Excellent! Cozy, private and great service. The owners and staff were so kind and helpful. Pool was clean and lots of great areas for photos.

I can’t help but share about the best accommodation stay ever! From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, it was so wonderful that leaving felt almost impossible. Therese, Arman, and their amazing team welcomed us with such grace and kindness. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared, even the little things we didn’t know we needed were already taken care of. That level of attentiveness comes from genuine empathy and understanding, and it truly shows in the way they host. The house itself radiates warmth and comfort, but what makes it feel like home is the heart of the owners. We loved it so much that we even chose to celebrate my birthday there. They didn’t have to make it special, but they did; and that meant alot to me. I’ve never felt such a deep connection to a place before. With them, it wasn’t just a stay, it was a home away from home. 💛 Well recommended and I can’t wait to visit soon!!

Les propriétaires sont très gentils ainsi que tout le personnel. Un petit endroit de paradis au calme au milieu de la forêt. Nous y sommes allées pour quelques jours de repos et c'était parfait, nous avons bien pû profiter de la piscine la journée et le soir nous allions voir le couché de soleil au bord de la plage.

C'est un peu loin du centre de San Juan mais nous étions au courant et avec les trycicle on y est vite pour 200 à 250P

Everything, especially their attention to details, very impressive. We booked an overnight stay for our Anniversary celebration and I had a last minute request and they were kind enough to accommodate it. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly like we were also a part of their family. We very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again.

The attention to detail and the care that Therese, Arman, and the rest of the staff always go beyond my expectations. The place is made homey and warm by the little things that they think about to make your stay memorable. It’s like coming home to family after a long time away.

Hidden gem The property is in a quiet neighborhood close to a beautiful church and surrounded by nature. The sweet songbirds wakes you up gently and you can see butterflies and fritillaries amongst the flowers by the clean pool. I wish I had known this place sooner and booked my stay longer. Therese and Arman, the owners are very friendly and their staff are friendly and efficient. Maybe I’ll bring my daughter next time and spend more time exploring beautiful Bacnotan. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The property is located in a beautiful and quiet municipality. It is surrounded by trees which extends all the way up the mountain at the back of the property. The owner personally welcomed us, gave us a tour and introduced us to each of the staff on the property. There was music playing on a phonograph when we arrived. The place was CLEAN. The facilities new. We especially liked the mattresses and the pillows. One small touch that I appreciated was the placement of night lights in the room and in the CR.

It was raining when we arrived so we were unable to use the pool. But that’s the reality of travelling during the rainy season.

It was wonderful! I was surprised how beautiful the area was and how beautiful the people are! I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit San Juan and was close enough to San Fernando La Union!

Didn’t expect to be there during a typhoon but still had a good time!!

Therese is very pleasant and accommodating. She is a very passionate host/owner and she put a lot of thoughts on the designs, comfort and well-being of the guests. It is their private property but you will really feel at home and well taken care of - like when you visit your relatives in the province.

My parents had the room with the double bed and the AC was a slightly noisy for light sleeper like my mom.

Therese is very accommodating host, and made sure that we enjoy the most of experience in Bacnotan. I love the forest view of the room, and really quiet for us to enjoy the relaxing chirping of birds and the very green scenery around the property. The room is very nicely interior designed and well maintained. Love the room guide that provides collection of restaurants, places to visit and map that Therese has compiled.

I feel bad when Manang and Manong have to open the gate for us even at wee hours. Perhaps remote controlled gate opener may be an option

Amazing service and near the beach!

I liked how homey and warm it feels once we arrived at the location. The ambiance is a must place to have, away from the loud noise of the city life. Spending a quick get-away to this magneficent place was such an experience. The photos you see on their page totally agrees with what will welcome you once you're there (it totally exceeded my expectations!!!) It was just like visiting your favorite Tita and Tito in the province with how Ms. Therese and her husband accomodate us. The helpers were all nice, too! Such a tranquil and a much needed leisure time! I just hoped we could stay there longer. But we'll surely comeback with longer stays, ofcourse :)

During our brief stay in Bacnotan, La Union on the week of 5 March 2025, we were fortunate enough to find housing at BENEDICERE bed & breakfast From the moment we parked our car inside their housing lot up to the time we left a few days later, the hospitality and the personal attention of both Ms Theresa and her husband, Mr Armando and all their assistants has been beyond expectations Everything in that place is arranged with great attention to details and with a keen sense of practicality As such, you have a residence that’s fully functional, providing great comfort and utmost satisfaction The food is simply of 5 star standard or even better. The owners and staff put in a great deal of effort and were very accommodating. The home cooked meals were delicious, and the natural surroundings tranquil. The pool was also perfect for the very hot days. Simply put, It is the ideal place to relax and unwind for a few days.

The property was beautiful! Very unique home with lots of art work and vintage items. It was decorated well, clean, and well maintained. The room was super comfortable and the pool was met with a scenic background of trees. Therese, Arman and the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. A Bed & Breakfast stay that offers exceptional vacation experience.We came as a family of 6 plus 1 child. Mr. Arman and Mrs. Therese Martinez and all of the staff are very friendly and accomodating. Serene and quiet place to stay plus the rooms are clean, cozy and comfortable. Much like your home away from home. And the food they offer are superb especially the vigan longganisa, turon and leche flan😊. Parking space is for free. Will definitely come back.

Starting with the booking, the hosts promptly respond to your inquiries and the payment was seamless. Upon arrival, the hosts greeted us and guided us to the parking space. They also have allocated a space for us since there was another guest arriving on the same day. They toured us to the different areas of the compound, introduced us to their helps, and somewhat got acquainted with their dogs. Haha. They have a shelf full of books and nice reads also such as by Arthur Clarke and biographies of prominent people. There are paintings in the bedroom and living rooms. They also have a book narrating their story. It also contained the "must-see" of La Union and the eating places with their recommended foods! The pool was clean and the food was great! The vigan longganisa was my favorite. The place was peaceful and pristine and the hosts were accommodating and mindful of our needs. When checking out, there were no problems and they were very nice bidding us goodbye. Overall, it was a great stay and we will definitely consider Balai Benedicere when we visit La Union again in the future.

I think a hammock will be a nice addition at the pool area. Haha. And since the place was so beautiful, I was always afraid of hitting their things :)) Otherwise, a great place to stay at.

Family owned private resort with many details to comfort, service and quality. We were welcomed by the owner, Therese who did everything to ensure we are comfortable. It was a wonderful experience for a short stay at this beautiful place while heading north.

As a couple looking for a place that's quiet, close to nature, and to relax, Balai Benedicere not only met our expectations, but well exceeded them. It's definitely the best B&B we've stayed at in the Philippines, and one of the best stays overall on the islands for us. We came because we saw pictures on Google maps of beautiful trees. Imagine waking up and seeing the light shine through the branches, the birdsong accompanying the morning rays that have yet found its full strength. I did a short meditation by their beautiful pool observing the glow emanating from above, like an invitation to all that's good. It was a magical morning spent in near stillness, a bit of yoga, and a cooling off swim. The attention to detail of Therese and Arman's abode is exceptional. They gave great directions, thought ahead for their guests, kept signage in strategic places, and chose decor that showed they really cared about the sanctuary they shared. Therese, Arman, and their helpers were all very warm and helpful. Arman even shared some freshly made hummus, which was a delightful surprise. The rooms have everything you could possibly need. You get a free breakfast with coffee and tea. There's a record player singing some soulful tunes, checkers, a great book selection, a guitar, it's pet friendly, and the surrounding environment promotes peace and serenity. Take me back!!! It's not beach front, but it's a short drive away. It's not for parties or large groups either. Really, it felt like a get away. It was a retreat we'd recommend to anyone not seeking crowds, parties, bars, drinking but would appreciate silence, reflection, self-care, and interesting chats.

We couldn't control that our neighbors played music in the morning. You can also hear cars outside, but it's not too bad.

We had a wonderful experience, breakfast if great (special sugar from Ilocos sur is a must-try), exceptional hositality and we felt right at home. We wanted to spend more days in this tranquil home and we'll definitely come back.
