Atithi Devo Bhava ( Guest is God) - this is the philosophy by which Mr. Amey Latkar, the owner of this homestay, lives every moment and this is the summum bonum of our experience during our delightful 2 days stay there. The homestay is beautiful, spotlessly neat, clean, spacious and full of positive vibes. The garden the greenery, the early morning bird calls the comfortably done up terrace, all help to really shake off any weariness one may be carrying. It was our family's first visit to Kolhapur and Shri Amey proved to be a one man army - right from arranging our meals, to guiding us regarding the various places to visit, to arranging our travel - every little detail was efficiently handled. He was available 24x7. Most memorable was our pooja at the Mahalakshmi temple for which he arranged everything. The USP of this homestay is that it really feels like a home away from home. We also enjoyed our interesting conversations with Mr. Amey. We plan to return again just to experience all this once again. Thanks a lot.

We had a wonderful stay at Home Away From Home in Kolhapur from 2nd July to 4th July 2025. Traveling as a group of three adults and our beloved fur baby, HOPE, we were delighted to find a homestay that was not only pet-friendly but also genuinely welcoming and thoughtfully maintained. The 2BHK space was extremely spacious, clean, and comfortable — offering plenty of room for all of us to relax and for HOPE to joyfully roam around both indoors and outdoors. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of comfort for humans and freedom for pets — and because HOPE enjoyed every moment of her stay, we did too! 🐶❤️ The breakfast was another highlight — generous in both quality and quantity, it set a great tone for each day. Everything was served fresh and with care, just like everything else at this property. Location-wise, the homestay is well-situated — just about 15 minutes from the beautiful Rankala Talao, making local sightseeing very convenient. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Amey Latkar, our kind and attentive host, who made sure our stay was smooth and memorable. If you're looking for a peaceful, clean, and pet-friendly place in Kolhapur that truly lives up to its name, this is it! Highly recommended! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Everything is Good. Nothing to complaint about it.

Property was super clean and very much upto date. Every minute requirements were well thought of and were kept in a very systematic manner. Excellent place for a cozy family stay. Mr Amey is super helpful and shall always be ever ready to offer any sort of help. He has a very good knowledge about the local delicacies in Kolhapur.

I loved everything in the property.

Amey is an amazing host. He made us feel very warm and welcoming. He also advised us on all the places to eat. The breakfast and dinner was very scrumptious. Very typical maharashtrian vegetarian food. Home away from home is very apt for the name and stay as it feels like home. This is one of the best places to stay as Amey himself makes sure the house is spic and span. Right from the washrooms to the kitchen, dining, living and bedrooms are very neat and clean. He has made sure of all the little essentials like the plates, cups, vessles in the kitchen are at hand. The washrooms have soap, toiletries, bath towels. The area too is very safe as the CCTV cameras are everywhere. One would highly recommend this property and will always look forward to coming back here. A home away from home!!

The only drawback of this place is it is a bit far from the Mahalaxmi temple. If one wants to go to the temple early morning there is no transport available to get there unless one has their own transport and a knowhow of the city where one could park their car as there are a lot of one ways near the temple area.

We like everything

This is a genuine review. The property is nice and beautiful. The host Amey is polite and takes care of everything. Our children enjoy it here a lot, due to various toys at the property. Well maintained,, clean and beautiful property with pleasant stay for us, just like home.

Amay was very helpful to share location Details and things to do in Kolhapur for day stay. Property is family friendly and kept neat and clean. Few board games kept at property for small children. In the terrace area there is artificial lawn and table has been kept to enjoy dinner. No deviations in the photographs shared on booking.com.

Owner was enough experienced and nice , did not leave a space to say any thing in negativity . every thing was proper and handled in best manner .

The hospitality

Lovely, clean, and beautiful house located very near to all the basic needs but away from the hustle and bustle of the main road. Very well kept. The owner Mr Amey looks after each and every minutest details. His attention to details and thoughtfulness are beyond expectation. Also, it is pet-friendly in the true sense. This is one of the best pet-friendly pIace I have ever been to and trust me we travel a lot across the country. He even took us to visit the Mahalaxmi temple. Everyday he would get us warm, super tasty breakfast. Even lunch etc also he helped us with super tasty local homely meals.

There was nothing that we did not like. It was such a peaceful place with immense positive energy. Amenities like the Wifi, OTT, Kitchen things, maid service, everything is top notch. And as I mentioned earlier all the littlest things have been thought of for the comfort of the guests. It looks like the owner has his heart into it and cares for everyone, be it an adult, a child or pets. One has to visit this place to experience it. Words cannot describe

The house is very beautiful, nicely maintained. You will feel like you are at home. Rooms are spacious, my 3 year old daughter really loved the house and could play and enjoy herself. The house owner Amey is an excellent host. Very nice person and made us very comfortable. Provided us nice and yummy breakfast. He was always available whenever we needed him and guided us with site seeing in Kolhapur and Mahabaleshwar.

Very thoughtfully done home, like minute details were good. True to its name it was a home away from home. Very clean!

Host Amey is one of the best host I have come across in my recent times, he is extremely down to earth and very helpful with everything. The property is perfect stay for a family who is looking for comfortable and private space, it’s a 2 BHK bungalow with all basic and modern amenities, which literally gives you a luxury stay at an very affordable price.
