It was a delightful place to stay. Very quiet and charming old building. The room and bathroom were spotless. The bed was very comfortable. Our host was accommodating with our unexpected late arrival. The breakfast was excellent.

Très belle et grande ferme restaurée de façon très cool et sympathique. Une énorme cour et terrain permettant de nombreuses activités pour petits et grands. Accueil très sympa et communication rapide et efficace avec Rafael. Chambres basiques mais très propres. Sanitaires tout neufs et très propres. Les chambres étant sous les toits nous avons eu peur de la chaleur mais malgré la journée la plus torride de cet été, il faisait tout à fait correct dans la chambre bien isolée. Espace commun très bien équipé d’une cuisine, bouilloire etc.. Possibilité d’acheter des boissons, softs, vins, bieres et snacks à prix tout à fait raisonnable

l'accueil et la bienveillance car nous sommes venus le soir d'un terrible orage dans la région, certaines routes étaient inondées le soir, l'électricité avait sauté chez les voisins mais rien à redire sur l'accueil

Location was beautiful and idyllic. Owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was clean and neat. Place was calm and quiet, perfect for relaxing.😊

Public transport is not available close by, but if you don't mind light walking to reach Genappe center area it isn't too bad. 😄

Het boerderijtje is rustig gelegen (op de kerktoren na) en ademt volop de charme van het Waalse platteland. De omgeving voelt meteen ontspannend aan en nodigt uit om tot rust te komen. De tuin heeft heel wat troeven: een vuurschaal, gezellige zithoekjes en prachtige uitzichten. Ook aan kinderen is gedacht, met fietsjes en een pingpongtafel. Je huurt kamers in een bewoond boerderijtje, maar de bewoonster respecteert de privacy van haar gasten volledig. Daardoor voelt het verblijf persoonlijk en huiselijk aan, zonder dat je het gevoel hebt privacy te moeten inleveren. Je hebt dan ook een aparte ingang en ruimte volledig voor jezelf/ de gasten.

De matras was extreem hard. Mijn vriend had al na één nacht rugklachten. Daarnaast zijn de kamers slecht geïsoleerd. Op zich is dat voor mij niet meteen een groot probleem, maar in ons geval verbleven er andere gasten met een peuter in de aangrenzende kamer. Die huilde ons drie keer wakker tijdens de nacht. Doordat de kamers op elkaar aansluiten en vermoedelijk onvoldoende geluidsisolatie hebben, klonk het alsof de peuter naast ons in de kamer stond te krijsen. Wat bedoeld was als een rustige, opladende nacht tijdens onze doorreis, werd voor ons als kinderloos koppel een regelrechte nachtmerrie. Deze verblijfplaats is ideaal als alle kamers geboekt worden door mensen die elkaar kennen, zodat je weet wat je kan verwachten.

Très bon accueil, mr nous avait même fait un feu de cheminée pour notre retour pluvieux de soirée !

Très belle experience. Hôte aimable et efficace. Lieu propre et confortable. Nous y avons sejourné en famille avec deux enfants, et tout etait top. Merci!

Very quiet rural location.

It was our second time at the farm and as usual, we got a wonderful welcome by the hosts. We got to visit the animals who came for cuddles, and enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the property, as well as the playground for kids. The family is lovely and we really appreciate how much they care about their animals. We will be back soon - again - to this lovely place. Thanks a lot!

Les sanitaires communs sont un peu déroutants mais au final ça n'est pas vraiment gênant (les autres chambres n'étaient pas occupées).

Très belle ferme ancienne, rénovée tout en gardant son cachet, lit confortable, personnel au petit soin,petit déjeuner magnifique, cuisine et salle à manger grandiose, magnifique intérieur...à voir...

Les toilettes et douches étaient bien éloignées de la chambre...bizarre comme agencement

Het ontbijt was heel goed, wel basic, maar alles heel vers! Heel lekker brood, fruit van eigen boomgaard.

Bij het ontbijt moest je de eitjes zelf koken of bakken. De douches waren in een aparte ruimte die je moet delen met anderen, ook al heeft elke kamer zijn eigen douchecel. Qua privacy vond ik dit nogal lastig.

The room was simple yet super comfy, the whole place felt really nice and warm. We loved the location, the farm is beautiful ! Easy access to transportation to go to Genappe, Waterloo and Brussels. The communication was easy. We highly recommend this place for a short or prolonged stay.

It can be a little loud during the weekend days because the farm hosts children's birthday. But we heard little of it from the room.

Ein idealer Zwischenstopp, da Waterloo und Hergé-Museum gleich in der Nähe liegen und auch die Autobahnanbindung total unkompliziert ist. Das alte Gebäude wurde mit viel Liebe restauriert, es bietet herrlich viel Platz zum Entspannen. Die vielen Tiere, die vom Besitzer mit Liebe gepflegt werden, brachten uns Freude. Leckere Äpfel und frische Eier genossen wir zum Frühstück. Danke!

Das Frühstück ist vergleichsweise teuer. Aber vielleicht ist das aus Sicht der Einheimischen okay, denn wir kennen nicht die Preise (oder Inflation) in Belgien. Gemütlich war es trotzdem am alten Frühstückstisch mit Blick in den großen Hof.

We were enchanted by this very special property. Check in was very easy and we had some coffee in the morning that was great. The room was small but perfect for what we needed and we had a lovely time in the garden.

Everything was amazing!

We were constantly surprised by how cool this property was. We definitely want to come back with a bigger group and enjoy the courtyard and gardens more. The design is outstanding. The beds, bathroom, and all common areas were clean and very comfortable. We had an amazing time! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful and very welcoming!!! I would definitely recommend it! We came on Christmas Eve and we got greeted so nicely although we arrived late! A big yes!

The old building has it's soul that charmed us, everything was clean and organized. The host was very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our evenings sitting in the living room, eating pears from the garden or going to see animals.

The kitchen is big and you can eat your meals comfortably, however cooking is a bit harder, there is only small space for it and not many tools (like wooden spoons etc.)

The location is perfect, quiet and relaxed. The host is really kind and made us feel welcome. He took care of everything we needed. The farm has lots of very sweet and friendly animals, the host even gave us a tour and introduced us to all the animals, which we could visit whenever we wanted. Both the bed room and bathroom are comfortable, clean and consists of everything you need. Due to the local and fresh products we think the breakfast is worth it. Overall this was a great stay and we would highly recommend this place! Merci beaucoup pour votre hospitalité et ce beau séjour!

very friendly, flexible host, really nice location and farm with very sweet animals. you can pet them, very friendly. Room is small but comfortable and the bed is wonderful. Everything is potless clean.

The street coming from south (Haute Rue) is blocked by poles so the farm can't be reached by car. but quite easily reached from the other end of the street and another street just in front.

Nature and village atmosphere. Beautifull countryside. If you search for this and own your transportation it is excellent. All in all great place and staff.

If you plan to go to Bruxelles and don't have your own car or didn't take rent-a car it can be challanging. No direct bus line and taxi is awfully expensive.

I thought breakfast too expensive. Would have liked a cup of coffee or tea gratis. We had our own however did not know if we could use the dinning area . Did not ask so that was on us. Bathroom abit far from room. Better light for reading would have been nice. No soap at sink in room, had to ask.

Raphael is a wonderful host, the place was spotless and within a beautiful farm where you can see many animals, pet them etc. The room is small but comfortable, we were the only guests so didn't mind the shared facilities. Lovely place to stay in the countryside!

The Host ist super friendly and "walks the extra mile" We got an extensive private tour to the place and animals. Great place to stay with kids. The historic building itself is worth a visit.
