Cottage located in a very peaceful quiet countryside, but convenient to shops and towns. Traditional B&B with choice of continental breakfast with selection of fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt, various juices, tea, coffee or cooked breakfast. Our host offered to provide breakfast at a time convenient to us.
The hosts are an older couple, who did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. A kettle, bottled water, various teas, coffee, insomnia coffee (drinking chocolate) & shortbread cookies were provided in each room, which was a nice extra. Bedside lamps, socket for charging phones, private shower or private ensuite, lots of towels, facecloth, shower-gel etc were all provided. This couple went beyond their call of duty to make our stay special.
Beautiful location with views over the lake, full of character. Margaret and Seamus were wonderful hosts - very helpful for us cyclists. Bathroom not en-suite but we were the only guests. Lounge for guest use with great view
This lovely couple went out of their way to keep me satisfied. Margaret drove me to an event I attended and the next day she drove me down to Derry, saving my an extra bus journey. They also catered for my dietary requirements. It is also well off the beaten track angreat if your looking for a peaceful time in beatiful surroundings.
It is obviously located on a very quiet Island so you will really need transport for travelling for eating out or entertainment.
The owners are very welcoming. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good.
Nothing.
A very quiet place with nice walks around the island near-by.
Cold and obviously pre- prepared.
Hosts need to reflect on their business attitudes .
Very quiet and peaceful

Great setting in the mountain overlooking Inch Island. Margaret and Seamus looked after us from the moment we arrived until we left. Lakeview House is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful part of Donegal. A taxi into Buncrana costs €20 if you are looking for a night on the town.
Breakfast was incredble. Nice and quiet as well
Shower was a little small if I’m really grasping at straws. Everything was great
The location, the food , the owners, the advice of places to see, 5 Star
No issues
The property was clean and nice breakfast provided. Tea/coffee etc in the rooms.
The house smelled of stale cigarettes. In one of the rooms we had the duvet cover had not been changed (though other bedding and towels etc looked clean). Lots of noise during the night of people moving in the house
Nice and quiet place. Beautiful view during breakfast which was delicious. And an absolutely amazing bedroom - like from a fairy tale. I felt like a princess.
Lakeview House had a beautiful view over the lake at Inch Island. It was a very comfortable traditional family home and Shamus and Margaret were very friendly and welcoming. We were lucky to have perfect weather and enjoyed an excellent breakfast.
There is nothing we disliked.
Very good . Very quiet. The television in the sitting room . The view over the lake is Speculator . In. The Site I thought. The little house In the advertising site Was where I would be staying but alas it was a miniature And overall the price was right Rb
Wonderful and peaceful landscape, kind hosts and fine service.
Be prepared for cats..
Lovely breakfast in a very cozy environment and amazing view on the lake. Owners also really welcoming
The property is ideally situated, not far from busy life but located in a quiet peaceful area with beautiful views. A lovely homemade breakfast served at a time of our choosing and our hosts Margaret and Seamus were chatty and more than helpful.
location was very good
facilities were very basic, water was not hot in bathroom, room basic and no tv, food was unsatisfactory in that fry was greasy with salty bacon and thick cold sausages. Bed was uncomfortable and bedroom cold no heating on and old furniture.
Warm welcome, quiet and omfortable accommodation and a hearty breakfast.Nice lake views and handy base for driving trips around Inishowen.
Really enjoyed my stay, hosts Margaret & Seamus were very welcoming & make a great breakfast!
Very friendly and helpful owners. Clean and quiet.
No Wi-Fi on my room l had to go out into the ball but they said they were working on that.
The location was fabulous our hosts friendly chatty lovely people the breakfast was so yummy and we just want to say thankyou 😊
