Ned's Cottage

A delightful cottage in a beautiful setting and everything provided for a cosy stay there

We simply adored everything about our stay in Ned's Cottage. The location is divine - private, away from other people and with gorgeous views - but still close to all the services you might need. The cottage itself has every convenience you will need, including a well equipped kitchen and a wood heater that was already set up and burning when we arrived - fabulous! So welcoming, as are the lovely hosts, Breda and Joe, who communicated perfectly, informatively, helpfully, and with genuine warmth and sincerity. The rooms are spacious and the layout of the home is perfect, but most of all it feels like a home - happy, friendly, and safe. It is so lovely - we wished that we lived there full time!

There is nothing conceivable that could be improved.

All we can say is WOW!!!! Neds Cottage is absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. We loved every aspect of been there from the spacious house, the beautiful views, the tranquility of the place & of course the beautiful Highland cows right beside us. Breda was an exceptional host, lovely to deal with & her husband Joe even brought us to see the Coos up close which was amazing. The cottage has all mod cons, the most comfortable beds, kitchen was equipped fantastically & it just felt so homely. We will definitely be back but for longer this time. If you love beautiful scenery, peace & quiet & access to amazing beaches this is the place for you.

Jo et Breda sont des hôtes extrêmement sympathiques. Leur maison est le petit nid parfait pour partir en balade dans le Donegal et jouit d'un calme absolu. Il y a tout ce dont on peut avoir besoin et deux cheminées pour réchauffer les soirées. D'ailleurs merci à Breda et Jo d'avoir allumé un petit feu pour notre arrivée. C'était si agréable de rentrer dans une maison chaude.

Neds cottage is beautiful-couldnt have had a nicer short stay IN Donegal. Breda had the stoves on for us on arrival which was the best welcome on a cold day. The cottage is decorated fabulously and great central location for all the beaches and Leo's and Bonners. Lots of parking also as we were a group of old work colleagues coming from different places. Hope to be back. . Thanks Breda.

Great place to stay with family. The cottage has all the necessary amenities. Despite currently living in a decent house, our kids were asking to stay in the cottage for longer! It was truly a time to remember. Scenic views of the lake and Mount Errigal. Friendly hosts and a cozy cottage. Thank you, Breda!

What a beautiful cottage. So quaint. Lovely welcome with fire lit and milk in the fridge. No shortage of logs for tge stove.☺️We had a perfect chilled comfortable stay. Thankyou Breda. ☺️

The lane in is a bit rough and the cattle grid was very loud. (small criticism)

Lovely old cottage with a modern new extension. Comfortable and had everything we needed. Well stocked kitchen. Close to beaches, pubs, and coastal walks. Helpful friendly hosts.

A fantastic cottage with all the facilities you'll need. Spotlessly clean, and located in a quiet and peaceful rural location. Ideal for exploring this beautiful part of County Donegal. The owner, Breda, was superb; a lovely message before our arrival, and the most pleasant telephone call shortly after our arrival just to check if everything was OK...it was!

Everything! It was the most beautiful and cosy house to spend our few days, just wish it could have been a longer stay. Next time for sure. Just 5 minutes from the airport and the most stunning beach, absolutely breathtaking.

Everything about the property was perfect, located in a beautiful place. The house was beautiful and immaculate. Breda was very accommodating. The house had every facility needed for our stay and the beds were comfortable. We all loved our time there and will definitely be back

It was a beautiful cosy cottage, ideal for a romantic getaway from the kids. Breda the owner was so sweet and had two beautiful fires lit for our arrival.

We are so lucky to have found a hidden gem in one of the most scenic places in Ireland. Just a stones throw from two fabulous beaches and 5 minutes drive from Donegal airport. The views from the house were breath taking over looking Mullaghdubh lake and towards Errigal mountain. The cottage has everything you need. It has maintained its old world charm but has all the modern luxury’s you’d expect now a days. Two wood burning fires in the kitchen and sitting room were an added treat. It’s a quiet and sequitur spot for families. We will certainly be back and would recommend Ned’s cottage to young and old. The host Breda was so friendly and gave us lots of suggestions for local activities/restaurants/attractions.
