Reviewed Jun 15, 2026Barbara has a little slice of heaven here! We were so impressed with the unit - very comfortable and has everything you need. Clean and neat, beautifully decorated. The views from the unit are spectacular and the beach pristine - teeming with sea life in the rock pools below. We had a superb time and we look forward to visiting again soon. Thanks Barbara!
*didn't like that the geyser appeared to be on a timer... we enjoy hot water on demand, so a gas geyser would be a good upgrade to an already fantastic property.

Reviewed Apr 24, 2026The location and how well thought out everything is. The aesthetic is amazing, they really thought through how a beach stay should be. I loved it. The views were absolutely to die for.
The kitchen cupboards appeared to be unopened for a while, so they were dusty and had webs. A quick wipe down and inventory check would have been appreciated. One pot was broken.

Reviewed Jan 21, 2026Location and the views were superb! Waking up to the sound of the waves and having direct access to the beach below was definitely a highlight for this beautiful sea-side gem.
The apartment could have been cleaned a bit better, it seemed a bit like a rushed job, prior to my arrival, with some marks left on the bedding. However I quickly notified Barbs about this and she swiftly responded taking note of my feedback.

The views were breathtaking, the sunsets from the sea view were unforgettable, and every detail in the home made us feel welcomed and cared for. The kitchen was thoughtfully well equipped, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the space had a soothing, peaceful glow and , waking up to the sea view was magical that helped us unwind from everyday pressures. The hosts Barbara was responsive and kind, quickly addressing any questions and making us feel like we were more than guests—we felt like cherished visitors. We left with hearts full of gratitude and memories we’ll treasure for a long time. Thank you for sharing this magical place with us.

It was sea facing and I loved that we were able to have an unobstructed view of the ocean from a sitting area. We also made use of the braai facility in the pool area. My only regret is that the weather was a bit on the cold side. I will definitely book again. The host was most helpful and helped us to find a good restaurant for seafood.

Reviewed Jun 9, 2025It felt like a smaller version of home and this made I’d super comfortable for us. The beds were very comfortable which is what I struggle with whenever we travel. The coffee station and equipment made my stay even better. The views of the ocean particularly in the morning with a cup of coffee in hand. They left us camp chairs as an alternative to the outside chairs that are exposed to the salt air outside.

We did have a small power outage, but the owner had a back up plan so it didn’t really affect us and I was impressed by the quick response and communication was amazing!

Reviewed May 1, 2025Barbara was amazing, it was our first time in Ballito and she gave us good ideas on the activities and the surroundings. The location of the property is perfect and it is beautiful. We loved the patio and the connection of the living area with the patio through the sliding doors. Braai facilities are clean and well maintained. The pool water is crystal clear and the access gate to the beach is ideal. The kitchen was fully equipped with updated equipment and we will definitely return.
There was still some dust on the fans, bed lamps and in the corners of the living room. We were unable to open the windows in the second bedroom and was a bit hot.

Reviewed Apr 22, 2025I truly loved our stay. The sea view was absolutely breathtaking, and having a private beach right at our doorstep made it even more special. It was such a treat to take a peaceful walk on the beach and dip our feet in the refreshing sea water. A beautiful and relaxing escape by the ocean!
If I had to mention one thing, I’d suggest rearranging the seating in the lounge. The two-seater was a bit uncomfortable. A slight adjustment could really enhance the overall comfort of the space.

The apartment is well equipped, slightly aged but comfortable for a family. Also close to all amenities. Barbara and Happiness, the hostess and cleaning ladies, were wonderful. We stayed for 10 days, which just flew by! My family and I will definitely be back.

We had no electricity for most of the stay which made it difficult to make food and milk for my 2 year old baby our food got spoikt and wasted I a sent an email to the ow er and still haven't received a response

Reviewed Oct 17, 2024The location is lovely overlooking the sea. Barbara who manages the apartment is warm and available and went out of her way to try to sort out the difficulties we encountered in the unit.
We specifically queried whether the internet connection was strong and stable before booking the unit since we had remote work and meetings to attend during our stay. The internet and reception were problematic. The geiser is on a timer, but maybe due to load shedding we seldom had hot water when we wanted to shower or even wash dishes. The last 2 days we only had cold water. As mentioned above, Barbara went out of her way to try to rectify these difficulties.

If you are using Vodacom network coverage is terrible, we were cut off completely our entire stay.
