I came all the way from Alexandria to Madinaty with my family, only to face one of the worst booking experiences I’ve ever had. One day before arrival, I sent the owner message and he didn’t reply back. And on the arrival day, I tried to contact his phone and his phone was not reachable, and then I sent him a message through Booking.com explaining that I had arrived at the location and was unable to contact him. I also mentioned that if I couldn’t reach him soon, I might have to look for another unit. After he saw my messages, he called back, instead of helping, he accused me of not calling him at all and focused only on arguing about calling or not calling, ignoring the fact that I was standing on the street with my family trying to find his place. While I told him that I can send him on WhatsApp a screenshot that I called him, but he became aggressive and said there is no unit for me and asked me to contact Booking.com for a full refund. Because of this unnecessary argument over a small misunderstanding, my family and I were left on the street for over an hour trying to find another place to stay. This was completely unprofessional, and unacceptable behavior for someone renting a property. I would strongly advise others to avoid this owner to save themselves the stress and frustration.
