Favour Royal Cottage - dog friendly forest escape

Lovely property - spacious

The grass needed cut as I had difficulty finding my dogs poo. No black bin for rubbish. Couldn’t get the heat on at night.

Property was lovely- great location and well equipped

Lovely setting and we'll played out house.

Beds were comfortable. Cottage was clean. Great location. Fresh bread and milk was left for us on arrival.

The cottage is beautiful, right beside a quiet Forrest walk which was lovely to do with the dog. Fully equipped kitchen, board games, cosy stove and and 3 bedrooms

Lovely view, great kitchen and lounge with fantastic fireplace. Very peaceful with a nice forest walk right on the doorstep.

The 2 beds that were made up were unbelievably uncomfortable - both of us had bad backs and necks after one sleep. On our 3rd night we made up the other bed which was fine.

The cottage is beautifully renovated and has an incredible atmosphere throughout. All the little touches add to the experience- from the quirky pictures on the walls, to the gorgeous cookware and even an Alison Roman cookbook. The kitchen is just dreamy! We stayed during the Christmas period, and the decorations were lovely to add to the festive spirit of our girls weekend away. It was all so cosy! Our dogs enjoyed a good run around the garden too and the forest on your doorstep was such a treat!

The house was very cold on arrival but once we got the fire lit it was quickly rectified. It was the perfect cosy spot to weather the storm outside!

Lovely accommodation overall. Very clean and homely. Milk in the fridge and bread was a lovely touch. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the house to friends

There was very little that I didn't like about this property. It was a little hard to find but a phone call to the host sorted that out for us.

It was Christmas time and so cosy and spotlessly clean . It was the perfect place for rest and relaxation. The house is beautiful

This was perfect for what we like as a family. Felt luxury but cottage cosy. Excellent social space with a woods right on the door step. Easy adventures for our dog and us, also we were able to spot deer out the back sitting in the kitchen.

If we are being picky, (we were good we always carry uno or a couple of toys) but one or two more family oriented board games would have been great.

Beautiful cottage retreat,cosy,warm and great location for those who enjoy countryside walks,beds were so comfortable,also fluffy towels provided,owners went the extra bit and it shows,greatfully appreciated

Wonderful cottage in a beautiful location. The hosts were very helpful from start to finish. The cottage itself had a homely feel to it, very cosy, lots of space and a wood burner too. There were lots of walks around the area but unfortunately, we didn't get to explore them due to having not enough time, meaning we will have to come back again. I would recommend the cottage to anyone
