Vardø accommodation - white house

Well, this 1-room-studio was perfect for me! I arrived by motorbike and the contact with the owner was uncomplicated via SMS. So the key was in a small tresor box next to the entrance. Everything was perfectly clean: livingroom and bathroom. Well equiped, nicely arranged. A usefull small kitchen. The appartement is in walking distance to the village, where you find good restaurants and shops. There's even a petrolstation in the village.

Had everything a traveller does need. Small, but very comfortable!

Das Bad war modern und sehr sauber. Warmes Wasser lief zuverlässig. Die Lage war gut. Check-in mit den zuvor mitgeteilten Daten funktionierte einwandfrei.

Leider hat mich die Wohnung insgesamt enttäuscht und kurz dachte ich, ich wäre der erste Gast überhaupt und alles noch nicht ganz fertig. Aber aufgrund der Abnutzung einiger Dinge, fiel diese Möglichkeit raus. Verbesserungspotential wäre vorhanden: - Steckdose und Licht an der Küchenzeile (!) - ein Tischchen oder ähnliches um den Wasserkocher nicht auf dem Boden betreiben zu müssen - ein Herd der sich vernünftig regeln lässt (das Wasser mit meinen Nudeln hat selbst auf niedrigster Stufe die gesamte Kochdauer von 12 min so stark gekocht, dass ich dabei stehen bleiben musste damit es nicht überkocht) - ein bisschen mehr Küchenausstattung, wie zb ein Sieb, ein kleines Schneidebrett, Topflappen (ich habe selbst in Hytten auf Campingplätzen mehr Ausstattung vorgefunden) - mehr Stauraum für Gepäck Durch das nur mittelmäßig bequeme Sofa und den Kühlschrank im gleichen Raum, der sich natürlich immer mal wieder eingeschaltet hat, habe ich leider keine einzige der 3 Nächte gut geschlafen.

Helppo löytää. Auton saa oven viereen. Rauhallista. Viihtyisä majoitus. Yllättävän hyvä sänky. Hyvä keittiön varustus. Hyvä yhteydenpito majoittajaan.

Gemütlich, sauber und ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Veldig sentralt. De var også veldig behjelpelig på tidspunkter jeg ønsket å sjekke inn og ut. Til å være sovesofa var det overraskende behagelig, med tykke gardiner så det ble fint og mørkt. Bestikk, skåler og annet man trengte for et kort måltid var til stede og rent. Internett var inkludert og med god fart. Veldig passelig for en enkelt person eller ett par som er ute etter et sted å sove. Jeg ville booket her igjen.

Kjøleskapet ble for kaldt så drikken fryste, men det var bare å justere termostaten så ordnet det seg.

Sehr sauberes und gemütliches Appartement. Ruhige Lage, kleine Küche und hübsches Badezimmer. Es gibt sogar Google TV, so dass man vom Handy streamen kann. Aber das tollste ist die Landschaft hier - die weite Reise lohnt sich!

Pidin majoituksen rauhallisuudesta ja halusin majoittua yksin, niin pieni yksiö oli täydellinen siihen. Huoneessa oli mikrouuni, vedenkeitin, keittolevy, ja jääkaappi, joita tarvitsi ruokien laittoa varten.

Olisi voinut olla harja ja rikkalapio tai pieni imuri, niin olisi saanut ulkoa tulevat roskat pois lattialta.

I read the critical reviews here, most focused on how small the unit is. Can't say I was surprised . The unit feels like a camper than a residential space. Unlike a camper where everything is used thoughtfully to provide comfort here, it seems like no real planning making the space functional. Nothing is organized, and it doesn’t feel like anyone considered how a person might live and enjoy in such a small place. The unit is a single room about 12 s/m, incl. a kitchenette, a sofa, and a small shelving cabinet. I have to start by the sofa. It’s an L-shaped sofa that looks like it was taken from items to give away. This L part takes up valuable space without any benefit, and it’s not able arranging the sheets. Couldn't they have chosen a straight sofa bed instead? This feels like a no care. Regarding the kitchenette with a built-in fridge, it’s generally fine for such a small space. However, why is it filled with old and unusable kitchenware? It feels like a junk storage rather than a functional kitchen. Should you throw out that’s not needed, leaving only the essentials, and turning it into a truly practical kitchenette. It might also be helpful to add a corner shelving unit but that’s just a suggestion. Regarding the shelving unit, it’s barely stable and not secured to the wall. Since it’s essentially the only storage space available, it should be sturdy and well-organized. Both the microwave and kettle are supposed to sit on these shelves because there’s no other place for them, so at the very least, this area should be properly arranged. It would also be helpful to slightly enlarge the shelving or add more shelves extending to the corner. There is no table in the room, accord. the limited space. However, providing a foldable personal table in an X-shape could make a difference — these can be purchased cheaply and hung on the wall. Additionally, a folding chair would be useful and doesn’t cost much.

The accommodation is very clean and quiet.

There is no propper bed but only a sofa bed. Really small room.

Two bedroom apartment is very spacious, full equipment in the kitchen, good location, very good bed, matress is not too soft. The only thing - remeber to take your own amenities for bathroom - shower gel and shampoo. Overall - Highly recommended - I think this is the best option for stay in Vardø.

The room is very tiny - great as a base for just sleeping but it's hard to do anything else when the bed is open. Nevertheless, the position is great and it was very clean!

Big and newly renovated modern apartment in a nice and convenient location. Easily walkable to shops and restaurants. Lots of space and kitchen is well equipped.

Bathroom has weird smell, probably could use a bit better air circulation there.

The place is tiny, but offered everything I needed for my short stay. It was very clean, check-in was easy with a key-safe and you can see the fjord.

Nice room, small but enough space to move around. Warm inside, all the necessities are there. I was surprised with the lack of kettle of any sort and the need to boil water in the pot, but that wasn't really a problem. The bed was very comfy.
