Glamping Troll House Eco-Cottage, Nuuksio for Nature lovers, Petfriendly

Kotoisa mökki, jonka puusauna antoi todella ihanat löylyt. Viihdyin siellä kauan. Mukava sänky. Mökki itsessään tunnelmallinen, kotoisa ja mukava. Ihanaa että ulkona oli katos, jonne voi mennä sateellakin istumaan. Oli myös lämpöpatterit, mikäli tuli kylmä. Omistajat vastasivat hyvin kysymyksiin ja muutamaan puheluun, sai pyydettyä apua tarvittaessa. Omistajat olivat oikein mukavia.

Mökki sijaitsee aivan omistajan takapihalla, näkösuojaa ei ole tarpeeksi ja mökistä ja sen pihalta näkyy omistajan ikkunoihin. Ulkosuihkussa ei tarpeeksi hyvää näköestettä, etenkin kun ottaa huomioon sijainnin suoraan omistajan takapihalla. Jotta veteen pääsee pulahtamaan, pitää kävellä melko pitkä reitti omistajan pihan läpi ja kasvuston läpi, jossa oli huonohko tallattu reitti ja iso nokkonen keskellä reittiä josta sain pistoksen, kun uikkareilla kävelin. Laiturin veteen johtavista tikapuista puuttui alimmainen askelma, joten ylöspääsy takaisin laiturille oli hankalaa. En suosittelisi vanhempia ihmisiä kokeilemaan, voi käydä hassusti. Vessassa käsienpesuun tarkoitettua vesiastiaa ei ollut täytetty valmiiksi ja edellisten majoittujien vanhat kahvinpurut olivat kahvikoneessa. Ei grillipihtejä, joten grillailu tulella oli ajoittain hankalaa. 140 euron yöhintaan pitää itse siivota, imuroida, tiskata, putsata hiilet ym. ennen lähtöä. Mielestäni esim. pelkkä tiskaamisen pyytäminen olisi kohtuullisempaa, sillä hinta on korkea jo valmiiksi.

The host was so warm and friendly. She made sure that we were settled well and showed us the essentials of the property. When we needed assistance with something, she responded quickly. The place is well-maintained and extremely clean. I really love the place and my dogs had a great time too.

The hosts were very kind and welcoming. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful nature and was a perfect place to relax. We definitely recommend renting a canoe and going into the forest to explore and pick mushrooms.

Aivan ihana pieni peikkomökki. Kaikki tarvittava ja enemmänkin löytyi. Sauna tarjosi erittäin hyvät ja kosteat löylyt. Vaataanotto oli ystävällinen. Rauhallinen paikka ja ihanan hiljaista. Ikimuistoinen hääyö vietetty ❤️

It was just what we wanted, an off grid experience, it was cute and cosy and the owner couldn’t do enough for us

The property was exactly as described and it was the glamping experience I had hoped for; the location was amazing with lots of forest walks near by and a lake and a private sauna to enjoy after a day out; generally very peaceful, cozy and quiet and therefore perfect to unwind and relax, WiFi was provided if one wished; the host was very friendly and accommodating, definitely a place to come back to. Thank you for being such a great host.

Rachelin ja Mikan kanssa kommunikointi ja toiminta oli sujuvaa ja moitteetonta!

Kota oli hyvin harva. Satuimme majoittumaan sadekelillä, ja vesi tuli sisään kotaan. Lisäksi tuuli pääsi suorastaan tuivertamaan sisään. Vanhaa hormiakaan ei oltu edes tukittu. Ymmärrän, että kyseessä on kesäkäyttöön tarkoitettu kota, mutta Suomen kesä on joskus jopa luminen ja mukavaan yöpymiseen tämmöiset olosuhteet ovat liian heikot. Yksi lämpöpatteri ei riittänyt tuomaan lämpöä tarpeeksi, tai sitten sen antama lämpö karkasi avoimesta hormista, joten palelimme. Uskoisin että myös harvuuden takia kotaan pääsee ilmeisen usein ampiaisia tekemään pesiä. Sauna oli muuten hyvä ja ajoi asiansa, mutta emme arvostaneet sitä että siellä ei saanut käyttää vettä laisinkaan pesutarkoitukseen. Olemme tottuneet kyllä peseytymään sankovedellä, mutta lähtökohtaisesti saunassa. Mietimme, että saunassa täytyy kuitenkin käyttää vettä esim löylyn heittämiseen sekä lämpimän veden tekoon, joten miksi mitään viemäröintiä ei ole?? Peseytymiseen tarkoitettu lämmin vesi täytyi kantaa ulos oleskelutilan läpi. 140e yöstä on mielestäni sen verran paljon rahaa tämmöisessä kohteessa, että siivoaminen ei kuulu enää vuokralaisten vastuulle. En löytänyt ennen varausta tietoa laisinkaan tästä siivouspakosta tai vaihtoehtoisesti -sakosta, vaan tieto tuli minulle ilmi vasta varauksen jälkeen tulleesta infoviestistä. Jos saan lapset hoitoon ja lähden rentoutumaan lomalle, en halua joutua siivoamaan ilman että saan siitä tiedon ennen varausta.

Very relaxing, beautiful and well-kept place.

Because we had such a great time last week, we booked ourselves in for another night on our way back. Time restraints limited this stay to one night as well, but we will be back for a longer stay next year. Amazing host and amazing location, a little jewel with a very personal touch making this a home while being away from home. Thank you!

Amazing host and a wonderful location. Dogs are more than welcome and our doggies loved the company of the two residential ones. Rachel tailors the stay to the needs and wishes of her guests and canoe, sauna and even a hot tub are available on request for a small fee. Next to Nuuksio National Park and Nuuksio Lake the location offers everything a nature lover would want from swimming, canoeing, mushrooming and hiking. The cottage itself combines camping and comfort in true glamping style. We for sure will be back – our only regret is that we stayed only for one night on the way up North. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Sänky oli liian pehmeä.

We were traveling with Our dog who had to have backsurgery so we chose this property because of the description as a calm space ideal for dogs. The location was good as it was somewhat close to the animal hospital.

Hot, so hot, although the owner very Kindly provided us with an extra fan it was totally invearable with Our newly operated dog. The owner obviously cant control the weather. To survive the night we had to buy a small AC Unit as not to go under by heatstroke all if us. Only after booking we found out there were other dogs on the property. Very friendly dogs that would have been very much apreciated had it not been Our particular circumstance. The owner did keep the dogs away when we brought out dog from surgery and that I truly apreciated. The owner was very understanding. Even provided items to help keep Our dog hydrated. So apreciated! Thank You! Also we were allowed to park Our car closer to the property so that we didnt have to carry out dog as far as from the public parking space. Also very appreciated! Thank You! I am only writing this so that if somebody is in a similar situation to ours they will understand it is not an ideal property with a sick pet. One other thing I want to mention, the floor boards were not solid and we were constatly worried to step through the floor.

Nice lady, nice location and cute little house. Bus stop is right there! Loved the dogs, we even were allowed to walk one of them.

We weren‘t able to go swimming because the lake is private property and everything around it too. We had to wait quite a bit until we were able to check in, so we headed for a hike. I personally thought the hut was cute but very small. I think with my partner it would’ve been fine but with a friend it’s crowded.

Rachel was an excellent host, and the area is beautiful.

Very quiet a place to unwind and read a book We were unable to enjoy the forest walk due to the rain but we just enjoyed relaxing also Wi fi is available for those who require Restaurant LaLuna 5 minutes away great food pizza kebabs and burgers and sit in and enjoy

Due to overcast weather hot water didn’t heat so only cold shower available unless you have a sauna and warm the water in the sauna and use that water to wash This obviously is not the hosts fault Mother Nature predicts the weather
