Sítio muito sossegado, pet friendly, empregados muito simpáticos e ambiente muito calmo

Natureza, os animais andavam sempre pela herdade, eu espaço muito tranquilo.

Acessos e parque de estacionamento podiam ter luzes.

I still day dream about my stay here, we regretted not staying there for longer. The entire stay was beautiful, the rooms are great and the pool is in great condition. The entire state is huge and it’s very much connected to nature, they have their own vegetable farms and free roaming horses, chickens, dogs and cats. They are also next to another farm and you could see the cows and sheep. It was such a relaxing stay and the restaurant was SO GOOD. The breakfast was great and the dinner even more (a bit on the expensive side but we loved it). I would like to also make a special mention to the staff, they were the warmest and nicest people ever. We had a problem with our car rental and they were so kind to us. The staff saved us by picking us up from the middle of the road after we were left stranded and they talked to the car rental on our behalf on the phone until a solution was found (Maria you are iconic, thank you again). I think it’s a great place for a family stay, the nature and animals around it makes it very dreamy. They also have a bunch of tress with fruits like lemons, pomegranates, etc. The decoration and design of the hotel rooms and common spaces (of which were many) was so cool and pretty. I want to go back to Alentejo just to stay there again.

The road to get there is quite rough since it is in the country side, make sure to drive slow and carefully.

O pequeno almoço muito bom. Jantamos no restaurante, legumes frescos e sazonais da própria herdade, a sobremesa, gostei especialmente do strudel de maçã.

As áreas comuns eram muito agradáveis.

O pequeno almoço não tinha variedade. O espaço exterior precisa de mais cuidado. A iluminação à noite não é suficiente.

Loved the farm to table menu, everything was delicious! And the staff were extremely friendly :) Great to be in nature, in such a beautiful setting.

El contraste de un lugar decorado con obras de arte , exquisitez, buen gusto. Ubicación en plena naturaleza, y la integración de los animales de la finca en las instalaciones. Una experiencia agradable, un mixto de buenas sensaciones.

El baño demasiado pequeño, con azuelos en negro , dan sensación de encajonamiento claustrofobia, Un mueble de baño roto y dañado por humedad.

Desde a calorosa receção proporcionada pela Maria ao ambiente tranquilo, toda a estadia foi óptima. Pequeno almoço muito bom.

Sugeria a colocação de redes mosquiteiras nas janelas e portas dos quartos, para que a partir do final da tarde a alternativa não seja fechar as portas.

La casa es muy acogedora, la piscina muy tranquila con hamacas con sombra más que suficientes y todo el espacio nos gustó mucho. El restaurante fue lo que más nos gustó, cenamos muy muy bien con productos de su huerta, buenísimo todo!!

Está un poco alejado, y se tiene que llegar a través de un camino de tierra. La habitación no me pareció la mejor calidad, el baño no tenía champú ni luz en la ducha… no estuvo mal pero para el precio imaginaba algo mejor.

We had a wonderful stay, completely immersed in nature, with horses, chickens, and friendly dogs roaming freely around the property, creating a truly relaxing and authentic countryside experience. The breakfast was marvellous, with fresh and delicious options that set the perfect tone for the day. The dinner setting was exquisite, and the food was simply fantastic, making every meal a memorable experience.

Hotel di carattere, massima tranquillità, ambienti molto curati, bellissimi quadri.

Strada di accesso non asfaltata. Ristorante buono ma lista fissa un po' limitata, anche se ogni giorno c'era un fuori lista.

Super Unterkunft in einer tollen Lage. Wirklich besonders! Und ein sehr leckeres Frühstück…

Natur pur! Für unser Kleinkind und uns war es ein Highlight dass die Pferde, Hühner, Katzen und Hunde auf der gesamten Anlage frei herum laufen. Für uns war es wie ein kleiner Traum mitten in der Natur. Trotzdem sehr modern und schöne Anlage! Das Personal war sehr Freundlich und kinderlieb. Der Weg dort hin ist wirklich abenteuerlich und man sollte ein passendes Auto dafür haben aber gestört hat es uns nicht. Hier kann man wirklich zur Ruhe kommen!

Nous avons passé un séjour absolument merveilleux à Herdade da Matinha. Tout était parfait. La propriété est magnifique, entourée d’une végétation luxuriante qui crée une atmosphère paisible et relaxante. Notre chambre était superbe, très confortable et parfaitement équipée. Nous avons adoré les animaux présents sur le domaine, un coup de cœur pour les chevaux, qui ajoutent beaucoup de charme à l’expérience, ainsi que le calme qui règne partout. Chaque membre de l’équipe a été accueillant, attentionné et d’une grande gentillesse. On se sent véritablement les bienvenus. Le petit-déjeuner était également très bien des produits frais, délicieux et de grande qualité, dans un cadre magnifique. Herdade da Matinha est un endroit où l’on ralentit, où l’on déconnecte complètement et où l’on profite pleinement de chaque instant. Un véritable coup de cœur que nous recommandons sans hésitation.

O pessoal é muito simpático e atencioso; o pequeno almoço é excelente; o espaço é ótimo para relaxar.

O acesso à Herdade não é para todas as viaturas; o caminho poderia estar mais bem mantido.

Small note is maybe better insulation to the hallway, but honestly it’s a small comment.

En primer lugar, destacar la atención recibida por parte de todos los trabajadores. La habitación estaba muy limpia, la cama muy grande y cómoda. El aire acondicionado funcionaba perfectamente. El entorno es una maravilla, se respira tranquilidad. Ver los caballos pasar por delante de tu terraza es increíble. Los desayunos...buenísimos y con mucha variedad. Contar con restaurante para las cenas en el mismo sitio es maravilloso. Si ademas le sumas que la comida está exquisita...no se puede pedir más!

Fantastic food and beverage experience - the breakfast was outstanding with lots of selection and the dinner we had was perfect. The location is very quiet and isolated - exactly what we were looking for.

A localização, a envolvente com a Serra, o sossego, ouvir os pássaros. Instalações muito acolhedoras, assim como os colaboradores.

Sossego. O sítio é incrível para descansar. Os animais super dóceis (cães e cavalos) trazem uma magia especial ao espaço. 3 piscinas que permitem que não exista muita lotação O pequeno almoço é maravilhoso

Algumas pequenas reparações tornariam os quartos ainda mais cómodos No meu quarto havia um barulho sempre presente durante a noite (talvez associado a algum motor ali perto) Poderia ter TV em algum espaço ou até mesmo no quarto

Het geheel is smaakvol en alles ademt rust uit. Het restaurant heeft geweldig eten en het zwembad heeft lekkere ligbedden. De bedden van Haestens en kussens zijn comfortabel. Er lopen paarden los op het terrein met als honden en poezen. Echt back to nature.

The relaxed vibe where families with small children felt at ease. The colourful creative interiors and the advantage of having a restaurant on site due to the isolated location. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The plastic poolside chairs were very dirty and the area surrounding the pool requires more cleaning .The lighting in the grounds at night could be brighter. The lunchtime menu of the restaurant was a repetition of the evening menu with no offer of simple salads or cold options. This was disappointing.

Echt een pareltje van een “boerderij” hotel net iets landinwaards tussen Porto Covo en Vila nova de Milfontes midden in de natuur een goede uitval basis voor mooie wandelingen in de regio. Goed eten bij een familie die hart heeft voor het vak. Goed eten en drinken een exhte aanrader.

Wir konnten ins Old House wechsel, dort war es sehr gemütlich. Sehr ruhig, wenig Leute, konnten unser Elektroauto dort aufladen

Frühstück: trockenes Brot, wenig Konfitürenauswahl Geht lange, bis warmes Wasser kommt! Holprige Zufahrt, zugewachsene Parkplätze, gut wäre eine Waschgelegenheit fürs Auto

The location is amazing. In the middle of nowhere, 2km from the main road. The food from the hotel was very good and very well cooked. Good breakfast, I’ve got nothing bad to say.

The smell from the bathroom wasn’t the greatest. It’s the only negative point. Maybe the drain was not the best but the smells were returning from the shower drain.

Wir haben uns von der ersten Sekunde an so wohl, willkommen und zuhause gefühlt und kommen definitiv wieder. Hier steht so viel Liebe im Detail und es fehlt einem an nichts. Das Essen und die Atmosphäre waren ein Traum. Danke für eure Gastfreundschaft und diese wunderbaren Tage.

I’m hesitant to write anything that might erode what still feels like a well-kept secret, but Herdade da Matinha is such a lovely and warm place to stay that it doesn’t feel right to keep it to oneself. It’s a beautiful property, at once remote and fully serviced, a charming hotel set amidst orchards and fields. It manages to feel both familial and professional, with a very high standard of hospitality. There’s a kind of luxury that comes from staying somewhere so integrated with nature, thoughtfully designed to let it in. It feels rustic and charming without compromising on convenience, comfort, or modernity. There are horses grazing among the trees as you have breakfast. Our four-year-old was so happy roaming the grounds, playing in the pool, relaxing on the deck, and doing the treasure hunt the staff had organized. It really is the perfect spot for families and couples looking for a quiet, comfortable base to explore the surrounding countryside and beaches. The food is very good, and the staff are genuinely lovely. This was our second family trip there, and as before, they took great care of us throughout our stay.

Nuestra estancia en Herdade da Matinha ha sido fantástica! Tanto el trato, como el entorno han sido perfectos. Si quieres descansar, sentirte como en casa lejos de tu ciudad, sin duda es tu sitio. Muchas gracias equipo Herdade da Matinha y enhorabuena por tener un sitio tan mágico.

Das Frühstück war fantastisch und hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Die Lage ist perfekt um abzuschalten und zur Ruhe zu kommen. Es hat sehr viel Platz und die liebevolle Einrichtung sowie das zuvorkommende Personal lässt einen sofort ankommen und länger bleiben wollen! Ich werde wieder kommen!

Gostei de todo o espaco da herdade. Espaco para descanso e para se abstrair da rotina da semana, com tranquilidade e contato com a natureza. Adorei a comida do restaurante, entre elas a mousse de chocolate que foi das melhores que ja provei.

Atendimento ao cliente. Foi a nossa primeira estadia na Herdade da Matinha e este contato foi o que na nossa opiniao falhou. Desde a rececao ate ao dia da saida. Nunca nos perguntaram, com excecao do pequeno almoco, se estava tudo bem ou se tinhamos gostado da estadia. Acho que este aspecto a Herdade devera ter mais atencao e trabalhar estas competencias com o seu staff. No entanto, e um lugar lindo e que vale a pena visitar!

The views are spectacular and hiking on the premises made it easy. Enjoyed sitting and taking in the beauty.

The room could benefit from some upgrades. The cost of a glass of wine was quite unexpectedly high for Portugal- the highest I paid in my three week visit.

The surroundings are beautiful and we can really enjoy being so close to the nature

Breakfasts were very good. Our one dinner at the restaurant was not so good, but this may just be our unfamiliarity with Portugal food.

The road in could use a little grading. And there could be better signage.

Viel zu abgelegen / Anfahrt Schotter weg und staubig Kaum Komfort ! Zimmer /Bad brauchen Renovierung Essen sehr dürftig Total unbeleuchtet um ans Hotel zu kommen . Ankunft am Abend nur mit Taschenlampe zu empfehlen ! Alles Kiesel Wege oder Gras !! Mag romantisch klingen ist aber schwierig zu meistern

de tudo em geral, principalmente e ainda não me saiu da memoria os excelentes pêssegos, assim como o tomate um sabor inesquecivel.

O acesso á piscina sempre reservado com toalhas ...um bocadinho aborrecido.

O local é muito bonito e agradável. Da nossa parte pessoal gostámos mais dos quartos mais pequenos e antigos da herdade . Não gostámos da nova tipologia de quartos que nos foi atribuído, são mais recentes, no entanto não se enquadram com o conceito rural e típico , além de serem grandes e frios, de referir que fomos em janeiro. No entanto, foram impecáveis e trocaram prontamente de quarto para junto à casa principal e ficámos muito contentes pois esses ficam dentro do conceito rural da herdade. Os colaboradores muito simpáticos e profissionais sem serem muito formais , o que se enquadra muito bem neste tipo de alojamento.

This was our favorite place in Portugal. We stayed two days and I plan to come back. The atmosphere just made me breathe deeper. Everything is so beautiful yet comfortable. I immediately felt at home. The fireplaces. The cozy nooks to sit and read a book. The nature all around. The wonderful restaurant. It was just perfect

Nun, die Zufahrt ist nicht so toll, aber das ist eben so.

A Herdade é linda. Ficamos num quarto com uma cama enorme, muito confortável. A Casa de banho é muito moderna. A pia fica no quarto, a sanita é separada do duche. Tudo novo e bem cuidado. Estávamos no outono e as cores das arvores vermelhas, muito bonito. Passarinhos por todo lado.

Dependendo do seu quarto, fazem deixar o carro em um parking ao que deves acessar por uma estrada de terra em condições muito ruins. Sendo que eles tem uma estrada de asfalto que chega até perto isto não faz sentido.

The property is truly beautiful, surrounded by greenery and cared for with great love and attention. You can really feel the passion of the owners in every detail. We spent two very pleasant and relaxing days here. The restaurant is excellent as well: high-quality food and carefully prepared dishes. The staff is kind and welcoming. We highly recommend this place!

Le service personnalisé et à taille humaine, l'environnement de l'hôtel, la gentillesse du personnel et des propriétaires qui prennent le temps de discuter avec vous, le confort de la chambre, la qualité des massages, les belles œuvres d'art du propriétaire exposées un peu partout :-)

Rien du tout. Par contre il est bon de savoir que l'hôtel étant au milieu de la nature, l'accès se fait pas une route en terre battue avec quelques nids de poule sur une distance d'env. 3 km. Le soir, le chemin n'est pas éclairé (le prix à payer pour la tranquillité) :-D. Néanmoins, le chemin est très bien signalé, cela ne m'a pas dérangé mais c'est bien d'avoir une voiture qui tient la route ^^
