Beautiful view , confortable appartment, can go swim directly from the building

Balcony was nice, beach front.

Ants everywhere in the room, and on the last night there was a rat in the room ( 4th floor) so it must have always been there, when I went to speak with the owner this answer was “ you seen the rat now me” and shut his door on me. So we packed up and left and didn’t stay the last night. I wouldn’t recommend because if there is a problem you will have no help he doesn’t care.

The Host was very friendly and accommodating. They adjusted to our needs as much as possible. It was very clean and well-prepared.

Kein Restaurant in der Nähe. Nächstes empfehlenswerte Restaurant " Farmer" ca. 40 Min. Mit mini Cab. Entfernt. Küche fehlt es an Equipment und Dingen wie Öl und Gewürzen zum Selbstkochen.

Water from the pipe is salty. There is a water dispenser though, with hot and cold water.

We had such an amazing stay at Lydia's House in Samal! The place is clean, peaceful, and very comfortable. The view is absolutely breathtaking, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. We really enjoyed our stay, and everything made us feel at home. Thank you for the wonderful experience. I love almost everything during our stay at Lydia’s house.

I love the solar power, and i-recommend to increase the battery/system backup/capacity in case of frequent power outages to supply all floors the same time. Need to change the water source for shower and washing.

An absolutely perfect room and location with stunning views and a terrace with direct access to the ocean. The room was clean, spacious and well facilitated. Staff were amazing and all thought there are cooking facilities in the room as we didn't want to cook the staff provided a local restaurant that served amazing food.

amazing view, huge apartment, helpful and friendly host. I hope to return as soon as possible.

The location is perfect. We love that it is really next to the beach.

The sofa bed were bad. We weren’t able to sleep well and have a backache. There two comfy beds though but since were like 3 couples we were given the sofa bed. Also the bathroom smells bad and it was all over the room.

The place was spacious. The view from the balcony was beautiful seeing Talikod Island and Davao. You can just go to the ground floor to take a dip in the sea and buy fish from the fishermen in the ground floor of the house and cook them at once. If I go back to Samal as a group again I would stay there .

Mooi uitzicht, modern en koel en direct aan zee. Dichtbij winkels, ook 7/11 en foodkraampjes en openbare strand (tegen betaling).

De advertentie stelt dat er een volledige keuken is maar er zijn geen pannen om te koken. Men moet beneden in de gezamenlijke keuken koken. In de buurt zijn geen echte restaurants maar genoeg winkels en food kraampjes waar je eten kunt kopen. Hou rekening mee dat door de stromingen de zee helaas niet altijd schoon is om te zwemmen. We wachten meestal tegen de middag met zwemmen.

We stayed at the 4th floor -everything was great!

The views was amazing from the main bedroom and the space for our teenage boys. The boys enjoyed the connivence of stepping into the water from our rooms, so no crowds. This unplanned side trip made our Davao trip worth it.

My wife and I were woken by the loud music at 3am that broke our sleep. Also wished we knew that a bus was available to get to place from Davao City, we paid a lot for a van from the port. But on the way back we caught the bus and saved us some money.

The location is very nice you have the water right in front of you

There’s a horrible smell coming out of the bathrooms and the rooms smell like toilet. There’s no soap or toilet paper as well. The blankets are very thin and have a weird smell too.

Fantastic, well equipped apartment with modern furnishings and beautiful views from the balcony. The communal area is great for cooking and relaxing - we had this to ourselves so spent most of our time here. The private access to the small beach area is great and there are shallow waters which are perfect for snorkelling and swimming, even if you have beginners. The staff were also really helpful and made our stay very enjoyable.

The lift is a little temperamental but the staff fixed it and the stairs are not hard to climb.

THINGS WE LIKED IN THE PROPERTY : 1. BEACH FRONT LOCATION WAS EXCELLENT. OUR DAUGHTER REALLY HAD A GOOD TIME FROM THE TIME WE ARRIVED ALL THE WAY TILL MORNING. 2. THERE IS A COFFEE SHOP BESIDE THE FLAT/APARTMENT AND SMALL STORES ARE CONVENIENT IN THE AREA AND THE KAPUTIAN BEACH RESORT IS LESS THAN 5 MINS WALK. 3. THE COMMUNAL ARE IS MASSIVE AND GOOD BUT I WONDER WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE ARE OTHER GUESTS WHO WOULD LIKE TO USE THE COMMUNAL AREA TOO? AS THEY DON'T WAN'T VISITORS IN YOUR AIRBNB APARTMENT/FLAT. THINGS THAT WE DID NOT LIKE ON THE PROPERTY : 1. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO COOK OR USE YOUR OWN KITCHEN IN THE AIRBNB APARTMENT PROPERTY THAT YOU HAVE BOOKED AND PAID FOR. - THEY REQUIRE YOU TO USE THE COMMUNAL KITCHEN DOWNSTAIRS (ON THE GROUND FLOOR) INSTEAD AS THEY SAID, THE PROPERTY IS RUN THROUGH A SOLAR PANEL AND IT CANNOT CONTAIN TOO MUCH USE OF ELECTRICITY WHICH WE HAVE EXPERIENCED BLACK OUT TWICE ON OUR OVERNIGHT STAY. 2. NO GUESTS ALLOWED TO COME IN. - I HAD TO HAVE A PROPER CHAT WITH THE RECEPTIONIST/LANDLADY THAT THE PEOPLE VISITING ARE MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS WHO HAD COME FROM ANOTHER TOWN AND CITY AND THEY SAID NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO VISIT AS PER THEIR AIRBNB RULES. - ANYWAY, SHE ALLOWED US EVENTUALLY AFTER CAREFULLY EXPLAINING TO THEM THAT THEY WOULD BE LEAVING SOON ANYWAY AFTER TRAVELLING FROM AFAR TO SEE US. 3. BLACK OUT WAS EXPERIENCED ON OUR STAY TWICE. IT'S DIFFICULT TO MOVE AROUND WHEN THERE'S NO ELECTRICITY - THEY SAID THEY ARE BEING RUN BY SOLAR PANEL SO THEY REQUEST IF WE COULD ONLY USE ONE AIRCONDITIONING UNIT FOR THE WHOLE LIVING ROOM (AND TO AVOID THE REST IN THE BEDROOM) IF POSSIBLE. - THIS IS RIDICULOUS ESP. IF YOU ARE A PAYING GUEST!!! 4. WE BOOKED 9 PEOPLE ON OUR STAY BUT THEY ONLY HAVE 2 DOUBLE BEDS AND 3 SINGLE BEDS (WHICH ARE SMALL SINGLE SOFA BEDS).

The facility is modern with classy furniture, kitchen and family hall is very spacious all throughout the balcony equipped with byfold tinted glass doors. The view of the sea and the next island is stunning due to the tinted glass windows and walling 180 degrees from the inside. I can recommend Lydia's House absolutely 100 percent to all my friends.

I like everything in the facility.

Water is not abundant and you have to run the pump. The location is far from the ferry.
