Reviewed Aug 4, 2026Ivar is a very pleasant and smart man. He has been of great help the day of my stay. He ordered a taxi for me, helped me find the right store to pack my bike before leaving Norway. On top of that, the apartment is right in the center of Alta, close to bars, restaurants, shops and 1mn walk away from the bus terminal. It is also relatively close to the airport (7 mn taxi ride). The perfect place to stay at if you’re in Alta for a night or a couple of nights

Reviewed Oct 17, 2025Der Gastgeber war sehr zuvorkommend. Hatte mich herumgeführt, mir gesagt, ich solle mich doch wie Zuhause fühlen. Er hat mir einen Tee und ein Bier angeboten. Wir haben uns sehr lange und intensiv über alles mögliche auf englisch unterhalten. Ich persönlich liebe ja sowieso den Austausch mit den Einheimischen. Ich habe die Zeit dort wirklich sehr genossen und kann diesen Gastgeber nur weiterempfehlen. Die Wohnung war sauber. So sauber wie es halt in seinem eigenen Haushalt eben sein kann. Ich habe mich gänzlich wohl gefühlt. Und die Aussicht ist wirklich toll. Und obwohl die Wohnung im Herzen der Stadt ist, ist es dort echt ruhig.

This was my first stay during my trip in Norway, and I immediately felt at ease, because of the friendly, helpful and calm nature of the host. Had nice conversations, and gave me good tips to find my way in the town. Would definitely recommend!

Reviewed Jul 2, 2025Wouldn’t call it a penthouse. Normal flat in a very mediocre building. Largest problem ist that the host is very creepy. I would not recommend anyone to stay there. Especially not alone, he will stay in the flat and do weird things I won’t share here.
