Beautiful place with little houses that are split in two levels (seperate entrances). The pool area is really nice. The garden is very well maintained. Lionel and staff make great food (breakfast/lunch/dinner). The rooms are comfortable and clean. Its a short walk to the crab market, a small artificial beach by the restaurant the wave and some great small restaurants.

You can arrange tuk tuk and taxi through hotel or just on the street. Theres a price difference.

Everything! Stunning place, excellent food (especially breakfast), lovely couple who run it do everything possible to make sure your stay is the best it can be. So peaceful, right in the heart of nature, beautiful bird song as you wake. The rooms are really spacious, private, dark at night, and have beautiful sitting areas outside. The pool was amazing - our kids' favourite after months of pools. The French owner only serves the very best French bread! And has so many excellent off the beaten track recommendations for the area. Highly recommend, exceptional value.

Fabulous property for my weekend getaway from the city. It’s like a hidden gem in the jungle, very green, quiet, and relaxing. I just wish I could have spent more time there. I really enjoyed the comfortable, quiet room, which had a great resort-like vibe. The breakfast included in the package was simple but enough to fuel us for the day. The pool was probably my favorite; I spent about an hour swimming, surrounded by trees and plants.

The Wi-Fi was unstable during our stay, which was a bit inconvenient as we needed it for work. The AC also stopped during the night and the front cover wasn’t functioning properly. I didn’t have time to report it at check-out, but it may need checking for future guests. Despite these minor issues, we still really enjoyed our one-night stay which is why I rated everything with full score.

It's a relaxing place, you are surrounded by plants in a quiet area. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the bed very comfortable.The area outside the rooms are great as well. And the staff are very attentive. We highly recommend Tara lodge.

We enjoyed our stay at Tara Lodge, the hotel is set in beautiful gardens with a lovely seawater pool. The rooms are large and comfortable, we enjoyed sitting on the balcony. The food was good, both for breakfast and dinner. Loved the freshly cooked pancakes at breakfast.

Die Tara Lodge liegt nicht auf einem Hügel, sondern zu dessen Füßen. Die gemütlichen, aber etwas dunklen Bungalows sind in einem gepflegten Garten mit einem attraktiven Swimmingpool. Das Team ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen und das Frühstück sind vorzüglich. Es gibt auch selbstgemachtes Eis (Zitrone!)

Die Entfernung zum Crab Market ist in GoogleMap und in der Realität mindestens 15 Minuten. Da der Weg etwas eintönig ist, sind wir mit einem Tuktuk gefahren.

Dejlig atmosfære og en god pool. Morgenmad var fint både i smag og størrelse. Hotellet kunne skaffe cykler og scooters så vi kunne komme runt i området.

The location is ok, a short walk to the crab market. A bit too far to walk to Kep beach but you could get a tuk tuk.

Vriendelijk onthaal, prachtig, zeer stijlvol domein en mooie kamer met badkamer en privé terras. Heerlijk zwembad omringd door mooi aangelegde tuin.

Heerlijk zwembad, het ligt iets buiten Kep, maar je kunt in 20min naar de krabmarkt lopen. We hebben een leuke toer geboekt via de accommodatie. Ontbijt was heerlijk (a la carte) en onze bungalow was schoon. Fijn bed.

The lodge truly is a haven of peace. The lush garden and the saltwater pool provide a wonderful oasis and the showers have great pressure. The rooms are big with huge terraces overlooking the garden. The manager is very helpful.

The beds are - like everywhere in Cambodia - very hard. The only "Khmer" breakfast was not really Khmer. There is so much Western breakfasts to chose from, it would have been great to have one authentic Khmer one.

Best place to stay in Kep as it’s so quiet and green, just outside so 15 min walk to Crab market but easy to get tuktuks. Great staff and pool

Lovely spacious room, comfy bed, stunning pool in a well looked after garden. Delicious and generous breakfast. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants and Kep National Park.

Lidt udfordringer med badeværelse. Lidt slidt og trænger til renovering. Toiletdør kunne ikke lukkes og lugt fra afløb.

Small issue, power points were low down and under lamps etc which made it difficult to access them and use.

Sehr schöne Anlage mit tollem tropischen Garten und Salzwasser- Pool. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen und das französische Frühstück mit echtem Baguette war eine willkommene Abwechslung zum üblichen Toastbrot!

Nettes, rustikales, aber in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel am Stadtrand von KEP. Der Salzwasserpool ist schön, die Außenanlagen sind gut gepflegt. Zu Fuß ist man in 15min beim Krabbenmarkt und den benachbarten Restaurants. Frühstück gibt es a la carte. Die Bediensteten sind nett und hilfsbereit. Ein Motorrad kann man am Hotel mieten. Wo

Leider vergaß man an einem Tag unser Zimmer zu reinigen. Ferner war am Tag der Abreise (morgens um 7Uhr) auch Niemand an der Rezeption und man reichte uns dann auch kein Frühstück, wie ursprünglich versprochen.

We loved Tara Lodge with my family: it is truly a haven of peace...as soon as we entered the place, we felt quietness and relaxation. The small size of the hotel reinforces this sense of peace as well as the vegetation and the nice pool Breakfast was very good with fresh fruit shake and several options. It is not close to the beach but can be reached easily by tuk tuk or by foot. Lionel the owner was also very kind in welcoming us ahead of the check-in and advising us on tours. We will definitely come back here if we are lucky to travel to Cambodia again.

Nice and peaceful location. Rooms with lovely large outdoor areas. Great pool and beautiful surroundings. Staff was very pleasant and Lionel was most helpful with his tips on the area and organizing us ferry tickets to our next destination. We also rented a scooter for a couple of days.

The room was a little too dark to my liking in the evening so a bit more lights would be nice.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de presque une semaine, et nous serions bien restés un peu plus tellement nous y étions bien ! La chambre spacieuse et confort avec sa grande terrasse, le jardin luxuriant, la piscine agréable, les grands petits déjeuner et le restaurant sur place très pratique. Nous avons de plus été très bien accueillis et avons reçus de bons conseils.

C'est un un peu à l'écart de la ville, même si c'est aussi ce qui rend le lodge si agréable. Mais en 5mn de tuktuk on est à la plage, 15mn à pied du crab market.

Les Lodges de Lionel se situent dans un oasis luxuriant, très proche du marché au Crabes et idéalement placés pour visiter Kep et ses environs... La piscine est top L endroit est calme,propre et reposant... Lionel donne de très bons conseils afin de passer un séjour interressant... Possibilité de louer des scooters...

Allez, parce que la copie ne peut toujours pas être de 20/20, le Petit déjeuner mériterait d être un peu plus copieux et varié...mais bon, c était pour chipoter😉

Lugar maravilloso decorado con gusto. Una paz fascinante, el jardín es hermoso. Fue muy interesante hablar con la gente que trabajaba en recepción, nos dieron muy buenas recomendaciones sobre como pasar el rato en Kep. Una pena habernos quedado tan poco tiempo. Muy agradecidos y contentos por los instantes pasados en este bonito hotel.

Tara Lodge is an amazing place! The room was clean and beautiful. Lots of butterflies in the garden and the pool was the best one we had during our travels. The staff is super nice!

Amazing place to come have a few chill days. Nested in the trees with a charming set up and pool. Thw staff is lovely, always smiling and the food is great too.

Dit was voor ons echt een tegenvaller. Gezien de hoge score op booking hadden we hoge verwachtingen. Helaas. Dit resort is een half jaar geleden overgenomen en wellicht dat dat de reden was. De kamer rook niet fris en de badkamer stonk naar rioollucht. Na ons beklag gaf Marie aan dat dit heel raar was aangezien er de nacht ervoor ook mensen waren geweest en die hadden niets gezegd. We hebben om een andere kamer gevraagd maar het hotel was volgeboekt. Toen ik met het tandenpoetsen aan de wastafel middenin mijn eigen afvalwater uit de wastafel stond was ik wel klaar. Onder de wastafel was de afvoer een slang die naar een putje liep en steeds overstroomde. De manager Lionel gaf de dag erna aan dat ze deze kamer moesten sluiten en eerst op moesten knappen. Toen ik einde dag 2 mijn gewassen kleding na 24 uur nat terug ontving ( het was de hele dag zonnig weer geweest dus geen excuus) knapte er iets. Wat een teleurstelling dit plekje. Het ontbijt was goed! Ter compensatie hebben we 1 nacht niet hoeven te betalen daar waren we blij mee. Vandaar dat ik geen 1 heb gegeven.

Hôtel vraiment de très bon goût. L'extérieur autour de la piscine et la piscine sont magnifiques. Nous étions au début de la saison des pluies et avons eu l'hôtel pour nous toutes seules. Un immense privilège. L'hôte est adorable, serviable. La nourriture y est bonne. Honnêtement, c'était au-delà de nos espérances et le meilleur de nos logements au Cambodge.

We loved everything about our stay here. We booked for 4 nights and ended up staying for 6 (and it was still hard to leave). It really is a little "haven of peace". Rooms were a great size with really comfortable beds, and the balcony was large too with a lounger, table and chairs. We spent a lot of time in and beside the beautiful pool. A lovely temperature, salt water, and very clean. The food was great (we ate there a lot if we didn't feel like leaving). Srey Kuhn is an excellent cook, and one of the sweetest people we've ever met. Thanks Lionel for your excellent hospitality... we can't wait to be back!

L’hôtel est vraiment magnifique ! Les chambres sont dans des petits bungalow en bois charmants. La piscine et le jardin sont exceptionnels !! Il y a le petit déjeuner et la possibilité de prendre les repas directement à l’hôtel. Nous avons pu louer un scooter et la gérante a été très gentille en nous présentant les différentes activités à faire.

Die Lage, der Pool und der Garten waren gut. Leider hatten wir das Pech, dass im naheliegenden Stadion das ganze Wochenende über eine Sportveranstaltung stattfand mit entsprechendem Lautsprechereinsatz. Die Betreiber gaben uns Tipps für Unternehmungen, blieben aber äußerst reserviert und wir fühlten uns nicht sehr willkommen. Insgesamt bräuchte es an einigen Stellen eine Auffrischung und Erneuerung. So wies die Bettwäsche Flecken und Löcher auf. An sich nicht so schlimm, aber in Hinblick auf den Preis doch verwunderlich. Die geräumigen Zimmer blieben durch die Milchverglasung immer etwas duster.

Tout! La piscine très agréable au milieu d’un jardin luxuriant. Un grand soin accordé à la décoration et aux petits détails. Notre bungalow était très grand et confortable. L’accueil était très attentionné et le petit déjeuner était délicieux.

Le cadre est très chouette, éloigné de la ville, sur les hauteurs . C’est très végétalisé, calme et la piscine est agréable . On y mange bien et des plats cambodgiens ce qui est appréciable quand on n’a pas envie de ressortir après une journée de visite . Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres .

Avoir des serviettes de piscine serait un plus ainsi que la possibilité de faire des machines. Malheureusement dans notre chambre le wifi ne fonctionnait pas.

It is a very nice colonial style building with some amazing, historical details in the room decor. Very comfortable beds and the whole compound is lovely for a couple of nights stay in the capital. Location is good but withdrawn and quiet. Very helpful staff.

Très beau jardin et piscine chaude. Personnel agréable. Disponible pour des recommandations et réserver des moyens de transport. Nourriture correcte et bon jus de fruits. Logement propre... Impeccable pour finir nos vacances au Cambodge. On serait bien resté un peu plus.
