The location was amazing
The 2 single beds were not that comfortable
Fabulous size great historical house loads of character
Would have loved some out door seating
Great location, lovely house, hosts went out of their way to help when we had some medical issues
Brilliant place to stay. Lovely views. Fantastic restaurant 400 yds away
Having to leave
The location is fantastic and the house is very nice.
Unfortunate, disappointing and unnecessary dialogue with the host. No hot water the day of check in or the next morning. Literally ice-cold showers for our family of five. The following day power went out and the refrigerator, wifi and thermostats for hot water did not reset. We needed to call the host at 9:30 pm. While he did respond quickly, upon his arrival he downplayed the lack of hot water and stated that we should have called earlier. When trying to shower at 7 AM to leave by 8 AM (not knowing that water was ice cold) when should we have called, much less how would that help? Host was unsympathetic stating that he was resetting the timers for thermostat and we should have hot water in the morning. No response when we asked why hot water is limited to a timer?? He then asked if we still needed hot water for the evening??? Long story short, the host has hot water thermostat set on timers. If the power goes out or you need hot water outside of timer settings - No Hot Water! Truley sorry as most of our ratings have been 9+, however limiting hot water, confrontational response is not what was expected.
Location, local veg box, local pub/fantastic seafood, scenic area, lovely beaches,
Grand, historic house that was restored and used as a home recently enough that it is a great rental but still needs some work to make it truly grand - the stairway is wonderful. Location on Flaggy Shores is beautiful but an hour from centre city Galway, and the site is beautiful. Beds are good; kitchen is fine. Very quiet, private, peaceful, a gem of a place that's almost perfect.
Insufficient hot water for even a quick shower; furniture in the large sitting room is torn and very outdated (blue, shag rug for example), could use some attention to the cleaning (not terrible but sticky counters, small bathroom needs attention, etc). We will use it again in the future.
The home was just beautiful and in a perfect location. It was such a whimsical experience to stay in a home with so much history, and it was comfortable, spacious, and well maintained. The beach was just minutes away, and we were close to The Burren and the cliffs, so it was a perfect home base. The family that owns the property is so friendly and kind and they checked in to make sure we were doing well and shared local recommendations. It was a wonderful visit!
Everything was perfect!
Great property for myself and my family . Lovely location with beautiful sea views. Short distance to great local restaurant. Highly recommended

Farm house style with stone or tiled flooring and creaking floorboards upstairs will please some but not others. Large kitchen with family sized table and large fridge freezer. Dishwasher and gas cooking facilities. Fireplace in living room and quality TV. Downstairs WC useful and two bathrooms. Free parking. Nice welcome by owner.
Some of our party found it too noisy at night. The washing machine has not worked since before our visit which cost us 24 euro at alternate laundry 10 kms away.
It was quiet, rural and absolutely wonderful. Just what we wanted - a cottage in the countryside of Ireland far away from traffic and crowds. Now we know that there is a wonderful vegetable stand down the road. Derek gave us tips on where to go. We thoroughly enjoyed the huge house. It was also nice walking to the beach. Linanne’s Lobster Bar was phenomenal.
Jerry was so nice! He told us all about the area and had great recommendations. The house was really cool- very spacious and had everything we needed for a fantastic stay!

Beautiful house at a wonderful location. Close to the sea and the pub! Very friendly hosts. Everything you need is in the house. From the house you can explore many sites. We hope to return someday!
Κοντά στο Galway και στο Clifs of moher.
Beautiful historic house , friendly & helpful owner
Washer broken, some kitchenware needs replacing
Superb location - 50m to the ocean, 10 mins walk to local (very nice ) restaurant. Quiet, big kitchen with dinning room, comfortable living room. 2 full bathrooms + additionally WC, equipped with all you need for vacation stay. pari=king in the yard. Super helpful owner (Derek). Not far from Cliffs of Moher - 45 mins drive. Shop in town - 10 mins drive. Comfortable for 6 people to stay.
It is just my opinion - did not influenced our good time there :-) The furnitures and how the house is set up - it's a kind of mix of old (wooden nice stuff) and cheap IKEA parts. As the house is really old it would be great to equip it with things which fit ... But as I said - me personal opinion.
Loved the look, atmosphere and location. Large , comfortable house close to the sea. Derik and Diane were so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this property.
Loved everything. It could so with bread knife and a peeler.
House itself was gorgeous and comfortable and homely, beds and bedding great, well equipped kitchen. 2 mins to the beach and a fantastic seafood restaurant and bar.
Was all great.
This is a dreamy house! It was exactly the Irish countryside experience I was looking for when booking! Gorgeous house, very comfortable with everything you need. There is a trampoline in the backyard that the kids enjoyed, and a treehouse, which he also rents out for people to stay in. The host was simply wonderful, so kind and helpful, and recommended spots to visit. We walked the short distance to the beach both nights to watch the sunset over the ocean. The town has great restaurant options and a grocery store. We ate at Linnane's Lobster Bar both nights because it was so good! The seafood chowder is amazing! The nearby chocolate factory is out of this world. Highly, highly recommend this home!
There was nothing we didn't like about this place. Out of the 5 of us, it was the most favorited home we stayed in.
The location is second to none right beside the Flaggy Shore. It is extremely well fitted out, wonderful beds and linen, comfortable , roomy, and spotlessly clean and well presented. Hosts are wonderful, and deservedly proud of this gem
Nothing.
Stunning location, lots of space both inside and out. Lots of character but also modern.
Some doors not closing properly
The location was ideal - serene, safe, rural, and close to amenities. The owner of the property, Derek, is a wonderful human being - warm, communicative, generous, and funny. I loved stoking the fires in the evening, and waking up to a wonderful view.
Fabulous location. Old house full of character. Super hosts, very helpful and always available. Lots to see and do nearby. Short walk to the local pub restaurant, and short walk to the local beach.
Nothing really, it ticked all the boxes for us.
The house was spacious, light filled and very comfortable. We were 500m from the flaggy shore, an amazing little art gallery was across the road from us and the location itself was magical
All good
Very scenic views
The weather
Location is beautiful.House is beautiful and full of character and in great condition. Hosts were friendly and helpful.Oen fire very cosy and homely.
Really we dont have any complaints. Facilities were great... i cant remember if we knew that we would have an open fire. We loved that.
The host met us at the property when we arrived to make sure we were settled and ready to go. We had no issues with checking in or with the accommodations. It is a beautifully redone historic home. The home was clean, fresh linens & towels were available. We had 4 adults and 2 children, with plenty of space for all. Absolutely loved our stay.
Honestly, everything was great. Hot water works very well. I could night find a hair dryer, but a new one was delivered to the house when I asked if there was one - problem solved. My only suggestion is that the washer needs to be cleaned, as when we did a load of a laundry, the clothes smelled musty/mildew-ey. There is no dryer but the clothes dried fine on a rack.
We had a wonderful time at the Wild Atlantic Way Historic House in the Burren and our experience was exceptional. We will certainly return to the lovely house because of the utter beauty of the nature surrounding it and the cozy feeling of the historical house. The public beach is a few steps away, so is Linnane’s Lobster Bar, a must for lunch or dinner. We followed Derek’s recommendations to the stunning places of the Burren. He is a caring host who made us feel very much at home.
The location is very good.
