Reviewed Aug 29, 2026Friendly and nice place to stay in Masinagudi! Rooms are nice and the garden is a very cosy place to hang out. We really enjoyed our stay here and the staff are very helpful and service minded. If we asked for help with anything, like booking safari tours or taxi, or needed help with lunch they were always willing to help out.
We booked safari tours in the reception and got a very great guide/driver that knew the area very well. He really tried his best to give us a good experience!
The food in the hotel restaurant is good, I would recommend the paneer butter masala!
When we stayed at the nest inn there was some construction going on, both inside the hotel and outside, that made some noise during day time. We did not mind that so it was fine for us, but perhaps good to be aware of if you are sensitive to noise 🙂
The first room we had was upstairs had a balcony with a view over the mountains. However it was a bit ruined by the construction site and some electrical cables partly blocking the view.
Later, when we decided to stay a couple of extra nights, we changed room to a downstairs room with the view over the garden instead. In this room the outside terrace was bigger and we enjoyed this view more!

Reviewed Mar 13, 2026I liked that it was a relaxing complex with a beautiful garden. The rooms were nice and clean plus you had a small balcony to sit. The staff were very nice and went out of their way to help you. The breakfast was enormous and quite tasty.
The WiFi kept dropping in and out so one had to be a little patient with it.

Un Safari ou deux, après vous êtes là pour vous reposer dans le magnifique jardin. Une petite balade dans les ruelles du village est aussi possible mais guère plus car le tigre rôde..

Reviewed Feb 10, 2026Zatrzymaliśmy się w The Nest Inn Resort na 3 dni i zdecydowanie polecamy to miejsce. Apartament był czysty i zadbany, z pięknym ogrodem oraz niesamowitym widokiem na góry. Dodatkowo serwowano bardzo dobre i obfite śniadania. Personel był miły i pomocny, szczególnie Aldrin, który zawsze dbał o to, aby niczego nam nie brakowało. Bardzo polecamy również skorzystanie z safari oferowanego przez resort. Radha to człowiek nie tylko o ogromnej wiedzy o zwierzętach, ale także ogromnej pasji. Dzięki niemu mogliśmy nie tylko podziwiać zwierzęta, ale również wiele się o nich dowiedzieć.

Reviewed Jan 31, 2026Bardzo dobra lokalizacja blisko rezerwatu Mudumalai. Wspaniały personel, życzliwy i pomocny. Otrzymaliśmy bardzo obfite pyszne śniadanie godzinę przed oficjalnym czasem. Wygodne duże pokoje z klimatyzacją. Wygodne łóżka. Duża łazienka.
Drobny minus to szybko kończąca się ciepła woda. Ale starcza na szybki prysznic.

Reviewed Jan 30, 2026Highly recommendable housing. Beautiful, clean and comfortable place. Professional staff, tasty kitchen fulfilled our expectations. Suitable accommodation has been provided to our driver.
In addition, we had the chance to go on a safari with Radha Krishnan and spotted many wild animals (elephants, gaur, bear, deers, birds, lizard).
Note that the village as such does not provide many activities options besides safaris.

Reviewed Jan 27, 2026Van aankomst tot vertrek verliep alles super. Hartelijke ontvangst, vriendelijk personeel, mooie en ruime en nette kamer en badkamer, gezellig eigen terras, mooie tuin, rustige ligging. Ook de keuken is een aanrader!
Zeker ook het vermelden waard is de service die Aldrixl ons bood. De manier waarop hij ons verwende was magnifiek.
Ik zou het niet weten.

Reviewed Jan 11, 2026We had a great experience staying at this resort. The room was very clean, beautiful, and well organized. Everything felt comfortable and taken care of.
Before arriving, I contacted them to ask if they could help us arrange a safari. They have a private safari guide on site. It’s not the government-run safari, but it’s quite affordable and still very interesting. The safari goes through the three main roads where you can still see animals. We weren’t as lucky as we hoped with sightings, but we enjoyed it and even booked him again the next day for a trip to a nearby area.
The staff were extremely helpful during our whole stay. On our last day, we overslept and were late for checkout. They were very flexible, allowed us to check out later, and even served us breakfast although we were already an hour late. They also helped us find our way back to Mysore by bus, and one of the staff members even came with us to the bus station to make sure we got there correctly.
Overall, it was a really nice experience. The service was excellent and we felt very well supported. I would definitely recommend this place.

Reviewed Dec 23, 2025Very courteous staff, supportive in every sense. Neat and clean rooms. Garden was superb with birds chirping around in the morning. Room had all the facilities needed. Good and safe parking place.
If the location would have been bit more interior, it would have been lovely. Rooms didnt had much of privacy as it was built like row houses. TV was not working but again this is a common problem everywhere, A morning news is a mandate which I missed. Food menu can be thought out again, it had very limited choices. Again these are not negative comments but opportunity for improvement.

Beautiful gardens with views to the mountains. On site restaurant. Balcony seating area. Safaris arranged by hotel with Mr Radah Krishna who was an excellent and well informed guide.
Parents not keeping their children under control allowing them to run wild throughout the hotel grounds at all hours of the day. Shame because it could have been a wonderfully tranquil place to enjoy the lovely gardens and view.

They calling every time from 8:30 PM onwards for food order when last order is to be placed by 10PM. While they did serve at 10:30 as we wanted but becomes very annoying when they keep chasing from 8:30 PM onwards rest all good.

Reviewed Jun 8, 2025We had a wonderful one-night stay at Nest Inn, Mudumalai! The resort is incredibly baby-friendly, which made our travel with our little one so much easier and more enjoyable. The food was delicious, and every dish was served with so much care. What stood out the most was the hospitality—the staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. It felt like a home away from home in the middle of nature. Highly recommended for families and nature lovers!

Reviewed May 11, 2025We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this serene natural setting, surrounded by forest and delicious food. The friendly staff added to the warmth of our experience.
While there were a couple of minor drawbacks - some noisey people from the neighboring room until around 11pm and loudspeakers from the nearby temple throughout the day.
Well maintained property, clean rooms, fantastic breakfast/ food and service. Great views, despite being summer the place was very cool, conveniently located next to the town centre and close to the tiger reserves. Buffer zone safari was well worth.

Reviewed Apr 17, 2025This place is an absolute gem. If you’re visiting Mysore or Ooty make sure you factor in two nights to stay here & book safari drives to Mudamalai and Bandipur.
This hotel is a little oasis, all the rooms overlook the exquisite garden with the Nigiri Hills as the backdrop. Rooms have AC, a verandah with fan and lights and excellent WiFi.
The food was really good and the staff were so helpful. Special mention for Mansoor (manager), Aldrin (guest services) and Rada (local naturalist).
We had the best time. Three safari drives seeing a host of wildlife!!

Reviewed Feb 23, 2025Great 2 day stay. Within an hour of us getting there Mansoor had booked all our safaris and sorted out our onward travel to Mysore. All the staff were exceptional, Aldrin and Sathish served us all our fantastic breakfast and evening meals which were delicious.. we did 3 safaris 2 buffer zone safaris and 1 bandipur bus safari. The buffer zone safaris with the excellent radashanker were the highlight. And yes we did see a tiger on the evening buffer zone safari.

Reviewed Feb 12, 2025Stunning views of the Western Ghats and peaceful (except for the fact that renovation works we’re going on during our stay). Beautiful colourful garden.
The staff were exceptional (especially Aldrin). All were keen to ensure our stay was as comfortable and memorable as possible.
Breakfast was great - fresh fruit juice, fresh fruit, eggs, dosa’s, toast…..
Dinner in the restaurant was great too, good sized portions and reasonably priced.
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The private balcony overlooking the mountains was the “icing on the cake”.
Next to a mosque so hearing the morning call to prayer.

Reviewed Jan 8, 2025We loved this hotel. The garden is simply stunningly beautiful, beds comfortable, rooms spacious and clean, the staff were gorgeous. Breakfast has a good selection and other meals were good. They organised a safari with a local naturalist who gave us wonderful tours, much better than the government one. They went over and beyond getting me a refund from another hotel that has been closed by the government. The Nest Inn receptionist will be treasured in my memory for being honest, good and kind.

The room was nice and tidy as well and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The property was at the heart of Masinagudi. Definitely recommend!!

Reviewed Dec 17, 2024The staff were very welcoming and helpful particularly Aldrin who made sure we had all we needed in the hotel and always responded quickly when we asked for help. Radhakrishna, the manager, was very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the surrounding reserve and provided us with an excellent early morning guided tour. He went out of his way to ensure we had the best experience possible even running over time by an hour to maxmise our chances of encountering some of the more illusive larger mammals. The gardens at the hotel were so beautiful and peaceful and the perfect place to rest after the excitement.

Rooms are exactly as they appear is pictures. Food is also delicious. The managers at the resort were very much on their toes making sure that the guests enjoy their stay. Mudumalai tiger safari is very close to the resort. 10-15 mins by car
