AL - Alojamento Local Pension Bicuar

We have just spent two nights here. Location is very central and the roof top terrace was an added bonus. We stayed in a budget double bedroom with ensuite shower and sink. The nearest toilet was just across the landing. The facilities were all very clean and tidy. Homely atmosphere.

We found the mattress a little firm for our personal taste and again an extra pillow would have been welcome. But these are both our own personal preferences and not something we feel we needed to pursue during our visit.

Attention pour personnes à mobilité réduite beaucoup d'escaliers manque de climatisation il y a un ventilateur, mais qui fait du bruit impossible de dormir lorsqu'il est un marche

The location was ideal for the bar’s restaurants and access to the ferry port. Staff were very nice and amenities were good.

The stairs were very steep, the storage in the fridge was a bit tight for the number of guests and it would have been nice to have a couple of sun lounges on the roof terrace.

33 Grad und keine Klimaanlage, es war so warm, hab kaum Luft bekommen, Lüfter war vorhanden, hat kaum was genutzt, winziges Waschbecken, die Rezeption ist im ersten Stock, da muss man erstmal mit dem schweren Koffern hoch, ohne Fahrstuhl.

Nous avons été très bien accueillis.. la pension est très bien située dans la zone piétonne à proximité de tout... Notre chambre était petite mais fonctionnelle...la propreté est irréprochable ! A l'étage il y a une petite cuisine avec frigo on peut manger sur la terrasse qui est aménagée... Très belle vue !

Ich würde die Unterkunft gern realistisch bewerten. Leider ist das nicht möglich. Eine 1/2 Stunde vor dem Check-In kam die Absage wegen Überbuchung, obwohl am Tag vorher noch die Daten abgefragt wurden. Die Buchungsbestätigung hatten wir seit Mai. Es gab auch keine Auskunft warum Überbucht. Schade wir hatten uns gefreut. Keine gute Werbung

Stanza un po' vecchia e senza armadio. Bagno assolutamente da rivedere, non ci sono appendini ma la parte peggiore era il lavandino. Il lavandino era minuscolo, non ci si riusciva a lavare le mani tra un poco. Stanza quindi migliorabile! E struttura molto vecchia.

Die Dachterasse ist wunderschön und ein toller Ort um zu verweilen🥰 die Lage ist perfekt und das Personal sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Außerdem ist alles sehr sauber und ordentlich.

Die Zimmer sind hellhörig, was mir persönlich nichts ausgemacht hat😉

Houve um stress com o duche Da primeira vez tudo ok Quando tomamos duche na manhã o mesmo entupiu,nao escoava a agua . Sendo assim um de nós não tomou duche porque a agua começou a verter pra fora do quarto,tivemos de enxaguar com toalhas. Podiam investir numa ventoinha mais forte.

Sobre todo el trato con raquel fue muy atenta y nos oriento muy bien ..tambien recalcar la buena ubicacion ..recomiendo 100/100

O quarto era um pouco pequeno e muito quente mas o hotel disponibiliza ventilador

My room was basic but that was all I paid for. Although there was a shared toilet I didn't really see anyone. There was a shower and wash basin in the room for getting ready. There was a fan on the ceiling that didn't do much but there was a large desk fan that was more than enough. I slept comfortably and didn't get too hot. I would definitely stay here again.

No milk in the fridge for tea and coffee.

Reservei este alojamento para a minha família pela localização central e fácil acesso. O meu pai, já de idade avançada, contactou posteriormente o alojamento para efetuar pequenas alterações à reserva. Lamentavelmente, o vivenciado foi uma experiência que classifico como inaceitável, quer ao nível das condições do alojamento, quer, sobretudo, ao nível do comportamento da gerência. Do ponto de vista da higiene, existe uma infestação de formigas em todo o edifício, uma situação que não deveria ocorrer em nenhum estabelecimento que receba hóspedes. Do ponto de vista da segurança, as escadas são perigosamente íngremes e os quartos não têm espaço mínimo de circulação, tendo a minha mãe, já de idade avançada, sofrido uma lesão num dedo do pé devido à falta de espaço junto à cama. Esta situação foi comunicada ao staff, que nada fez para a resolver, revelando uma total ausência de cuidado pela segurança dos hóspedes. Mais grave ainda foi o comportamento da gerente. Tinha combinado com a minha família passar o dia em Olhão com eles uma vez que ia ficar hospedado em casa da minha companheira. Ao deslocar-me pessoalmente para verificar a situação da minha família (instalada no 3º piso, sem elevador) fui abordado de forma agressiva e desrespeitosa, sem qualquer hipótese de explicar a situação, e obrigado a retirar-me, apesar de ter sido eu o responsável pela reserva. Nas horas seguintes, a mesma gerente dirigiu-se à minha família de forma hostil e provocatória, em várias ocasiões, culminando na sua expulsão ao final do dia, sem qualquer alternativa de alojamento, sob o pretexto de alegado incumprimento do número de ocupantes. Foi ainda prometida a devolução do valor da última noite, promessa que, previsivelmente, não foi cumprida. Entendo e respeito os profissionais de hotelaria que fazem longas horas mas as frustrações tem de ser geridas de uma forma mais saudável e principalmente focada na experiência positiva do hóspede.

Location is amazing a 5 min walk and you can reach the sites, the pier where the boats leave, restaurants and bars. Everything was very clean I had an issue with my room late in the evening and they moved me to a different one that same night. The little kitchen area seems to have everything you need and the roof terrace gives you amazing sunset views over the marina.

It was fine for me but may be an issue for some tw stairs for the property are very narrow and steep

I spotted one halfway through my stay. I freaked out initially thinking it was a bed bug and left the hotel, it wasn't but carpet beetles can cause a rash if you're allergic that can look like bug bites, they eat your clothes and furnishings and cause holes. The beetles and their larvae can also end up travelling back home with you on your clothes/suitcase. And once they're there, they're really hard to get rid of. When I informed the hotel of the issue and asked for a full refund I was accused of trying to cash in on the situation so I ended up out of pocket finding somewhere else to stay. Funnily enough, all I wanted was a relaxing vacation, not to stay somewhere that would add to my worries - the only way to make sure you don't bring them back with you is to wash everything on 60 degrees followed by tumble drying on high heat. So now I have to risk damaging/ruining all my clothes just because I stayed here. Added to that, I was left without a fan for 2 days because no one bothered to tell me the ceiling fan only works if you have the main light on (I had been trying to switch it on with the lamp on). The sink is also ridiculously small, there's no room for even a toothbrush. And the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything. I was given a room next to the shared bathrooms and I could hear someone blowing their nose. Avoid like the (insect) plague (you risk taking home with you).

Hyvä sijainti, miellyttävä ilmapiiri. Olimme ylimmässä kerroksessa ja meillä oli oma keittiö ja kylpyhuone. Ilmalämpöpumppu viilensi asuntomme hyvin.

Splendida terrazza per passare una serata o fare colazione. Le camere sono piccole ma accoglienti e la proprietaria è stata ottima nella comunicazione

Posizione comoda, stanze pulite. Terrazza comune con ottima vista. Le camere e gli spazi comuni riprendono arredamenti e mobili antichi, che fanno respirare un'aria di storicità della struttura.

Difficile trovare parcheggio in zona. Stanze un po' calde per assenza aria condizionata vista la storicità della struttura, sono comunque presenti ventilatori e deumidificatori.

Sie Unterkunft war sehr süß eingerichtet, alles was man brauchte, war da. Es war sehr sauber! Der Late-Check-In war sehr unkompliziert. Die Dachterasse war under absolutes Highlight! Man hatte einen wunderschönen Ausblick aufs Meer und wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge! Das gesamte Personal war super freundlich und bemüht!☺️

Sie Betten waren deutlich zu klein, nur 120-140cm für ein Doppelbett. Außerdem waren die Kissen sehr hart. Leider gab es bei unserem Aufenthalt keinen Handtuch-Wechsel-Service. Und auf der Dachterasse haben wir Sonnenliegen vermisst. Da wir einen Late-Check-In machen mussten, weil unser Flieger erst spät landete, haben wir wichtige Informationen rund um die Unterkunft und Umgebung verpasst. Andere Gäste wurden zb. herumgeführt. Leider wurde das bei uns nicht mehr nachgeholt.

Top Lage und wie aus vergangener Zeit.. Genau die Art Unterkunft in der Algarve, die ich suche. Das Highlight: Die Dachterrasse! Und: Top Personal

I liked the Rooftop view and the location, I also liked the shared kitchen available with Coffee for free to the guests.

The lack of assitance during the night. We got locked inside of the room as the key was left outside, and as it was late at night, around 1am, we tried to call the Reception and there was nobody there to help. We even called the Booking.com support, and I could talk to a very friendly and prompt to help assistant, but he also couldn't contact anyone from the property. I believe that as they get an old system for their door lock, with Keys, they should have someone to assist 24h00 in place, because it is very dangerous to happen things like that and we need to wait until the next day to have someone to help us. In the end, we needed to call the PaperShop next to the Pension to send someone upstairs to open the door for us from outside.

super lokalizacja w centrum starówki. nie najgorszy dojazd aby wypakować walizki. piękny widok z tarasu gdzie można zjeść śniadanie czy kolację, podziwiając panoramę miasta/oceanu i lądujące/startujące samoloty z pobliskiego Faro.

jedyny minus to ubikacja. wspólna ubikacja na korytarzu dla wszystkich gości co powoduje czasem kolejki. wysokie strome schody, które mnie nie przeszkadzały ale żona mająca lęk wysokości miała troszkę problemy z akceptacją.

Our room was adjacent to men’s toilet and the fan would come on whenever anyone entered but wouldn’t go off for a long time (stayed on until 1am). Was also a slight sewage smell coming up through the drains -. Perhaps could be resolved with a door inbetween the wash basin area and the bed area.

Great pension with a lovely rooftop and common kitchen. All in all the pension is a typical Portuguese guesthouse, so don't expect a modern place, but it is part of the charms. Very clean and lovely staff.

It was not very clear for us that the private bathroom in our room was only a sink and a shower, we thought the toilets would also be private but were to share. It was OK in the end and very clean.

The Town is a hidden gem & the people are so friendly. The pension is a wonderful place to stay at, extremely clean, in fact spotless. When we arrived we were met by Rachel who explained everything that we needed to know about our stay. There is a well fitted out kitchen & the terrace is a sanctuary with amazing views over the Town. We would like to thank all the staff especially Victoria for all their hard work. The only downside for people who may have difficulty with stairs as they are quite steep, however we managed & my wife albeit with a bad hip managed. The building is very interesting in the fact that it is oldie worldy and quirky with the ornate and antique furniture which we loved. The bed was very comfortable. Access to the area is easy as it is very central & only a very short walk to the marina, ferry terminal & market and the countless cafes/restaurants. 15 minuets from Faro airport and City. The ferry's take you out to the 3 outlying islands were the gorgeous beaches are. This is not a holiday destination for those who want sports bars & to go clubbing, it's a super chill out place were the pace is slow and easy. We will be back as our 4 nights were not long enough.

Shared kitchen and dining area with all appliances needed to make your own food. The rooftop was such a treat and aesthetically pleasing with a fabulous view of the village and at nightime amazing! The antiquety of the home was charming! The staff very helpful and the hotel sparkling clean!

I just want to say there is no elevator. The amazing staff carried out luggage to the 3rd floor!

Beautiful clean accommodation, my stay was great. A little noisy some morning as a workshop facing my room. I would stay again as it’s the perfect location Fabulous roof terrace.

The staff was very flexible on our arrival. Located in the city center with free parking about a 5 minute walk. Great roof Terrace.

Definitely a hostile vibe in an old building. Unfortunately, the bed was not that comfortable, and there was a musty smell impossible to get rid of.

The room was very small, there was barely enough space to open the door, and it did not close properly. When the window was open, the door made a lot of noise. The street outside was very busy, which is understandable given the location, but you could also hear everything from the other rooms, which was really unpleasant. It was impossible to get a good night’s sleep.

No breakfast but an excellent location 3-4 minutes from the waterfront and activities.

Shared toilet isn’t great for older people or at night but that’s very minor and the rooms were very pleasant with the rooftop seating being a real bonus.

Die Pension hat viele verschiedene Unterkünfte. Wir hatten das Apartment mit Meerblick - und das ist wirklich atemberaubend! Reichlich Platz für zwei Personen, mit Küche, Aussicht ohne Ende und zur Dachterrasse einfach zur Türe raus und ein Treppchen hoch. Die Terrasse ist wirklich wie auf den Fotos. Idealer kann man in Olhao kaum wohnen. Das ganze Handling ist unproblematisch und das Personal sehr nett. Auch vielen Dank für den Restaurant-Tipp Grupo Naval de Olhão! Parken am besten am Parkplatz am Jachthafen, nicht in die Stadt reinfahren!

Keine Kritik, man sollte nur wissen, dass es ein paar Treppen hochgeht. Aber sonst gäbe es ja keine Aussicht.

38€ la nuit pour une chambre dans cet état, c’est clairement excessif. Chambre très inconfortable : lit simple (première fois qu’on me propose un lit simple en réservant une chambre), matelas dur, oreillers de mauvaise qualité. Impossible de bien dormir. Salle de bain très exiguë : douche extrêmement petite, difficilement utilisable, même pour une personne de petite corpulence. Isolation inexistante : on entend tout, voisins très bruyants, et chambre située juste à côté de l’accueil avec du passage constant. Plusieurs problèmes électriques : lumières du plafond et de la chambre qui ne fonctionnent pas correctement. Accès peu pratique : escaliers étroits, sans ascenseur — compliqué avec des bagages. Accueil rigide et peu professionnel : arrivée strictement à 15h, porte fermée même à 14h55, plusieurs clients ont dû attendre dehors. Ouverture à 14h58 accompagnée d’une remarque déplacée sur l’heure d’arrivée. Point positif : une belle terrasse avec une superbe vue. L’ensemble donne une impression de lieu vétuste, sans confort et mal entretenu. Résultat : deux nuits mauvaises, peu de sommeil. Rapport qualité/prix totalement injustifié.
