Ahmed's House

Calm and clean

far from an kind of shops or markets

Beautiful view from both bedrooms. Comfortable and spacious. Clean and neat

No microwave oven. Have to arrange transport or uber to get anywhere. The accommodation itself was good but I may not have chosen it if I had known its proximity to shops, food outlets and city centre

apartment itself is good, relatively clean, kitchen knife is quite funny. and son of the AHMED is a good kid

ARROGANT NASTY AHMED WAS TRYING TO SELL HIS EXPENSIVE TOURS, AND THEN PLAYING A LITTLE GIRL AFTER WE SAID THAT WE ALREADY VISITED EVERYTHING

We had a wonderful time at Ahmed's house, away from the hustle and bustle of Luxor, just below the Valley of the Queens. Ahmed welcomed us with tea and showed us around his family and the area. Thank you for giving us a glimpse into their lives! He and his son were always helpful, helping us book a hot air balloon ride at a good price (even when it was cancelled due to bad weather), a transfer to Aswan and taking us to the best local shops and restaurants, and were always available to help us out if we wanted to go somewhere and take care of us. We really enjoyed their hospitality and hope to come back again! The apartment is well equipped, pleasantly cool and the breakfast was simple but wonderful.

The Toilet is tricky

We stayed at this lovely house in Luxor and really enjoyed the experience. It’s a bit isolated, but that’s exactly what makes it special, peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful nature. Ahmad and his family were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They made us feel at home, not only that, Ahmad drove us everywhere we needed to go in his car and gave us tips on the places we should visit. It felt more like staying with family than just booking a place. If you’re looking for a calm spot with real hospitality, this is the one.

Location was excellent

A little bit noisy at times

Very nice and calming views. Close to the valley of kings .

I booked a two bedroom apartment and I received a one bedroom which was half the size. I didn’t end up saying anything because we were only there 3 nights. But they never mentioned it either . I felt quite cheated. Internet was so bad that I had to use my hotspot. You are really not close to anything so you are at the mercy of the host and his workers. There’s no Uber or Talabat or anything in Luxor so That means you have to rely on them for everything from food to transportation. And if you are a foreigner in Egypt you know they will squeeze you for money. We couldn’t really wait to get out of there to be honest.

Excellent West Bank location, very nice friendly people and delicious food.

owners were very welcoming and friendly, the room was lovely, comfortable and had everything we needed. it was very close to the valley of the kings and the nile so we didn’t have to travel far. we had a really good stay here highly recommended!

the plugs were a little bit high off the ground but this wasn’t an issue

This is my first stay at the west bank, Luxor but it won't be the last time, especially in this great guest house. The house was simple, quiet, and clean. The host "Ahmed" is very kind, helpful, and professional. He helped us book a balloon ride at a good price. The accommodation is a country house where you can enjoy the countryside life and enjoy fresh air and nature. It is also close to Habu temple and Memnon statues, and a few miles to the Vally of Kings and the Vally of Queens. You can feel as if you are at home.

It just lacks a cupboard and hangs for clothes.

This was the best stay in Egypt - if I could give it 100 stars I would. The whole neighborhood will welcome you with open arms - you will be staying in a lovely apartment overlooking the Valley of the queens - every morning dozens of hot air balloons fill the sky and some are so close that you can even talk to the riders! Its walking distance to Habu temple and the restaurants nearby. Ahmed also organised us to fly in the balloons for a great price! He is also an awesome driver with an immaculate vehicle if you need a driver for a longer trip - (HURHGADA, ASWAN, anywhere!). Cant say enough great things about our stay and I know 100% that we will return.

This place was perfect.

Calm suroundings, very warm welcome, all necesary equipment even in the kitchen, friendly kids who played fotball with ours on the street, good dinner - a really nice surprise and more then wort the price. Thank you for the unforgetable stay!

Only the matress is a bit too soft if you have back problems, all the rest is great.

We received a warm welcome from Ahmed and family. The flat is tidy and spacious, located in a calm and authentic neighbourhood. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace and the nice view of the kings' valley at sunrise.

Nice view from the balconies. Quiet neighborhood. Spacious, clean, well stocked. Pillows and mattresses are okay, but not great. The family offers homemade meals which I would highly recommend. The artwork being mounted to the wall with visible tape is a little jarring.

We had a great time at Mr. Ahmed's house. Breakfast and dinner were varied, plentiful and very tasty. Mr. Ahmed's terse and a hardworking person, who focuses on the essentials. When we arrived I was worried if the rental car was safe enough out on the street. Then seeing how nice people live on this street and how much respect they have for Mr. Ahmed, all my worries went away. Then we drove from Luxor to Abu Simbel and I asked for his advice on the road. Every word he said was true. He also helped us arrange a hot air balloon trip and we found it to be cheaper than advertised on the official website. His children were respectful and polite. "A tree is known by its fruit." This showed me that they are getting a good education from their parents. In short, the whole family was decent people. Mr. Ahmed also honored us by showing us his homestead and introducing us to his parents, thus, in addition to the obligatory courtesy, he also gave deep friendly gestures. We say many thanks for the unforgettable days. God bless him and his entire family! Ps. Photos On the farm View of the Valley of the Queens from the roof of Ahmed's house Dinner

Nice house, very kind family, delicious meals on the roof, great view on the desert, perfect organisation for the visit of the west bank

Wifi connexion problems

Really wonderful egyptian breakfast - and a lot of it!

I LOVE THE VIEW to the mountains and the contryside from the biggest balkony by the bedroom
