Olana Blue - Beachfront apartment

We were very disappointed with our stay for several reasons. Each morning we woke up to a man sleeping on the outdoor furniture, who was supposedly security. This made us feel unsafe and took away from any sense of privacy. Our host, Thibaut Walle, was unavailable and took up to two days to respond to messages, which was frustrating when assistance was needed. During our 14-night stay, our bedding and towels were never changed, and the cleaning service that was promised did not take place. The bedding was also dirty upon arrival, which was unacceptable. Additionally, the apartment did not match the images advertised. Overall, this was not a pleasant experience, and we would not recommend this accommodation.i

Дорогие путешественники! Хочу оставить отзыв о вилле, в которой мы жили неделю и с какими трудностями столкнулись! Пожалуйста, обратите на него внимание, если не хотите испортить себе пребывание на Маврикий. Это апартаменты Олана, апартамент В( именно апартамент В, тк соседний аппартамент- это А, в нем мы жили в том году и особых проблем не возникало) В апартаменте В хозяева не заморачиваются и не обновляют необходимые вещи от слова совсем. Нет самых необходимых вещей, сантехника старая, все старое. Мебель и сама вилла устаревшие. 1. Мы приехали в аппартамент вечером, было видно, что они убраны только что, наспех, где- то на полу была вода, неприятный запах грязной тряпки, разводы на столешницах, грязь в шкафах для вещей внизу( от предыдущих гостей). Нет даже чайного пакетика и соли, не то что комплимента в виде фруктов или хотя бы бутылки воды (( 2. Старое постельное белье, некоторые наволочки начинают рваться 3. Мало полотенец для душа, и они не очень свежие, мы их перестирывали. Обещали привезти еще, не привезли. Полотенца тонкие 4. Старая сантехника, не очень чистая и некачественная, пластиковые дешевые лейки. Лейка в ванне сломалась, оторвалась полностью 5. Плохо работают или не работают кондиционеры или пульты от них. Они старые, заросшие грязью. Их не чистили никогда 6. Нет нормальных кострюль, одна была полностью ржавая, во второй оторван тефлон, одна сковорода и кастрюля, тоже видно, что самые дешевые 7. Нет кофемашины, стоит непонятный агрегат, видимо для фильтр кофе или что-то вроде того, пришлось купить свою 8. Нет электрического гриля, есть непонятный на углях, на такой жаре разжигать его невозможно. В соседнем апартаменте электрический гриль, который отлично жарит. Естественно, сказали, типа такой есть и все ) но Маврикий и гриль на углях это вещи несовместимые 9. Ужасная сушилка, большая, непонятной конструкции, которую нельзя двигать, она складывается и ломается, вещи падают. А так как часто бывает дождь, есть необходимость её двигать 10.

The location is perfect. Near beach and also near convenience shops, bakery, kiosk restaurant, etc.

Crockery and eating utensils could match better. No ironing board. Bath towels could be better quality.

It is spacious

Very dated property located next to a graveyard. Furniture and equipment are old, and the air conditioning did not work. Blinds were not properly fitted, offering no privacy. There is no direct beach access and the listing photos are misleading. Bathrooms were very dirty, and there was no front desk or spa despite being advertised. Other reviews are fairly old . Overall, the stay did not meet expectations.

Immediate access to the pool and small beach (depends on low tide). Bakery 2 mins from the property, supermarket about 10 mins, restaurants in walking distance. Great and quick communication with Cecile, many good tips.

The kitchen is slightly outdated but sufficient. The outdoor A/C unit is noisy when you sit in the patio and you can hear it in the master bedroom during night. We used fans during the night.

Beautiful views from the terrace. Nice swimming pool. Fully equipped and spacious apartment.

For beaches you need to drive to other places like morne Brabant . No problem, just good to know.

Right on the beach! The French property manager greeted us and helped us organize our trip: restaurant recommendations, things to do, shopping, supermarkets etc There are lots of activities nearby: Le Morne kitesurf lagoon and the golf club are just 15 mins away. The apartment itself is spacious, clean and private, with all the appliances you need. There is a watchman on duty each night - we felt totally safe.

Fabulous stay at Olana Blue apartment, perfectly located in a quiet alley literally a 1 minute walk from a cute mall with all the amenities. We bought great bakery there for breakfast facing Le Morne mountain and overlooking the blue lagoon. The beach is steps away and although it was winter, the water was warm in the morning. The property manager gave us a warm welcome and was available to share tips and answer questions by text. The apartment had partially been renovated and sofas, cushions etc were new. The property is very clean (daily cleaning service is available), spacious and well equipped - everything you need is there, including a baby cot. West coast is a must if you are on the island and we would definitely recommend this property. Thank you Cecile.

We recently stayed in a fantastic beach apartment, and we couldn't be happier with our experience! The apartment was spotless, incredibly well-equipped, and located in a safe and pleasant residential area. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The manager was kind, making sure that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The apartment had everything you could possibly want for a comfortable, longer stay, including a dishwasher, washing machine, and excellent air conditioning. The large beds were incredibly comfortable! Everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to stay by the beach. We will definitely be returning!
