Waiata Shepherds Hut- Off Grid retreat

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in der Waiara Shepherds Hut. Die Lage ist super ruhig und die Hütte sehr gemütlich. Als wir angekommen sind brannte bereits das Feuer im Kamin. Penny ist eine sehr aufgestellte und zuvorkommende Hostess.Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

This is the best place, we were super impressed! Comfortable and Clean. Penny was lovely and so helpful with explaining where everything is and worked! Hot Tub was amazing!

The outside bath was so relaxing, bed was comfortable and fire kept you super warm . Had the best night sleep here.

The water pump was loud and compost toilet was stinky . I prob didn’t read . but only tea and coffee making facility’s no mini fridge . You have to drive to town for food . Can’t even do soup which would have been cool.

The host was so lovely, she came over and made us feel really comfortable- like a family friend. The stay was exactly what we were seeking, an accessible off the grid vibe!

That we couldn’t stay for another 7 years 🤣

Owners were Lovely. Very peaceful and relaxing. Felt at home. Bed was super comfortable. All round a fantastic stay. Will definitely go back. Thanks Penny

The beautiful peaceful location and most of all the main highlight was by far the hot tub 💫💝 Penny was vibrant and lovely to meet and even went as far as delivering an item of clothing we’d left behind all the way back Christchurch Will definitely be back to stay 🙏🏾

Everything. Even better than advertised. Wonderful hosts. The bathtub is an experience of its own. Such old school. Pro tip is to stay up late and watch the stars. Truly a rejuvenating experience. Thank You❤️

Zero issues, can't recommend enough

Beautiful spot which had everything we needed. Particularly enjoyed having the log burner and wood fired bath. Penny gave us a warm welcome and had even left some chocolate brownie out for us. (Don’t know if that happens every time)

The beautiful atmosphere and peacefulness! Penny was so respectful and we felt as if we were alone the whole trip The hot tub by the pond is a beautiful additional, we lit it for night and laid in the warm water looking up at the stars Penny's shepherds hut is tiny home heaven, a heated shower is luxurious and with the tea/coffee was a lovely addition Super close to hamner to go out for dinner and adventures we definitely look forward to returning - we enjoyed our first night so much we requested to stay for a second!

Off grid, quiet and peaceful. Beautiful. Very close to Hamner Springs but feels very rural.
