Location was incredible Very funky and unique So easy to get to everything from there

Room is small and was not suitable for my son and I to share

David, the host, made me feel right at home. He was incredibly helpful and constantly made sure I was feeling comfortable. Nothing appeared too difficult for him. It was such a wonderful apartment with a really nice vibe- neat, clean, the perfect temperature. It also boasted handy amenities such as: a washing machine and dryer which was very convenient. I loved the stone walls and the light breezy feel as you enter the room. The bathroom was also very nice. It was very tasteful. I also liked that it was in the centre of the action. There were many lovely restaurants that were in close proximity. The apartment was close to public transport.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!!!
