It's a nice, small, friendly version of Butlins, but so much nicer. The staff are super happy and friendly. The rooms are a very good size—with kids at one end and parents at the other—and on the ground floor, you get to walk onto a small deck with four chairs and a table. What really sets this place apart is that you don't have to pay for much once you get there. Surfing is free on the beach, plus tennis, football, volleyball, crazy golf, putting, lawn bowls, snooker, and table tennis are all included in the price. The swimming pool area also has a sauna, steam room, hot tub, and gym. Breakfast is included with the hotel rooms and served buffet-style, but the standard is high. I measure breakfasts by the quality of the sausages, and these are well-cooked with good-quality meat. A fabulous place to stay!

The location is amazing. Just a short walk over the dunes onto the beach and within walking distance of lovely Croyde village. So much to do on site for the kids, a great indoor pool, games room with table tennis, badminton and interactive games. Also pool, mini golf and video games. The family room was ideal, with a double for me and twin beds for my grandsons. Loved having a mini fridge, a hairdryer, a heated towel rail and plenty of hanging space. Our included breakfasts were superb.

Although the restaurant provided a good range of kids' meals in the evening, I found the adult food a little disappointing and rather pricey

The size of the family room, the facilities normally you need to pay for extra activities onsite there's is free, no booking needed for swimming and the opening hours of the pool, with towels to use. Very quiet location, on the beach, and close to the village for a stroll.

The food was average, which did show in the cost.

Room was a good size, we appreciated having a fridge & fan available in the room. Room was clean & beds very comfortable. Location was a major factor in booking the hotel & was only a short walk, great when you've got kids. The outdoor childrens areas were excellent & provided the opportunity for the children to play, safely. Liked the free crazy golf! We also used the indoor pool which was great too. Towels were provided for this activity which was appreciated. All staff were very friendly, particularly the reception staff who always greeted you with a smile. We paid for our evening meal on arrival (Carvery) & it was very good value. Breakfast, which was included, was similarly very good. Would definitely stay here again & recommend to anyone.

Would have liked biscuits to have been provided with the tea/coffee/sugar etc.

Thin walls so expect some noise in the room, room very hot! Ground floor and had window ajar but still very hot! One lifeguard sat outside talking for the day not even in the pool area, only thing that didn't feel was up to scratch

The location is perfect for the beach. We stayed one night but were able to use the car park with EV charging and all the facilities the whole day after the checkout. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

You have to be fairly fit for the walk to the beach and back: it is a sandy path in the dunes.

cold plates at breakfast buffet, food chilled very quickly, so almost cold by the time you have managed to finish. poor selection of drinks choice at bar, particularly wine. small selection of t bags and coffee on arrival, labelled 'welcome pack' no refills during duration of stay, if you need any more you have to pay for them. bathroom very tired and 'dated' would have preferred option of a king size bed, rather than a standard double children's disco hour was disappointing, as just a large screen playing dance videos, with no one to help the toddlers do the steps. could see the toddlers struggling with how to do the dances. [needed someone on stage to encourage them] evening entertainment, was either a quiz or just dance music. reminded me of holiday camps from the 1960's [although it had a quaintness about it]

Great location with a short walk through the dunes to the beach. Very friendly and efficient staff. Plenty to do - playparks, swimming pool, crazy golf, evening entertainment.

Great access to the beach and having a pool sauna and steam room to use was good.

Lack of air conditioning in the room, and would have been nice if the bar lounge was open in the afternoon. They do sell some basic supplies at reception but having lodges onsite a well stocked shop would really help.

Room needs aircon in summer. I think the hotel should build a boardwalk to the beach. The walk over the dunes to the beach is hard going (and we are a relatively fit family).

No air con in the room and it was boiling and the shower head could not be pointed correctly so you had to hold it.

Not enough milk etc in the rooms. Milk was also UHT. They have fridges so why not supply proper milk? Also the Jacuzzi area was quite slimy and grubby.

Ampia piscina interna e piacevole sala giochi interna per bambini. La reception- quando aperta- vende generi di prima necessità tra cui anche cibo per cani.

La camera era caldissima, a causa delle temperature esterne ma l’impossibilità di aprire le Finestre si è rivelata molto limitante. Bagno cieco e senza aerazione, molto piccolo. Biancheria non perfettamente pulita. Colazione abbondante ma l’apertura del buffet alle 8:30 e molto limitante.

For the price ($275/night) we expected more service (help getting bags into the room, etc.) Its more of a British family reunion self-catering kind of place than a beachside resort with lounges on the beach and a swim up bar.

The site had lovely gardens well maintained. The hotel was lovely and clean and fresh looking. Our room was perfect with a small patio, bed comfortable. Breakfast had a great choice of food.

The meals in the evening were very nice from the meal, but not a lot of choice. Entertainment was a bit poor. Could do with some young blood in the team and some more material.

There is a lot of entertainment at Croyde Bay Hotel so you don't have to worry about the weather so much. You can play tennis or go to the swimming pool or gym.

Everything in the hotel was great. The only negative is towns. It is a really small town with not many grocery shops around. So if you are staying in self catering accommodation I do recommend doing food shopping before arriving because you will not find big shops close enough.

The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. The location was also convenient and the room was generally clean.

The property could benefit from some upgrades. Some of the facilities and furniture feel quite outdated and would improve the overall guest experience if they were modernised.

Fantastic services/access to amenities such as pool, steam room, gym, sauna, mini golf. Breakfast was fine and plenty available, but with some unusual music choices for the morning. Access to the beach was perfect. Surf shop hire was discounted too for those staying in the hotel.

Undercooked eggs. Bathroom had some water damage and the door was hard to close, but that didn't really matter for us.

I asked for a walk in shower and the room had a wet room so very convenient.

We came to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday and our son's end of A'levels. The family room was very spacious for us and our son who was having surfing lessons in the Bay. We were very impressed with the facilities and also the fact we could have used them all the following day after our one night stay. We found It excellent value for money and the breakfast was really good. We appreciate that being out of season made for quiet stay and it would probably not have suited us in the school summer holidays.

There was absolutely nothing that we did not like. We normally self cater in AirBnB's but we wanted to be near the beach for one night and it was such good value. Thank you!

Everything was lovely. No passes to pay for to use the facilities, Entertainment or the pool. All the staff were great. We were greeted by Beth at reception and Beth could not have been more helpful A fantastic welcome We booked as a last minute decision. We will definitely return. Thank you for a fantastic stay

We stayed in a family room in the hotel which was great. The room was clean and spacious. The pool was good fun. Nice little gym. The breakfast was amazing 🤩.

No air conditioning so we had to sleep with the windows open and there was noise throughout the night from other guests.

Staff were excellent, really friendly and helpful. The location is incredible. Kids had loads of things to occupy them: mini golf, pool, table tennis, tennis, football field, board games. Room was plenty big for family. Breakfast was excellent!

Kids bed in the room was broken, but manager apologised and sorted it ASAP. Bathroom door didn't lock, which wasn't an issue, but we pointed this out so it could be fixed.

The room was extremely hot and stuffy with poor ventilation. Which is a shame considering the cost of staying. To future proof you will definitely need air conditioning.

The room was surpringly large and comfortable. The location of the hotel was perfect... right next to the beach over the sand dunes. The facilities were brilliant. Everything that you could want for a family holiday especially. We got a disabled room - last minute booking but it was very comfortable. very central to all facilities with an outdoor sitting area. Great selection for breakfast and we regretted not eating dinner there as the food/carvery looked amazing

the bathroom floor flooded a bit when the shower was used which could make it slippery and dangerous for a disabled person or someone with limited mobility.

Set in an excellent location just a few hundred meters from the beach and some local bars. Bus stop outside for venturing a little further. It is immaculately kept and the staff were helpful and chatty. The room was nice and large with extras such as hair dryer, iron and kettle as standard but with bonus items such as mini-fridge and fans.

Great location, lovely staff and the facilities were really excellent.

Our cottage was a little tired, which wasn't an issue as we only really slept in it.

Location to the beach and the centre of Croyde. Kitchen was well equipped and large fridge and freezer were appreciated. The play areas were well maintained and fairly well equipped.

The double bed was too small for 2. The wardrobe was impossible to hang anything in as it was full of bedding. The second bedroom was far too small and had nowhere to store anything. The shower pressure in the bathroom was very weak and the adjustable height was broken. There was no where to put toiletries in the bathrooms. No shelves or surfaces to place things on. Some areas have been upgraded but other areas are in need of refurbishing.

I like how it situated by the beach. Perfect who loves walking and swimming. My son enjoyed the mini activities in the playground area.

We were challenged locating our room as there were no visible signage’s despite maps being available for use.
