I Have been to Nainital many times, but never spent my day like we spent at Shakoon Camps, everything was outstanding, Food, The View and the service served by Dheeraj(one of the staff members).♥️ We will visit next time, highly recommended
Hygiene parts can be improved, like blankets, pillows, otherwise overall was good
There was not a single reason to complain. The property owners gave the guests full permission to enjoy as they wished. Its a beautiful farm with hens and a dog and a beautiful trekking trail nearby
I recently had the most peaceful and refreshing experience at Shakoon Camps & Farmstay in Nainital. The location is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature, greenery, and breathtaking mountain views. It’s the perfect place to relax away from city noise. The camps and rooms were neat, clean, and very comfortable. The food was fresh, homemade, and truly delicious. What made the stay even more special was the warm hospitality of the staff — they were polite, helpful, and made us feel like family. Bonfire nights, open sky, fresh air, and the calm environment made this trip unforgettable. If you are looking for peace, nature, and a cozy stay in Nainital, this is highly recommended. Definitely visiting again soon! 🌿✨
Honestly, there was nothing major to dislike. Since it’s a nature-based farmstay, network connectivity can be a little weak at times — but that actually helped us disconnect and enjoy the peaceful surroundings even more.
Very Nice property, I am in love with Shakoon
Nothing to dislike
Environment, Tent Stay and Shadow (Dog)
I like the place.... It was so peaceful and cosy
There were many flies in day time and there was no mosquito net
A True Gem If you're looking for a genuine escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, Sukoon lives up to its name, which translates to "peace" What We Loved The first thing that strikes you about Sukoon is its serene atmosphere. The lack of noise pollution is immediately noticeable, replaced by the gentle sounds of nature. It’s the kind of place where you can finally hear yourself think. The location, nestled against a mountainous backdrop, is simply breathtaking and provides a sense of profound peace. What truly made our stay special, however, were the people and the food. The staff at Sukoon are incredibly warm and supportive, going out of their way to ensure guests feel comfortable and welcome. Their hospitality adds a personal touch that makes a huge difference. Furthermore, the food was an absolute delight. Every meal was delicious, fresh, and clearly prepared with care. It was a highlight of each day and exceeded all our expectations. A Few Things to Consider While the remote location is a huge part of its charm, it's also something to be aware of. Sukoon is a little far from the main city, so it requires some travel to get there. It's best to plan your trip accordingly and perhaps not schedule any city-based activities on your travel day
Being disconnected may be a little good while may be challenging for doing any connection with friends and family.
Everything about my stay was fantastic. The views are incredible and the people who run the place are very cool and friendly. I plan to return, and I recommend it to others! You won't be disappointed!
Comfortable stay and the views are so good. Very calm and nice staff with good behavior. Food is tasty and they provide bonfire also. I recommend it for a peaceful stay.
The food and co ordination of the staff The location made me so pleasing and felt like heaven with mouth licking food, calm and cool staff ... Homely feel when away from sweet home
Departing from the shakoon camp
Excellent and very peaceful places
Experience was good but the road to this place can be dangerously difficult for some people.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Sukoon, where the serene location truly lived up to the property's name. Special mention to Mr. Vishal, the Service Manager, for his exceptional behavior and support throughout my stay.
Nothing
It was really like heaven far away from city life near to SELF( The real you). My guide James bro was the best part.
Here the question should be what I didn't like about the place. The place is such a heaven, everything about this place is best- the food, surroundings, ambience, and especially their dog, Shadow. It's go to place for everyone whether you are a couple or family. Trust me, must visit the place atleast once in your life.
Nothing
It's more beautiful and located in koon village in the hills of Nainital. Place so scenery and you will merge with nature here. Suitable for family, friends and solo travelers. For further queries watch my experience here on my Tamil YouTube channel @cruisepacker Sathish.
It's chills in evening but it's manageable for adults.
Great location with sunrise view from camp
Really loved the experience. Off beat place near Nainital but this is worth the trip. The hosts are super super friendly and did everything to make it a good experience for us. This place can also be a good one for a workation.
