We had a wonderful stay at Annabells B&B and couldn’t recommend it more highly. The accommodation is beautiful, peaceful, extremely comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. Everything is prepared with so much care and attention, and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious. What makes Annabells truly special, however, is Beverley. She is an exceptionally warm-hearted and caring host who makes you feel at home from the very first moment. We had so many lovely conversations with her throughout our stay and never felt like we were simply guests passing through. We are also very grateful for all her recommendations for exploring Whitianga and the Coromandel Peninsula. Thanks to her, we discovered beautiful places we might otherwise have missed and felt that we experienced not only the sights, but also a little bit of the real New Zealand. Annabells deserves the highest rating in every respect, but it is Beverley and the warmth she brings to this place that make it so memorable. We were very sad to leave and would come back without hesitation. Thank you for everything, Beverley! ❤️

The host Beverley was fantastic! She greeted us when we drove up, showed us our very large and comfortable room and then invited us to have a glass of wine with her. Just like we were old friends! The view from her place was amazing and the grounds are so beautiful. She thinks of everything for us travelers. We wished we had stayed longer!

Our stay at Annabell's B&B was amazing. Our host, Beverley, was warm and friendly. She gave us some great tips on places to see and things to do, and made reservations for us for local restaurants and activities. You must go and see the beaches at Otama Bay and Opito Bay; they are within minutes of Annabell's. Also, the Cathedral Cove Scenic Cruise, which went right from the Wharf in Whitianga, was spectacular. Our room was lovely - comfortable, clean, and spacious; and the custom cooked breakfasts were delicious. The property was set among native rainforest and had stunning views over the bay, and lots of places to sit and relax and enjoy the birds.

Wir hätten uns kein schöneres B&B nach einer anstrengenden und langen Anreise nach Neuseeland wünschen können. Beverly hat uns herzlich in Empfang genommen, mit Tipps zur Umgebung und Restaurants versorgt, und auch das Frühstück ließ keinen Wunsch offen. Die Lage in einem tropischen Garten trägt zur Erholung und Entspannung bei. Unsere Suite war bestens ausgestattet, sehr stylisch und makellos sauber. Wir können Annabells B&B wärmstens empfehlen!

La maison et le jardin sont magnifiques. La chambre est très bien pensée avec tout ce dont nous pourrions avoir besoin, c’est très cosy et très confortable, la literie est top. Beverley est adorable, nous sommes immédiatement tombés amoureux de la nouvelle Zelande et de ses habitants! Elle nous a très bien conseillé pour la visite des alentours et son petit déjeuner délicieux. Elle s’est même adaptée à mon regime special sans gluten et sans lactose. Merci Beverley, nous aurions tellement aimé rester avec vous 😭

Nette Gastgeberin, ruhige Lage mit tollem Ausblick, riesiges Apartment. Sehr gutes, frisch zubereitetes Frühstück. Mein bester Stopp auf der langen Reise durch Australien/Neuseeland.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Beverly empfangen und erhielten einen Rundgang durch den schön angelegten Garten mit toller Aussicht aufs Meer. Das Frühstück konnte jeden Tag neu gewählt werden, es war sehr lecker, für jeden Geschmack war etwas dabei, u.a. mit viel frischem Obst, Adcocado aber auch Rührei… Beverly gab uns tolle Tipps für Ausflüge und Lokale am Abend!

Bev is a very helpful friendly host, she gave great recommendations for food and things to do. Accommodation is great, Bev has the unit stocked with beautiful hand soaps, shampoos, conditioner and hand creams. Plenty of towels / bath robes. Self contained unit with everything you need - plenty of parking space.

The location isn't walking distance to town as its up a big hill but we knew this in advance.

Quiet, comfortable, private space, beautifully appointed and very well equipped. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful.

We both really enjoyed our stay and the accomodation is really beautiful. The location is perfect and the breakfast was really good. Beverly is a wonderful host and she even gave some tips for visiting Karangahake Gorge along the way towards Rotorua, which we visited and loved it. We only stayed for one night but the Coromandel area is really beautiful and it’s more than worth it to stay here for a couple of days

Annabells B&B was very homey and the host was lovely.

Wunderschönes Haus, ruhig und mitten in der Natur gelegen – perfekt zum Abschalten. Die Gastgeberin ist außergewöhnlich herzlich und freundlich, führt gerne Gespräche und ist ehrlich interessiert am Wohl ihrer Gäste. Sie hat uns bei der Planung unterstützt und sogar für uns im Restaurant angerufen, wofür wir uns nochmals herzlich bedanken. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und konnte individuell zusammengestellt werden. Ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt, den wir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen können! Danke!

Leider im Zimmer auf den Erdgeschoss schmeckt es mufflig. Es hat einen Luftentfeuchter den wir selber jede 3-4 Stunden entleert haben. Die Besitzerin weisst Bescheid und sucht Lösungen. Wir haben es für 1 Nacht ok gefunden aber hätten wegen der Luft und Geruch leider nicht länger bleiben wollen. Wenn das nicht wäre, ist eine tollen Ort mit super Gastfreundschaft

Um das Apartment liegt ein liebevoll angelegter Garten oder besser ein kleiner Wald. Absolute Ruhe und naturnah aber doch ein zentraler Ausgangspunkt . Auch besondere Tipps zur Umgebung, traumhafte fast einsame Strände gab es von Beverly .Das Frühstück ist komplett nach Wunsch zubereitet. Beverly unterstütz in allen Situationen und gab uns ein Gefühl das sich wie Familie anfühlt. Absolut Empfehlenswert.

Really enjoyed our stay. The rainforest setting was lovely and quiet and our unit was equipped with everything we needed. Wonderful hospitality from Beverley, she obviously loves her role as host. Our unit was clean bright and airy. We particularly liked the separate lounge area. Thanks also for providing washing machine and dryer so we could catch up on our washing.

The moment we walked in, we were hit with a strong, musty smell of mold. It was so intense that my partner’s asthma was immediately triggered. Staying overnight was simply not an option. Adding to the concern, there was a dehumidifier running in the room, which showed over 80% humidity — a clear indication that the host was aware of moisture or mold issues. Some previous reviews mention this issue too. To make matters worse, we heard an animal scratching inside the wall, which only increased our discomfort.

We enjoyed a wonderful 1-night stay at Annabells B&B and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Coromandel / Whitianga area. The property is situated on a hill about a 5-minute drive from the beach. It had a beautiful view of the bay from the upstairs level where the owner, Beverley, lives. We occupied the downstairs apartment which was roomy and had a large bathroom. It was nice and comfortable, although the room was damp and the dehumidifier was on the whole time. Beverley was a great, easy-going host. She provided a lovely hot breakfast in the morning with fruits, toast, jams, yoghurt, eggs, bacon and mushrooms. At breakfast, we met the other couple staying at the property and exchanged stories about life and travel, which was a positive addition to our trip through New Zealand. We highly recommend Annabells B&B!

The cooked breakfast was tailored to each of us, was very plentiful with good variety. Beverley was very engaging and helpful in every way. We had fun at breakfast times! The location was beautiful, in amongst the trees; looking at the ocean, listening to the birds. Very restful.

We spent four days at Annabells B&B in February 2025 and were delighted! Beverly is an exceptional host - warm and welcoming, she gives great tips and makes a delicious breakfast. We felt very comfortable!

Location was excellent. Host Bev was very friendly and accommodating, The place was immaculately neat today with many facilities available in pizza oven,/ BBQ, great selection of teas etc.

Location was quiet and peaceful with lovely gardens. Beverley is a very warm and hospitable host. The breakfast that she cooked us to order each morning were wonderful and a great start to get your on your day.

It’s not a complaint but there was a faint mustiness in the room. Having said that you must take into account that the property is surrounded by trees and it’s not a hot zone. I had no trouble sleeping or enjoying the stay.

Our stay at Annabells B&B was great. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we felt welcomed. Staying here is more like staying with a friend or family member than staying at a traditional motel/hotel. Our host, Beverley, treated us as if she had known us for ages. She cooked us an excellent breakfast each morning and offered suggestions on where to go that day. Our bedroom was comfortable and the facilities were great. Overall, if you are looking for a place to stay while travelling that offers more than a simple room, Annabells B&B is an excellent choice.

A very spacious living area and comfortable bedroom up in the hills, overlooking the water from a distance. You're surrounded by amazing 'Coromandel Green' in every direction. A private getaway for sure, placed away from any road traffic and as peaceful as it gets!

I wouldn't recommend walking up and down the hill to get there! It's a steep hike.

Beverley literally thought of everything! The surroundings were beautiful and the spa bath was the perfect way to unwind. We also really appreciated the amazing breakfast that included bacon and eggs!

Had some issues getting the bbq going but the host was kind enough to let us use their kitchen so an easy fix.

Even though we only had a single overnight stay at Annabells B&B, we must say it’s on our top ten experiences of what we have had during our 6 weeks vacation in New Zealand. The unit was fine and cozy, and located surrounded by big trees giving you a feeling that you are in the middle of a rain forest. The hosts were great and happy for sharing information on what to see. We can only give our best recommendations.

Just because of my previous bed and breakfast experience the description of breakfast at this place doesn’t actually match the breakfast standards but still cool.

Very warm and welcoming hospitality by both David and Beverly. Yummy breakfast with bread, meat, eggs, fruits, juices and yoghurt. All rooms were clean and smelled fresh everywhere. Had great fun time at spa tub. Beautiful big backyard with path takes to view point but unfortunately couldn’t do that with our 2 little kids. Will definitely refer my family and friends as its best and affordable place to stay.

A sign displayed outside the property could’ve been better. But that’s not a big deal as maps takes you to the right spot anyways.

The breakfast was fabulous - a splendid selection of fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast, bacon & eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, tea and coffee. One of the best breakfast's we've had at a B&B.

Everything was exceptional. The only aspect of our stay that did not exceed our expectations was the rustic nature of the tap fittings, however, the shower was still great.

We had a very enjoyable stay. Beverley and David made us feel very welcome. The natural vegetation surrounding the house was alive with native bird life and the trails currently being installed will only make it better for bird enthusiasts. The glow-worms down the hill were also a nice surprise.

Plenty of options for breakfast provided. Roomy unit with lounge and chairs, and outdoor table and chairs. Queen bed and rate it 7.5/10 for comfort.

FANTASTIC Stay ! We come across this accommodation but I would say I love everything in this accommodation with fully amenities including queen size bed, food, tv with streaming program, beautiful bathroom and so on. There is splendid sea view from upstairs balcony. Moreover, you will be taken care by the owners of the house, they are extremely kind and friendly. PS. We love her products amenities especially, shampoo and conditioner. They provided a variety of tea selection. We would love to stay longer nex time Viki and Ink
