Good breakfast, good location,
Small bed slightly damaged with wear and tear.
Fire alarms going off at 6am then various times the night before.
Great location right on the sea front noth6
Nothing really nice staff extremely helpful
The room was very basic but it was very clean and definitely worth the money paid. Good location.
Spacious, clean, en suite , tv and remote in room, sea view, helpful staff
Some decor requires sprucing up. Wrong door closure for room door.
staff were very nice and the rooms were very secure. Loved our stay!
there was conditioner in the room but no shampoo
Room exceeded expectation. Beautiful harbour view. My stay was to attend an event away from the hotel, but access to and support from hotel was easy.
Could find the TV control, but easily resolvable if important.
Location was good. Car parking was good. Staff were helpful.
Room was dirty and not cleaned for all 3 days. Shower was weak and leaked all over the floor. Mattresses were lumpy and not comfy.
I didnt have breakfast there but the menu looked alright when i looked af it in the room and regarding travel there bus stop outside of hotel
One set of the towel was dirty but there was two sets so i used the ither set
No breakfast available. Excellent location with views overlooking the sea

Chaotic or virtually non existent reception Bad lighting in corridors and room Need a serious upgrade, grubby appearance throughout, electric wires not tailed in on corridors, burn marks and stains on room carpets
Nice friendly staff, lovely location, nice pub, warm room, comfortable bed, beautiful food.
No remote for tv, no spoon for tea/coffee, cups too small. Room wasn't cleaned from previous guest but staff put us in a different room straight away. Internet kept going off saying incorrect password.
Excellent staff throughout all brilliant stay! 😁

Netter Pub im Hotel
The location is excellent for Stadium of Light and walks along the seafront. Nice bar with what looked like good food even though I did not eat in the hotel. Sea view from the room was bonus. The room was large and spacious with plenty of storage. Comfortable bed and a T.V with news channels which is what I prefer.
Nothing really. Turning the shower on was awkward but Im being picky
I couldn't get home from the match, no public transport (New Year's Day), so I booked a room here. Did the job. 👍
Not the greatest facilities, but nice warm room.
Clean and modern comfortable bed
Curtains weren't up properly
The staff are really nice and the room is good. The pub downstairs does excellent food.

Breakfast was amazing, location was brilliant. Loved our stay
No hairdryer
Surrounded with a beach front view of the sea
Issues regarding parking , there was hardly anywhere to park
Location and price
Bed was broken, lots of upgrades needed
The room was very basic with no heating on at all freezing cold especially on the sea front.
Absolutely freezing and dirty
I didn’t stay for the 2 nights - it was dirty and freezing - I complained and got no reply or refund.
Staff was polite
Bedrooms filthy and had bedbugs in i got bit and had severe reaction. Hotel have not responded to multiple complaints since
Staff where excellent very friendly room was just right for us aswell highly recommend
Hi the parking space outside !!!!
Hi we stayed in room 12A the most expensive room at £105 This was the worse hotel room we have ever had the unfortunate situation to stay in The bathroom was beyond dirty Toilet seat covered underneath from last guest Rusty bin full of last person s rubbish !!!! Radiator dirty bath full of ginger hairs it was barely usable!!!! We hadn’t taken much notice at 4 pm when booking in as we were rushing out to the football!!! It was at 11 pm we noticed how poor it was !!!! The bedding on bed and towels were clean a plus point window curtains were on the floor always useful when wanting to cut out street lights???? Main big window just didn’t close there was a hair clip from last guest who had obviously struggled too !!! We used the bed and left at daylight!!!! I would avoid this hotel !!!!! They didn’t reply to my message??? Maybe they don’t have any cleaning staff ??????
The staff were lovely, warm, and welcoming. The location was brilliant. Lyndsey went out of her way to try and help us. The staff need more recognition, and maybe the owners could put as much money into the hotel as the bar! The room had potential it was big and spacious. Breakfast was lovely.
Walking down the corridors to the room we felt pretty cold, however once we opened the door to our room it was absolutely freezing. We went down to the bar/reception to be told the heating was broken, then someone told us it wasn't broken it needed switching on, it was on a timer and it had been "boosted". We sat in the warm bar for a while, went back up to our room hoping it would be warm, still baltic. The water finally ran luke warm after a while of running the tap so I chanced a shower, soaped up and hair shampoo'd the shower then decided to go ice cold. Once out of the shower, wrapped in a towel, the fire alarm went off several times, (my lad was in the cold shower at the time). Staff came and checked all was ok, then returned again to double check, by this time, Im now in my underwear. They wanted to double check the room as my sarcastic comment of we have lit a candle to try and get warm was actually taken seriously. So we let them in, I hid away behind the wardrobe door, realising too late, half the curtains were missing (the curtains rails were on the floor) so most of the sea front had seen me in my underwear! We got ready and left for an evening at a family party. When we returned we hoped the heating had come on and warmed the room, it hadn't, we retrieved the spare duvet and curtains from the bottom of the wardrobe and placed them on the beds, we were going to be going to bed fully dressed. My husband popped down for a cigarette and mentioned to the ladies how bad it was, a very lovely lady lyndsey brought us extra duvets, agreeing the room was freezing and all this at well after midnight. (She is lovely and deserves a mention, she really did go Above and beyond) So settled in bed fully dressed with mountains of duvets, we turned the light off......oh my goodness, the room was brighter without the light. The street light (space ship) outside the incurtained windows lit the whole room up!
Great staff n great food
Beds had springs coming through couldn't get any sleep heating was not working
Breakfast was great
The heating was not working and the room was cold. We were in a twin room and one of the duvets was not suitable for the climate
Friendly staff, nice location
Base on bed broken, no tv remote, no heating on, very cold in room.
Staff were friendly, the location suited us, the price was reasonable.
The room would benefit from refurbishment, there was a kettle, tea, but no cups! The bar staff provided cups on request. The carpet and blinds needed to be replaced. there was no hot water on our final day. There were no shelves in the toilet for our toiletries. there was no remote control for the tv.
The location is amazing
Needs updating but was clean and done the job for us
The convenience of the location and the breakfast
The cleaners were really pushy to get us out of the room after being delayed with showering after fire alarms went of then would stop and start every 5 mins we wasn't sure what to do
Amazing views from foreshore room
Tired and dirty, cleaner and chef hadn’t turned up.. one poor harried staff member tried his best.
Liked the location
The room
Stay very nice and helpful. Building needs maintaining very dated.
Great location.
Jennifer is a wonderful host,a credit to the pub. She oozes warmth and welcoming
The bed was dire..felt like i was laying on a giant harp
The hotel is in a good location with a view of the sea. The room was clean and a good size.
It does not serve breakfast.
Excellent location, nice rooms, free parking, nice views from the room, great value for money.
Room was quite cold
ensuite, close proximity to beach, staff helpful especially Jordan
Phone charger taken, alleged mistake from cleaner, 3 charges taken, 2 given back, I dread to think what was going on in my absence' couldn't believe what someone put as a favorite on firestick left in room? very rare to have a tv remote in rooms, wifi was poor. windows poor quality didnt prevent wind noises and the boy racer car exhausts outside, the everest feather test would have blown across the room
I liked the view, there were 3 beds in room, my double was comfy, t tray was good, tv was good. Staff were great. Free parking. Clean room.
Beds need mattress protectors, carpets are grubby, iron leaked brown water. Need blinds on side windows.
The location is really conveniently situated right by 2 bus stops a short walk away from the beach and a variety of restaurants, the staff are amazing will bend over backwards to help and are super friendly can't fault the staff at all. The food in the pub is really good and the chef is super lovely they are really looking to accommodate any allergies or preferences you can tell they care alot about the quality of food they put out and I'd say the price you pay is worth it. The portion sizes are decent for the price also. The room is very basic but you get what you pay for we paid 200 for 4 nights breakfast isn't included which is relatively cheap considering the prices of rival hotels in the area and we found that it did what it said on the tin. is a good base and if you get bored there is a pub right downstairs.
The room didn't have much personality and was kind of cold and we had some teething problems at the start where our electric in our room tripped, the fire alarm went off at 9am and our hot water stopped coming through for a while but I would like to add that the staff will do absolutely anything to help and every time we had an issue someone was on the case straight away. Also we found that the cleaner only came once and we were in the room so we asked her to come back and for the rest of the time we were there we didn't see her and that meant we didn't get fresh towels or refills for our toilet roll and tea and coffees and the lovely bar staff was happy to accommodate and get us the stuff it was just slightly disappointing considering the amount we paid but when our electric tripped the cleaner was more than happy to help and she was very friendly so take that review with a pinch of salt.
Staff were lovely, food was good
Family room on top floor but view made up for it. Fake balcony i call it was a tease lol
We had to move rooms because of the state of the first room, second room was no better if not worse. Cleanliness was shocking with cobwebs broken bed disgusting floors where we had to leave shoes on as we got so dirty. Cracked damp walls and floors, I'm expecting to be poorly after staying there it was disgusting
Good size room, very comfortable bed, good size bathroom, love the view from my window. above expectation
none
Great view of the sea
It was cold in the bedroom and during our stay we couldn't get any food from the place.
Staff were lovely, nice pub, beautiful location.
Doors in corridor slam noisy with guests coming and going, no spoons in room for tea/coffee, cups too small, curtains didn't close to keep light out.
Clean, friendly staff, good price
Nothing
Lovely location good parking
Bar and food times could be better
Excellent value you won’t get a better en-suite for the price in Sunderland
Dated
Staff were helpful, cleaned the dirty bathroom when we arrived On second night provided extra duvet and tried to repair broken window that would not close
Dirty bathroom when we arrived. Broken window that would not close causing a Draft Cold, no ability to heat room.
For the location, the view, the service best value in Sunderland.
Unbelievable price for a spacious double room with en suite
Mattress and aging decor
The location is great – just a few minutes away from the seafront. Unfortunately, that's the only positive.
I never leave reviews, which shows how bad this place was. Upon arrival there was loads of littter and broken glass in car park – I could look past the litter, but broken glass isn't ideal when you're trying to find a space to park. For some reason the check-out time for this hotel is 10am, which is ridiculously early – most I've used previously have been 11am or 12pm. I requested a late check out and this was accommodated until 1pm, which was appreciated. However, this wasn't honoured the next day. Got up to the dark, dingy room and it was absolutely filthy and covered in dust – there were what appeared to be bloodstains on the bedding and the mattress belongs in the tip – loads of broken springs poking through which made for an uncomfortable sleep. Lighting fixtures hanging off the walls and zero PAT testing on any of the dodgy-looking electrical items in the room, which didn't fill me with confidence. The bathroom has some kind of weird, black linoleum-type material stuck to the walls – judging by the overpowering smell of mildew in there, I can only assume this is to hide mould beneath. The room was freezing – I had to sleep fully clothed including a hoodie. You also can't get out the front door at night, which was bizarre – you have to go through the bar and ask to be let out. The following morning finally arrived and we were awoken to a fire alarm test at 09:45 – just what you want on a Sunday during a (supposedly) relaxing weekend away. I can only assume this is a tactic to get people up and out by the 10am check-out time. About 5 minutes later, another fire alarm went off. Got back in bed and tried to get back to sleep ahead of my long drive home. Barely a few minutes passed before the (extremely rude) cleaner was hammering on the door telling us to 'get out' by 10am. Explained we had arranged a late checkout until 1pm, which she said she would have to go and ask downstairs about (as if we were lying).
