The Alam Bungalow & Restaurant

This place is amazing!! If you go to Tetebatu you need to stay here! The people that run the hotel are super kind and helpful if you want to organize any transport or trips around the area. The hotel itself is perfect to experience the real local Lombok, with direct views to the rice fields from your room. The breakfast is also very good and the cabins are super confortable!

Le personnel est au top, on se souviendra de celle merveilleuse équipe, toujours présent et avec le sourire. Les logements sont parfaitement propres et confortables. Les activités sont nombreuses et très bien organisées avec des membres de l’équipe. La vue est à coupé le souffle, je recommande vivement ce logement

V 5:00 nás vzbudilo modlení, mešita 🕌 je naproti pres kopec, slyšet to je hodně, určitě vemte špunty do uší.

Les équipements sont bien, la salle de bain est moderne et l’endroit est décontractant et calme (sauf lors des appel à la prière qui durent de 18h à 23h le vendredi) PS : Merci à Eka pour son accueil et sa gentillesse !

Le Check in était à mais la chambre n’était prête qu’à 15h, le gérant insiste beaucoup à nous vendre son walking tour alors qu’en réalité toutes les activités que ce soir là Monkey Forest, les cascades et les rizières sont tout à fait faisables sans guides.

We stayed two nights in a Budget Double Bungalow and loved it! Everything was brand new, clean and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We had so much fun doing the cooking class with them ! We’re French, and it was so nice that they are learning French too. We highly recommend this place and would happily come back! This is not the hotel’s fault at all, but it’s good to be aware of the surroundings before booking. The hotel is located in a lively area with several mosques nearby, so you can hear the calls to prayer quite clearly, including early in the morning. If you’re a light sleeper, this may make it difficult to get a full night’s sleep. There is also a school nearby, so the area can be quite lively during the morning.

Super! Het personeel is hartstikke vriendelijk, je kunt een leuke wandeltour volgen vanuit de accommodatie met een top gids! Daarnaast is de kook workshop ook aan te raden om je echt in de keuken van Lombok duikt! We hebben enorm genoten van deze fijne plek, goed eten en een leuk huisje!

Vista dalla stanza fenomenale, cibo del ristorante ottimo e a buon prezzo, e corso sulla preparazione del caffè e dell'olio di cocco esperienza bellissima. Staff di una cordialità unica, dei ragazzi veramente fantastici. L'unica nota negativa è che abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte e non di più.

Ons huisje had een mooi uitzicht over de rijstvelden, Het is wat eenvoudig maar het was er netjes en schoon. De medewerkers doen allemaal hun best om het naar je zin te maken. Het restaurant serveert lekker eten tegen betaalbare prijzen. We kunnen het zeker aanraden.

We've 3 wonderful days at the Alam Bungalows. The location could not have been any better. It was perfect to explore Tetabatu, the rice fields, local waterfalls and the Monkey Forest. The accommodation was well appointed and provided greats over the rice fields and of the sunrises. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean. The onside restaurant had a great choice of reasonably priced, and fresh food. We watched my papaya being picked off the tree, before been cooked for my curry. The staff were friendly and attentive, special shout for Daniel and Udin. The staff organised two trips for us, one local 4 hour walking tour, and another to the waterfalls at the Geo-park. We would thoroughly recommend the Alam Bungalow to anyone visiting the Tetabatu area.

The food was great, the organised cooking class was really fun, the view is exceptional, the staff was friendly and like one big family, they also helped us with trips and tours and transport to out next destination

After talking to the local guides we feel we overpaid some tours, just based on the amount of money the tour guides themselves got

Hadden niet perse gekozen voor een budget kamer bij het boeken (of niet gezien) maar was alsnog een prima kamer!

We had an amazing stay at The Alam. Mainly because of the super nice and hospitable staff and the amazing views from the room. Also the private walking tour was perfect: beautiful surroundings and the guide could tell us all about it. We also loved the food and had all of our meals at the restaurant.

Todo! Era precioso, tanto la habitación como el resto del alojamiento. Todo impoluto de limpio, nos dieron te al llegar, teniamos botellas de agua… muchos detalles. 10/10

Notre séjour de 3 nuits a été parfait. La vue est magnifique, la chambre propre et avec tout le nécessaire. Le gros point fort est le personnel très accueillant. Relaxing and peaceful place. Comfortable room with stunning view on rice fields. Amazing staff and nice restaurant, my girlfriend can eat only gluten free food and they were so good to satisfy us. Very recommended!

Une vue exceptionnelle depuis notre petit bungalow. Nous avons fait le walking tour (monkey forest, ricefield et cascade), c'était vraiment top, je recommande pour bien profiter du lieu.,

Prenotate la camera matrimoniale deluxe, immersa nelle risaie e con vista sul monte Rinjani: uno spettacolo! Essendo immersa nelle risaie, c’è la possibilità di fare tantissime passeggiate a piedi partendo proprio dalla struttura. Colazione buonissima e staff super accogliente e disponibile, ci hanno aiutato a noleggiare lo scooter e il trasferimento con taxi per la nostra prossima destinazione. Lo consiglio tantissimo!

L’acqua in bagno per la doccia aveva poca pressione e non era proprio caldissima

Nous n'avons passé qu'une seule nuit dans cet établissement mais elle restera gravée dans nos souvenirs. L'emplacement est magique, au milieu des rizières et face au mont Rijani. Le bungalow était très agréable et la literie hyper confortable. Le personnel est d'une gentillesse incroyable, souriant et heureux de nous être agréable. Je recommande à 100%.

Het personeel is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam! We voelden ons erg welkom. Ze denken heel fijn mee en zijn erg leuk met de kinderen. Voor ons en voor onze drie kinderen was dit de favoriet van vier weken vakantie! Prachtig uitzicht, familie huis is ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. Erg leuk om de wandeling te doen, de kookworkshop was geweldig leuk voor ons allemaal en ook de villagetour erg de moeite waard. Ik kan Alam absoluut aanraden en zou zeker de activiteiten daar ondernemen!

Beautiful place in the tetebatu valley. Great staff looked after us - arranging local guides to see black langurs, coconut oil and coffee processing on site, transport etc. good range of food in the restaurant. Lovely view from the rooms. Felt like part of the village.

Las vistas de la habitación a los arrozales insuperables!!! El personal super super atento, con una sonrisa de oreja a oreja. Lo mejor!!! La cabañita era muy acogedora. Chicken curry lo mejor d lo mejor!!!

Nos toco la cabaña que tenía el lavabo abajo. Y justo la cabaña que estaba al lado del restaurante, asique si bajabas por la noche en pijama al lavabo estabas a vista de alguna que otra persona. Y a demas si te despiertas a media noche para hacer pis pues tienes que salir al exterior bajar y es un poco drama las escaleras tan pequeñitas. Si te cuesta dormir con ruido o te pones tapones o todos los ruidos externos te molestaran ya que no se aisla el ruido en absoluto. Pero aun asi lo hemos encontrado encantador.

Had an amazing time here with my friend, we did the tour with Pendi and that was 10/10 he was so lovely and knowledgeable we just had a great time! We also did the cooking class and organised transport through Daniel who was a superb host! Would highly recommend this place for a truly peaceful and local experience!

The room was very spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! The hot shower after hiking Rinjani was amazing! The staff was very kind and helpful, I could rent a scooter and book a car to go to my next destination.

Ligging is prachtig. Ik denk by far het mooiste van alle andere hotelletjes in het dorp. Staf van het hotel heel aardig en fijn. Ook komen veel wandelgroepen naar het restaurant op te eten. Ook als ze niet in het hotel verblijven. Voor het uitzicht, en ook wel Voor het eten.

Wij hadden twee huisjes. 1 was heel ruim (familiekamer) de ander wat krap. Konden de koffers op de kamer niet open neerleggen. Gelukkig wel een naar verhouding hele grote badkamer waar de koffers dan wel weer open konden liggen zonder dat ze nat konden worden van het douchen.

De ligging is fantastisch in de natuur! Personeel is zo vriendelijk vooral Eka en Daniel. Fantastische customer service

Als je koffiedrinker bent is er voor 0800 niets te vinden. Is geen kritiek op de accomodatie. De mensen werken hard en lang en hebben enorme zorg voor eten en drinken.

Es war alles super. Toller Ausblick. Die Walking Tour ist sehr zu empfehlen und auch wenn man nur 100 m vom Hotel weiterläuft sind tolle Reisterassen. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage aber einen Ventilator, aber aufgrund der etwas kühleren Temperaturen braucht man eigentlich nachts weder noch. Beim Essen sollte man stets zwei Gerichte bestellen, da eins viel zu klein ist. Dasselbe gilt auch beim Frühstück.

La struttura si trova in mezzo ai campi di riso, dalla camera abbiamo potuto godere di una vista meravigliosa, ci si sente completamente immersi nella natura. Abbiamo anche pranzato e cenato presso la struttura, il cibo ci ha pienamente soddisfatti.

Nous avons adoré l'emplacement dans les rizières, à proximité de la forêt des singes. La vue sur celles-ci et le Rinjani était spectaculaire. Le personnel était très accueillant et gentil. Le logement était propre et bien équipé.

Le service au restaurant était lent mais c'est aussi lié au fait qu'ils préparent tout à la minute et que le choix du menu est vaste. On est un peu à l'écart du village et il est donc plus difficile de s'y rendre le soir

Emplacement parfait, au calme dans les rizières avec une belle vue et à proximité des waterfalls, des rice fileds et de la monkey forest. Proposition d'activités sur place. Logements très simples mais très propres. Tout est fait pour que vous ne manquiez de rien. Équipe très sympathique et prévenante. Merci à l'équipe entière de cuisine pour la cooking class et pour leur gentillesse ainsi que les délicieux plats locaux proposés à la carte. Merci à Udin pour la journée d'excursion.

Le bungalow était magnifique, nous avons passé un merveilleux moment et la vue est très belle. Le restaurant est délicieux. Le guide Suedi était super et nous a proposé des sorties à notre image.

Wir wollten eigentlich nur 3 Tage im Alam Bungalow bleiben aber aufgrund von Planänderungen entschieden wir uns 5 Tage zu bleiben. Es war einfach zu schön hier! Die direkte Aussicht auf die Reisfelder, Sonnenaufgang und die Rinjani Aussicht war jeden Morgen spektakulär. Das Bungalow ist familiengeführt, es gibt ein hauseigenes Restaurant mit Lombok Spezialitäten aber auch sehr guten Pancakes Wir haben jeden Tag dort gegessen, weil es lecker war. Daher gab es keinen Grund woanders hinzugehen, da es kulinarisch genug zum ausprobieren gab. Das inkludierte Frühstück war auch super lecker. Der Staff ist super lieb und hilft bei Touren sowie Transport zum nächsten Spot. Wir haben vor beim nächsten Mal wieder hierher zukommen, wenn es wieder nach Tetebatu geht :)

The service was excellent and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable time. It was lovely family run accommodation and restaurant. The food was first class and it was easy to organise activities and transport.

It was difficult to get my father-in-law to leave he enjoy his stay so much.

Le lieu et son emplacement accès direct au rizières, proche de la cascade et de la monkey forest. La qualité de l hébergement et son environnement direct surplombant des rizières et un jardin naturel exceptionnel. Le rapport qualité prix.

La présence des mosquées La mauvaise qualité du petit déjeuner. Nous avons attendu plus de 45 minutes pour 3 omelettes et 2 cafés. Le forcing de la propriétaire pour vendre ses prestations de leçons de cuisines et autres. Cela nous a mis mal à l’aise. Nous sommes restés 3 nuits et aucun personnel n’a fait notre chambre ni même proposé de le faire.

AMAZING LOCATION (the sunrise view on the rice fields is sensational), very close to the rice fields, the hosts are very nice, breakfast is always prepared fresh, and I even tried some food for dinner… absolutely delicious and vegan friendly !!! There’s no air con but you really don’t need it because evenings are very cool due to the altitude ! 🫶🏻 I would say even to bring a jacket !😄

Not the fault of the homestay but a lot of friendly insects and animals even in the rooms :) had slugs, geckos, mice, ants… harmless and completely makes sense due to the location! I think also it depends on your bungalow ! Some of them look newer so maybe less of an issue there :) but yes, FYI, lots of friends 🌱🪲 If you drive a car : the road to get there is very rough, but not the fault of the homestay of course! Just a heads up :)

Great communication when my flight was rescheduled four hours later and driver checking in with me to make sure smooth meet up. Lovely family feel. Runs on island time so don't forget to slow down. The Alam arranged all my tours. Saw two types of monkey in the forest. Big walk to take in the rice paddies. I even volunteered to help the ladies plant rice on our walk around, so fun.Stop off at the snack shack then off to the waterfall. In the afternoon I did the big 4 waterfall tour and after spent time learning to weave. I cried the first sunset because the beauty of the area is so special with Rinjani in the background. No mosquitoes! Even with so much water rushing down the mountain everywhere. Very friendly and helpful.

Most lovely friendly staff. Such a nice family owned place, such a welcoming and friendly group of people. The view from the room is so so beautiful. It is incredible the value for money in this place, so cheap for the amazing and fancy bungalow you get. Also amazing food would recommend eating there. They can organise great walking tours and waterfall trips for you. We loved our stay!!!!

The bungalow we stayed in could use some work. There were rats in the roof and we saw them come into in the bathroom and the room. The bathroom light wasn’t working and wifi was inconsistent.

Servirebbe forse qualche luce in più in stanza, ma particolarmente all'esterno perché la sera è piuttosto buio per rientrare (stanza nr.6). Wifi in camera non sempre ottimo.

Het was echt fantastisch. Alles was goed. Wij kwamen onvoorbereid aan in Tetebatu en ze hebben ons geholpen met alles: een tour, de hike. De kamers waren fantastisch en ook het restaurant was heeeeerlijk. En wat een lieve mensen werken daar. Als je naar Tetebatu gaat, zeker hier verblijven!! 10/10

Unfortunately some mice in the ceilings, not a problem if you aren’t a light sleeper like my self! The call to prayer is very loud, again not a problem if you sleep well.

Everything, but especially the food cooked by Lana 😍 The family that runs the place is amazing and always made sure everything’s perfect and that there’s no problem with the bungalow. What made the stay even better was that you could watch the prettiest sunrise while laying in bed. There also many activities organised, like walking, hiking or waterfall tours.

The bungalow was minimalistic but had a great sunrise view. Overall good value for money. We took a cooking class with the owner Fuji who is lovely. She showed us how to cook the dishes we wanted with only whole ingredients and the result was very tasty.

An amazing view, worth every dollar. We will never forget the experience and thanks to the team who made it so memorable. Special thank you to Daniel for always having a smile on his face when helping us and making us laugh, and to Semi for being the “president of tetebatu” his driving skills are exceptional and unmatched. My daughter was entertained by the kittens also thanks so much for a wonderful trip !

Everything was good!

THE VIEWS! What a beautiful location this is. In the middle of the rice fields and forest. Everything shows that the Alam team puts their heart in making the surroundings look so special. We had the honor of being the first guests to stay in the brand new deluxe bungalow. Waking up watching the sunrise over Rinjani Vulcano from the bed. Nice deck to enjoy the views from. Very good (and warm!) shower. Truely a great experience! 10/10 They arranged a pick up from Bangsal pier where we stopped at waterfalls (Benang kelambu) on the way to Tete Batu. 10/10 We also did the walking tour with the best guide ever. He took us deep into the rice fields, walking the narrow strips in between. Really cool experience. Our guide explained so much. Great way to learn and see how the village works. 10/10 Cooking class in their own kitchen was really fun. 10/10 And last: Very little mosquitos and a bit cooler temp compared to Gili Air.

Didn’t bother us but keep in mind that there are 1000 mosques and a school close by so that is a big part of the soundscapes.

Le Bungalow est propre et confortable avec une salle de bain spatieuse et très propre elle aussi. La vue est incroyable. Le restaurant est très bon et raisonnable au niveau des prix. Le personnel est adorable, on se croirait à la maison. La localisation est juste parfaite parce qu’on peut faire beaucoup de chose à pied.

The location is beautiful! The view..! The staff is incredibly nice.

Some of the bungalows have a fan. In the first night it was a bit warm. We had to sleep with the door open. On the second night it was really nice. Don’t forget your earplugs as the call to prayer is a bit loud starting at 4.30 (I think)

Amazing value for money and the staff are all really really kind. Very nice if you are looking for somewhere secluded and off grid. Staff are willing make pretty much anything for you and even pick some things fresh from the garden! They have a few activities you can do for a good price. After our tour, we spent most of our time just relaxing in the restaurant looking at the view, the kittens kept us entertained. - Kiera & Love

Für ein Aufenthalt in Tetebatu vielleicht mit der Beste Ort zum übernachten. Sowohl die Hausherren als auch Danil von der Rezeption haben uns sehr familiär aufgenommen und super behandelt. Wir haben viel geredet und gelacht, obwohl wir nur 2 Tage (1 Nacht) gebucht haben. Preis-Leistung war ebenfalls unschlagbar. Vielleicht sieht man sich eines Tages noch einmal. Yas.
