Apartment ..i was booking for a Hotel not Apartment

Cleanliness and friendly staff.

The bathroom gets wet and slippery because the shower is not secured. Also breakfast situation was not clear as to how one orders.

The check in process was very smooth and efficient. I did like the bed, which was very comfortable, and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Breakfast. Firstly, it was chaotic and very limited. The breakfast did not even close meet the expectations one had from a luxury location. There were only scrambled eggs for one person, the fresh eggs didn’t arrive in the time we were waiting. Cutlery was a problem. Coffee wasn’t fresh. The breakfast hall was so loud that the experience was unpleasant. The picnic was overly expensive for a very underwhelming experience.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel, and the hospitality was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, valued, and genuinely cared for by the warm and attentive staff. I enjoyed the Spa treatment by the friendly Charmaine, she was awesome.! What made my stay even more special was the thoughtful birthday surprises by Suzan, i really appreciate!! Every little detail was beautifully arranged and made me feel celebrated and appreciated. It was such a lovely and memorable experience, and I am incredibly grateful to the entire team for making my birthday so special. The hotel is beautiful, the service is outstanding, and the attention to detail is unmatched. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay filled with comfort, warmth, and exceptional hospitality. I will definitely be coming back!

Really great, friendly and helpful staff who provided excellent service and really made us feel welcome. Nice and comfortable accommodation which is well maintained.

The shortage of food and beverage items on the menu, and very limited choices. Many of the items on the menu were not available, and limited wine selection. My wife who is vegetarian battled to find items to satisfy her requirements, however the staff did go out their way to accommodate her and saved the day for Pont de Val otherwise it would have been a very unpleasant four nights away, especially on the first night!

Service needs a lot of improvement. Staff are clearly poorly trained across the board - reception, restaurant, house keeping.

Every about the place was stunning, venue , outside view , activities and the staff was so friendly like we knew them for a long time

Honestly nothing, everything was well organised

It was peaceful and purebliss. The food at the restaurant was amazing

The bathroom was a disaster. The shower was open plan with no doors, to restrain the water. The entire bathroom gets messed with water, which runs into the bedroom, creating a mess. Everything else besides for the bathroom was fine.

Everything in the room was exceptional. The decor, bedding, the room was warm and cozy.

We liked the candlelit dinner that my husband booked for my birthday. We also went wine & canepe tasting, that was also amazing. Boat cruise on my birthday was fun and we played our own music. The facilities were clean, staff is friendly, they assisted with all my birthday request and I shared my birthday cake with them too lol.

The bed was very comfortable. We had 2 great nights sleep. Nice to have an aircon in the room. The view from the room is very nice. Overlooking the river. Buffet breakfast was tasty. Depresso's coffee was delicious (Coffee house on site)

Needing to go to the main hotel for breakfast with the main restaurant being a few steps away was silly. Sad that we only got instant Nescafe coffee for the price we pay. The restaurant in general is really pricey. On Saturday we waited over an hour just to be told our food was ready 30 min ago. They did remake the food but it was not great overall. Due to an event - we ended up being placed outside (no table setting) even with a reservation. And the waiters did not attend to the "outside" people as much- aka forgetting to bring out our order There was no one at the village reception on checkout.

The room exceeded expectation. It was clean, comfortable, and absolutely stunning. Breakfast was good. The staff all around the estate and facilities was friendly, warm and accommodating

The drive through the gravel road route towards the hotel was uncomfortable, not sure whether it's gravel or potholes. And it's stretches for a few kilometers The signage throughout the estate is not accurate. It took us having to call the hotel to get directions to the restaurant area from the hotel.

The fact that the main restaurant is closed and we were not informed. The breakfast at the Bistro was of poor quality and limited in options for non meat eaters. The service was poor and the menu options for dinner was limited with most items not available

The fact that we must check in at 15:00 is unacceptable and not fair. We come from afar and to still have to wait for 15;00 check in is not customer centric. Other hotels allow a 14;00 check in and this is something management must reconsider. The breakfast is also limited for the price we pay, something they to work on.

THE VILLA IS BEAUTIFUL AND SO IS THE VIEW.

HAD TO PHONE TO CLEAN BRAAI AREA AND VILLA. STAFF WERE NOT VERY HELPFUL NO WOOD AVAILABLE AT BRAAI AREA OR ON PROPERTY.

The room was neat but it was not the room I reserved. Just had to move because of a big booking. We were not welcome - 2 of us.

The service was poor. From reception to breakfast next morning. The overall look is neglect and not clean.

The location and surroundings are great! It is good for emergency purposes (as it was in our case) and if you would like to spend most time outdoors to utilise the facilities otherwise, not as appealing

The room was too small especially the bathroom/shower space. They played music very early on Saturday morning which was not as relaxing. They should try and make breakfast start time earlier than 8am

The breakfast was good. The two ladies assisting at breakfast were very friendly & made us feel more welcome. The reception staff especially Suzan were also excellent.

The fact that the village reception opens @ 09h00. The restaurant staff are rude. Other staff members seems to know nothing about almost everything, you ask them questions, they don't have answers. Management must orientate the staff & insist that they staff value the guests.

Breakfast was good even though having an option on eggs would really do the trick as we dont all like medium scrambled eggs which was the only option..

The restaurant had a number of things out of stock.

There was a lot of things to do in the premises so we didn’t have to go out for anything The beds are so comfortable 😍

The room I got needed ALOT of maintenance to be done. For the money, that room was too small An upgrade to the hotel breakfast made can be made

Rooms looks much bigger than they are. Extremely expensive for what you get with absolutely no view. Can seriously bring down your rates.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved the surrounding and the ambiance outside.

They gave me a room that looked totally different to the pictures on booking.com. The room was small and did not even have a microwave as was displayed when I booked. The breakfast was also not worth the money as on the first day it was not a buffet. We had to order from the menu and we were allowed to only order one thing. The spa moved from where it was to a new house and the facilities there are definitely not for a spa. It was not value for money at all.
