The hide away

The whole experience staying at the hide away was a relaxed pleasure. From being welcomed with an open fire on arrival to the views and peace and quiet of area and a wonderful local town with everything I needed including a mobile fishmonger couldn’t ask for anything more and will definitely be staying again.

There was nothing to dislike.

They had lit the fire before we came so it was lovely and warm for our arrival

The bed was very hard , and crack a window at night as it was roasting...

The Hideaway is so cost and welcoming and Ciara is the perfect host, ready to go the extra mile. We couldn't think of a better place to spend the night of Storm Amy, in front of a lot fire when the electricity went out.

Location ideal as a base for touring around

La propreté du logement est à revoir : poussière, toiles d’araignées, grille pain rouillé et rempli de miettes…

Open plan living near the N56. Accomodation clean, equipped for basic meals. Very quiet. Comfortable bed Perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring the beautiful area. Ciara, perfect host friendly with helpful advice even showed us the ringfort behind accommodation. Would definitely return.

Air fryer would be helpful.

What a charming place, with also a beatific fire !

It was very clean and cozy! It had a good amount of basics and essentials for the shower and also for making a nice cup of tea!

It was a beautiful little cabin, very clean and Ciara was a lovely host who was very easy to contact with any enquiries.

The house with kitchen, living/sleeproom and bathroom.

Arround the house was not any comfortabel please to relax outside.

It was great and will rebook for next year to go to see my son at the Gaeltacht again

The kitchen was a good size and had everything u cud need and the shower room was as expected.

It was very cold when we arrived . There was an electric heater and a stove which when lit was quite cosy. It was advertised as having a large double bed so we were very disappointed to discover it was actually a sofa bed with 4 mattress covers instead of an actual mattress ( not comfortable) . We also felt the bedroom/ dining area was quite cluttered .

Very welcoming place to stay. Ciara is such a lovely host, easy communication and the fire place was lit when we arrived. There's everything you need! Probably one of the best stays while touring for more than 2 weeks through Ireland! Thanks sooo much!

The fire was lit when we arrived! It was cozy and had everything we needed. Ciara, our host, checked in to see if we needed anything - very kind! We were close to town easy access to good food - highly recommend the Thatch!

It’s a really snug little hide away. Everything set for a short stay with a little log burner to keep you warm.

It’s perfect if you just want a bed to rest in after a day walking and exploring. Just big enough for 2 and you can cook if you want to. Small but snug. All set up and clean.

It's absolutely lovely and a cosy place, well worth money, excellent location, place itself separated from main house, private little house with all kitchen supplies, very spacious. Fire place is a great bonus, kept place tosty warm.

Ciara was a fabulous host. The place was beautiful and cosy. We will definitely be back
