Un endroit parfait, simple, propre, arrangé joliment avec une superbe cabane en hauteur, un restaurant et surtout un hôte incroyablement serviable et gentil, Nimal 🙏🏼 Il m'a emmené partout pour découvrir Nilaveli, j'ai vu des plages désertes sublimes, des points de vue magnifiques, des couchers de soleil et pleins de temples hindouistes tous plus beaux les uns que les autres. En plus de vous emmener partout où vous désirez, Nimal connait tout le monde et peut vous arranger toutes les activités que vous voulez faire ! Idem pour les repas, le rice and curry au crabe était juste magique et tout les petits déjeuners, repas et autre jus (mon préféré le coconut and lime 🤩) étaient goûteux. Ma chambre était équipée du ventilateur plafond, ce que je préfère à la clim. Elle était propre, grande avec pleins d'étagères pour poser ses affaires. Le jardin est agréable, LA CABANA est la pièce centrale où l'on peut jouer à des jeux, discuter, lire, écouter de la musique ou faire une petite sieste 😊 J'ai adoré gratouiller les 3 chiennes de la famille et le petit chat, observer les oiseaux dans les arbres et profiter de cet endroit calme et reposant. L'emplacement est à moins de 10 minutes de la plage et à 1 minute de la rue principale. Et le plus important dans tout ça, c'est la disponibilité et la gentillesse de Nimal, vous êtes reçus comme un membre de la famille. Ça se ressent d'ailleurs chez les gens que j'ai rencontrés là-bas qui étaient tous adorables 🥰 Good energy forever 🙏🏼❤️ Merci encore pour tout

Die Unterkunft ist sehr nah am Strand gelegen, hat alles was man braucht. Das Frühstück und Abendessen ist lecker, bei Bedarf kann man auch mittags bei Ihm essen. Nimal hat ein großes Herz und ist sehr hilfsbereit. Er hat viele Kontakte vermittelt, die auf der komplette Reise in Sri Lanka von Nutzen waren. Auch hier nur positive Erfahrungen! Außerdem bietet er auch mit seinem TukTuk Fahrten an. Der Service von Ihm und seinen Neffen ist sehr gut. Ich würde jederzeit wieder zu Nimal Nimal - vielen Dank für das zu Hause Gefühl bei dir und die schönen Gespräche.

Všeč mi je bil vrt in gostoljubnost.

Nastanitev je zelo osnovna, a čista. Prijeten vrt, a zopet zelo osnoven. Hrana zelo povprečna. Vse to se da prenesti, če bi bile cene prilagojene udobju, ki ga nudijo. Cene hrane in storitev za tak ambient in kvaliteto so veliko previsoke. Za enak denar lahko ješ v restavraciji na plaži boljšo hrano. Skratka potrebno se je odločiti ali veliko zaračunati in izboljšati ponudbo, ali nič vložiti in temu tudi prilagoditi ceno.

Nimal und seine Kollegen waren super freundlich und Hilfsbereit.

Nimal is a super host, he is always willing to go on an adventure or just to stay and talk over dinner. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. Nimal took us to see the lagune, and also, to our request, to an excelent tour in Ttincomali, to beautiful places that we would never find ourselves. My children felt very safe and loved the place and especialy Nimal. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, we had a shared bathroom and a good AC in our room.

No hot water (we learned to take a shower at noom time and it was fine)

Ik las zulke positieve recensies dat ik dacht hier moet ik naar toe! En inderdaad het klopt Nimal is uniek en die smile vergeet je nooit en je voelt je echt thuis bij hem!! Ik zou drie dagen maar ben zes dagen gebleven en eigenlijk had ik er nog wel een week willen blijven!

I had the best night's sleep at Nimal's! Quiet, comfortable & clean room. The beach at the end of the road (next to Divingguru) is much nicer & cleaner than the main Nilaweli beach a bit further north (walkable).

Slightly out of the centre of Nilaweli, but only a minor point.

Nimal and his brother were a great hosts, they cooked delicious food and the place was very relaxing.

Nimal is a perfect host. Incredibly friendly, and every need was catered for. Very helpful with everything we needed for our trip such as sourcing transport. So friendly - we had such a relaxing stay, just minutes from the beach too.

La maison de Nimal est absolument formidable, très jolie, spacieuse, très propre et on ne peut plus chaleureuse. Les photos ne lui rendent pas assez hommage. Plusieurs lieux permettent de passer du bon temps: la terrasse devant la maison, la cabane en hauteur et le restaurant. La cuisine est très bonne ! La maison est située dans un endroit très calme au Milieu des champs. La plage est accessible en moins de 5 minutes à pied ou en 1 minute avec ses vélos. De l’autre côté, la voie principale avec un atm et des commerces est à 2 minutes à pied. Nous sommes restés 3 jours et tout la famille a quitté cet endroit le cœur serré. Avec Nimal, tout est possible et réjouissant ! Meme conduire son tuk tuk. Mille mercis pour tout !!!

Turejom nuostabu laika keliaujant po Sri lanka. Jautemes lyg atvykę pas seimos nari, kuris taip rūpinosi mumis nuo pat paėmimo is kitos vietos. Nimalio namuose turejom viska ko reikia , maistas buvo labai skanus, ivairus vaisiai, sultys..... .Nimalis aprodė visas idomias ir grazias vietas. Vien tik geri prisiminimai. Rekomenduojam visiems!!!!

Nimal its a super kind host, super easy going, helpful and he had a lot of details expecting nothing in return. He also makes easy to go to Pigeon Island or to go to a lagoon to see the cocodriles. Food was very good I had dinner and breakfast and super tasty.

Room had bathroom outside but private, but talking with Nimal was a missubderstanding with booking. Room could be a little more renewed but its a homestay so its normal.

Absolutely lovely host, made me feel like at home. Perfect location, delicious food, all great! Thank you Nimal, until next time :))

We absolutely loved our stay with Nimal. Nimal was an amazing host, he went above and beyond to give us an authentic Sri Lankan experience. From local knowledge, traditional Sri Lankan meals, to taking us to local beaches, to see crocodiles and sunset on a beautiful lagoon. No tourists were around! We never would have gone to these local spots if it wasn’t for him! We will be back ❤️

Nimal‘s white House is a stunning place, specially because of Nimal. He has a heart of gold and makes everything possible. He even took me to see the wonderful landscape around Nilaveli and he left me drive the Tuk tuk at a place without traffic. The food is stunning as well prepared by his sister and nephew, I had breakfast and dinner most days here. I planned on staying four nights and ended up staying three weeks and only left because I needed to catch my flight back home. I felt very safe at my whole stay as a female solo traveller, Nimal takes very good care . Thank you!

J’ai passé 3 nuits dans le petit paradis de Nimal. Le logement est simple, parfait pour les voyageurs à petit budget à la recherche d’une guesthouse typique et sans chichis. Mais il ne faut pas s’attendre à une chambre d’hôtel de luxe ;) Le clou de cette guesthouse est bien sûr Nimal, avec son grand cœur et son envie de tout partager. Il aura toujours de super recommandations pour vous. Et la nourriture cuisinée par sa sœur est excellente, c’est une cuisine comme à la maison :) La plage est à 10mn à pied aussi, très pratique pour un petit bain matinal. Ce havre de paix me manque déjà !

Super Unterkunft. Nimal ist ein super Gasgeber und hat uns alles möglich gemacht. Das Highlight: unsere Kinder durften beim Sonnenuntergang an der Lagune Tuk Tuk fahren. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben!

We stayed 3 nights with two kids (8y/10y). Our kids loved the garden with hammock and coconuts. And Nimal loves kids (has 3 daughters). He showed our kids how to open coconuts, gave them tuktuk lessons, and they helped to cook in the kitchen. We ate every evening and morning at his place, as the food which his sister is creating is great and different every day - and she will prepare some special things to try if you want. One evening, the family and friends of Nimal dropped in, and we all celebrated his birthday. Also, on the other days, we often had long discussions with him about culture, family and life in general. Nimal is a local and very well connected: he organized the boat to Pigeon Island for a fair price and organized seats on an A/C bus to Sigiriya. I have not met any other location and person who is so open and heartful. We will keep this place as one of the best experiences in Sri Lanka!

Nimal est un hôte très sympathique qui a passé sa journée avec nous ! Il nous a permis de bénéficier de tarifs intéressants pour le snorekeling. Les plats de sont restaurants sont très bons… Nous sommes allés voir les crocodiles, conduit son Touktouk et tenté de voir un coucher de soleil dans le lagon, monnayant quelques roupies . Nous avons passé une journée extraordinaire !!

Very nice host – I felt very welcome during my stay. The breakfast was amazing, and the tour to Pigeon Island that Nimal arranged was fantastic. He also took me to watch the sunset by the lagoon and even let me drive his tuk-tuk, which was such a fun experience! When I couldn’t find accommodation for the next night, he cleared out a private room and kindly let me stay there. Truly generous and thoughtful – I really appreciated everything!

If you go to Nilaveli, go to Nimal's White House!! He is a great person and always there if you need him. He has a warm heart and is very funny. He took us to see crocodiles in the wild and to see the sunset at his favorite spot. Thank you for everything Nimal !!❤️ we will never forget you!

I initially booked for 2 nights, but I ended up staying for more than a week! I felt right at home thanks to the amazing Nimal and his warm welcome. The guesthouse is less than a 10-minute walk from the beach, surrounded by coconut, mango, and papaya trees… A little gem! Nimal took me to his favorite spots to enjoy the best this little village has to offer. The room and the house are very clean, and you can get delicious food and juices made with love at the café.

Nimal is the kindest human you will ever meet. His smile lights up the room, and he is creating a wonderful oasis here. Thank you Nimal for your being!! <3

It was really lovely staying at Nimal’s! He always took good care of us, provided us with a comfy A/C room and delicious breakfast. The house got everything you need, the sanitary was clean and we could use his kitchen too. We sometimes even cooked dinner together! Besides of his friendly and talkative way, he even got three dogs and one baby kitten, which are really the cutest. It’s only a 15 minutes walk to the beautiful, calm beach with some few restaurants. Nimal is happy to drive you around in his tuktuk, when needed or even to take you on some of his epic tours around the town, for example to the crocodile lake nearby. Really enjoyed our stay, thanks for everything Nimal - hopefully meeting again!

Nimal is an amazing person, supporting me in everything and made me feeling at home. The garden is beautiful with mangos and often you can see parrots. It's a nice,quiet, pet friendly place.

Thank you Nimal for a really lovely, comfortable stay with excellent hospitality. I really enjoyed my stay here and as a solo female traveller I felt very safe. Nimal took me to the beach and then to see crocodiles at a nearby lagoon which was an incredible experience. In the evening he invited me to join other guests for a fish BBQ which he hosted in the garden of the guesthouse. This was absolutely delicious. If I'm ever back in Sri Lanka, I will definitely book in here again. A hidden gem!

Nimals White House is just a little hidden treasure in the seas of Nilavelli. The guesthouse is no Hilton Hotel, but what it might lack in status, it makes up tenfold in charm, character, and atmosphere! Nimal is on point. From the moment I arrived, he took care of all of my needs. He offers a lagoon hike that is teaming with crocodiles, eagles, fish, and other wildlife. It was incredible to see. He also hosted a fish BBQ, which I was invited to join. His friend, Riz, a local diver/fisherman, arrived with some fresh fish from the night catch, proceeded to marinate it, and then they hand built a fire pit in the garden to roast! Myself and other guests were shocked at how these guys work and play! The accommodation, bathroom, and shared kitchen were spotless when I arrived. Working fridge, kettle, and all the utensils you might need! This place is a stones throw from the diving centre and the beach! I couldn't recommend this place enough! Thanks Nimal! See you when I come back!
