A decent hotel for a one night stay.
Nothing.
Location
the room layout and facilities , there was no t even a fan available in the room , the stairs leading to upper bedroom was dangerousin design and approach .
The location and the guest house itself
The location is just awesome
Nothing as such
Mohan lal the care taker was very polite
We stuck in road blocked 2 km away from property, called hotel staff for help but they refused , rather reached at 12:30 midnight. Nothing was available as we stuck 7 hours at Jispa. Very money minded owner. No emotions for customers
Tolle Lage. Unbedingt den Weg zum Kloster neben dem Hotel hochsteigen
Ganz tolle Betreuung durch Tulzie, eine reizende Person mit viel Wissen um die indische Seele
The feel & vibe of the building.
Breakfast options are limited.
The location and beautiful ambience and garden.
The cottage was nice with an attic room on top. Both rooms were cozy bit a little small It was difficult to climb up to the attic.
Tulsi, Mohan & team — you made Lahaul feel like home Gemoor Khar is not just a place to stay — it’s an experience that stays with you long after you’ve left. Mohan and his team set the tone from the moment we arrived. Warm, attentive, and genuinely caring — the kind of hospitality that doesn’t come from a manual. We felt at home almost immediately, which is saying a lot after a long drive through the mountains. But the real star of our stay was Tulsi. In our very first conversation, she somehow already understood what each of us was looking for. Not just as guests, but as a family — each carrying our own hopes and hesitations into the valley. My wife had come with a quiet fear of hill drives, and the winding roads through Lahaul had been playing on her mind. Tulsi sensed it without being told, and with patience and reassurance made her feel safe and at ease in a way that no itinerary could have planned for. My son had one wish — to hike. Tulsi made it happen twice over. A river hike along the valley floor, and then the climb up to the monastery in Tino village — a journey that had him wide-eyed the whole way. Watching a young child discover a centuries-old monastery perched in the mountains, guided by someone who knew every story behind every stone — that’s the kind of memory that shapes a child. Tino village itself was extraordinary. Walking through it with Tulsi as our guide, learning about the life, traditions and culture of the Lahaul valley from someone who truly lives and breathes it — that’s the kind of travel moment you can’t plan or book online. If you’re heading to Lahaul, don’t just drive through. Stay at Gemoor Khar, ask for Tulsi, and let the valley reveal itself to you — properly, personally, and at its own pace.
Food was ok. Rooms were clean.
We weren't given our choice of rooms. At 7k+ a nite the room given wasn't worth it. Not much views. We had stayed at better places at that price. The booking clerk Mr.Srini was of not much help and to be honest very argumentative and at one point was annoying. It's a bit off the road and forced to eat at their restaurant cause nearest shop was a good walk down and up the slope. Extremely disappointed with the value offered. If you want to stay at Jispa there are better places. Don't waste your time and money.
Got great assistance from Tulsi the PRO at the property.
great personalized service and very good food.
The location. The staff. The host Tulsi is very helpful and guides you on where one can do some sight seeing.
The food can be better.
It’s beautiful, very tastefully decorated, very well maintained, excellent staff, good food.
None
Location and the staff.
Food could have been much better. Some bathrooms doesn't have glass on the window, it could get really chilly.
Lovely place. Very helpful staff.
Nothing really.
Breakfast & Dinner was very good. Staff is very co operative. Hot water was coming very good. Guidance for local tour given perfectly. .
Only Extra bed was not comfortable
The location and food is exceptionally good.
The location - bang on the highway and secure parking
Congested room I was in, had to up and down the stairs to use washroom
Location is excellent. Food is homely. Perfect place to relax.
Location, food, cleanliness and staff everything was good.
A bit over price.
Beautiful village with equally beautiful houses and warm people. Location is easy to reach from atal tunnel. Amenities are all provided and vintage houses are genuine unlike some artificial modern home stays these days. Food is delicious too.
Location
Food option is limited Basic toiletries are not provided
Everything - from the location to the view to the rooms and the food and the staff.
Nothing
Welcome and helpful with queries we had. Room and food were fabulous. They aiir on the side of families tradition and cultures in many way. It has been a privilege to stay at your place.
Perhaps the toilet needs more attention throughout the day. The toilet paper is placed too low behind the toilet seat down the right-hand side about 25cm above the floor. My best mate is partially blind and it can be difficult and inconvenient for him. You can see that coming.
Room space View Staff Manager's attitude, Tulsi was also very helpful
The property is at a very convenient location. All the staff members are well trained, the rooms are well maintained. The food is very comforting A special shoutout to Tulsi, the volunteer of this property. We faced an emergency situation, and Tulsi instantly took us to the nearest hospital 18km away. She was with us throughout, and ensured we are taken care of, and get the medical attention that we need. Tulsi didn't stop at that. She ensured she bid us farewell the next day at 5am when we were leaving the property. The staff members ensured they packed our breakfast at 5am, before we left the property. After we reached home, Tulsi stayed in constant touch and kept asking us about our medical condition even after we reached home. Such a touching gesture on her part left our heart filled with gratitude and awe.
Everything was on point!
Perfect loxuriois resort in Jispa, Great breakfast, Friendly staff. Easy walk to Jispa monastery.
The price is higher than over location in that area.
The location can be reached easily. Situated on the main road. Homely food
The location and facilities are very nice. Pleasant weather, river and snowcapped mountain views from the room (mid-summer) and the sound of the river put us to sleep at night.
I can't think of anything.
Location and view. The staff was very polite and good.
Charming guesthouse in the perfect location to break your journey from Manali. Seeped in history it was very charming. The food was excellent and the facilities all that you could want. Highly recommend. Carol and Nick Cradock (retired NZ)

Good property to stay, .The property is having Mountain and river view which is amazing . .
Buffet is average
Very good property
I don’t know
Well located property with nice and healthy food.
It’s little ahead of centre of Jispa town.
GOOD FOOD, ENJOYED BOTH DINNER AND BREAK FAST.
ITS PERFECT.
The location was great. Bed was comfortable. Shower worked fine. Food was good
Minor electrical issues. Didn’t see signage for the entrance but found it ok
Decent accomodation considering the location is off the beaten path and is seasonal as well.
The quality and variety of food can be much better. The hotel needs to stock up on basics like soft drinks and mineral water.
Yummy yummy food as well
Excellent location & food. Mr Mohan is like an old world landlord- who chats with you and walks you to your car. Food is excellent and kitchen staff- Nishant especially and the chef are great. View is pretty spectacular. If you’re a senior, please call and book room as some entail climbing. I was breathless at the car park and it was a strain for my folks to climb.
Rooms and bedding in particular can be cleaner.
Location, food, comfort, staff
An exhaust fan should be provided in the bathroom
Food is very good but with limited options
Nothing
Serene surroundings, comfortable and spacious room ( with focus on every details) and above all the super courteous and well behaved staff.

I stayed 4 nights at Gemoor-Khar in mid May. The location is superb. The staff are lovely. They provided a room heater on request. The bedroom was comfortable and nicely furnished and sheets and towels of good quality. The bathroom was modern and spotlessly clean. Spectacular views from bedroom, library and eating area as well as the guesthouse grounds. I had a great visit to the Nyingma monastery 20 mins walk above the guesthouse. The food was really tasty. Evening menu is set and different dishes were presented each day - requests were also catered for. Breakfast was buffet style and tasty. The staff were keen to help and Mr Mohan the manager was readily available to answer any enquiries. I hope to visit again!
I didn't know about the library until the last 2 days - a warm room with some interesting books and history of property. Full of sunlight during the cold days.
The location was excellent. Offering scenic view of the Lahaul Valey. Also the facilities were good. Especially the mattress heating. The staff were cordial and polite. Also the food options at the hotel were appetizing and easy on the palate.
The buffet food although good was quite expensive. The same goes for the room costs. Despite the excellent facilities and the helpful staff the cost of the room was a bit on the higher side in my opinion.
tastefully furnished and comfortable.
we liked it
very scenic location and easily accessible from the highway
Excellent food and service. Mindblowing location
Excellent location, beautiful views of the mountains , the food is freshly cooked. While it's not like a usual hotel with ala carte options the set menu for lunch, dinner and quality was extraordinary + good value for money
All good
Nice property located on outskirts of Jispa with a good Mountain View. it is located on the highway to Leh. It is a good place to take logical break on way to Leh.
There is not much to do outside in close vicinity of Hotel. You can possibly walk down to the river flowing down but we did not find any good trail for that and had to go via farms.
I liked the accomodation and the heating bed
Food was very poor. very little options for the money they charge. Rs 7000. No Wifi or any other internet source
