The View suites and breakfast in Triton, Newfoundland

The place is beautiful. The view is stunning, the decor is lovely. The shared living space is spacious and bright. There were decent breakfast options offered to serve/make yourself.

The room with 2 double beds is quite cramped. The shower was so cramped you couldn't lift your arms without bumping elbows on walls or the glass door. The house has 6 rooms; with multiple people in each, there isn't any place to sit inside without being in the middle of someone else's conversation. When we weren't outside, we stayed in our room and it was raining, so we were in our room most of the time. We were only there for one night, so it was fine in my case. Also, not a big deal to me since we didn't use the kitchen, but bear in mind that instructions are to do your own dishes and clean the kitchen before leaving. I'm not sure how they determine which guests made a mess when multiple rooms are full.

The 'home' is beautiful. Inside and out. We had a gorgeous room with everything we needed and after heading out for dinner we were excited to get back so we could enjoy a cup of tea in the deck overlooking the ocean. It was a but chilly but there were comfy blankets to wrap up in. When it got too chilly we went inside and turned in the fireplace and sat in the beautiful living room. The woman who looks after the place came by to get the breakfast items ready and she was lovely. Answered all our questions about living in the area and life in Triton. We slept well and had a great continental breakfast (although no boiled eggs as promised). Wonderful place to be.

Perfect location overlooking the ocean living up to its name. Clean bright beautiful no details too small friendly staff kind owners that helped me get to the property and back to the mainland. They went above and so beyond showing Newfoundlander hospitality want to come back soon!!!

I have described the View as a Seniors hostel. The ability to mingle and meet other guests was special. We were in Room #5 and it was wonderful. The locati8on and the active wildlife in the surroundind water was lovely.

I did hear some guests say that there room on the main floor was a bit noisy when guests were up early in the morning.

It was an extremely clean and beautiful place to stay. The owner went above and beyond for us on our stay.

The location is stunning! The views and location make it a relaxing place to spend time at. The breakfast had enough variety to start off your day. I would definitely recommend and stay there again.

The shower in our room was quite small and barely enough room to turn around.

Location and amazing view. Comfortable kitchen and sitting area. Beautiful big deck with sesting overlooking the ocesn. There was everything for breakfast that you would need. Bagels, English muffins. Bread for toast, fruit, yogurt. Cereal and boiled eggs. Although there weren't any boiled eggs the second morning and missed my protein.

A larger shower

The day before our arrival we received a notification that our accommodation needed to be changed to a location about 10 km away. No host present. The room itself was very nice.

The self-serve breakfast was a half loaf of bread. Ended up going to a diner down the street.

The breakfast was okay but it would have been nice to be able to cook some eggs, and have higher quality coffee.

Fabulous location, right on the ocean with fantastic views! Everything is very new looking with wonderful homey touches. No efforts are spared in the providing of an over the top experience for the guests.

I liked the home. It was new, clean and had the views that we were looking for. I especially liked the attempts to provide some information on the area in which we were staying. Top notch information package. I also felt that support if need was very close. I also enjoyed access to tea/coffee and snacks throughout the day. Designed beautifully. A lot care and attention to detail was obvious and appreciated. Well Done!

The only major issue that we found a little off putting was the lack of a blind/window covering in the washroom.

Outstanding location, clean and spacious.

It wasn’t clear that the owners are not on site. I appreciated that every room had a code lock so it still felt safe. Our room was closest to the common area so we could hear both the night owls and the early birds.

We thought location was great, and the breakfast was as well, I had a boiled egg, cereal and a muffin.

The breakfast was great and the ability to eat it on the patio, overlooking the ocean was a nice perk!

The breakfast selection was very good.

We would have enjoyed cooking a dinner and enjoying the views. Not being able to use the stove was a disappointment to my travelling friend, as she loves to cook. We both found the shower to be small and awkward.

Fantastic corner room with a superb view. Well decorated. Pleasant breakfast. All the other guests were relaxed and friendly.

Lovely, sea front home.

The owner. He is also the mayor, and does not allow cooking on premises, despite having a full, modern kitchen. Recommended a local restaurant instead. Turns out he owns that as well. To me, this was a beautiful, well appointed property, fairly new, but not well run. We heard from the mayor about all the other businesses he owns, and the new Nordic spa he is thinking of opening. Pro tip: do one thing well before you move on. This one still needs work.

The View is a beautiful property. Very clean and well decorated. Nice linens and a comfortable bed. We enjoyed the common areas and socializing with the other guests.

Everything - its location and the views, being able to spot whales from inside; the high standards achieved by the owners - the best accommodation we have stayed in during our time in Newfoundland. We also enjoyed the social aspect of having a shared living area and chatted to some very interesting people

I enjoyed my stay. Next time I will definitely stay longer! The view is amaxong!! The location was perfect, and I absolutely loved the little village and the surrounding area.

I thought i booked a room overlooking the water but it was a side view & again ,thought there was a cooked full breakfest , not continental breakfast , very nice room , shower was small and im not a big man , overall very nice

The common area got pretty loud from late afternoon until late into the evening. A large group of guests hanging out there.

This was the very best stay of our vacation so far. We were treated like family. Breakfast was lovely and the view is spectacular. Beds were so comfy.

in super schönes Haus, das man unbedingt erlebt haben muss! Die Lage ist traumhaft und das ganze Ambiente einfach fantastisch. Alles war perfekt, sehr sauber und mit viel Geschmack eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und kann die Zeit dort in vollen Zügen genießen. Für mich war es etwas ganz Besonderes — absolut empfehlenswert und jederzeit wieder!

Comfort and relaxing atmosphere, the "View" out the window, the attention to detail. The staff are top notch, caring and responsive to one's needs with understanding.

Copious amounts of food, juices, coffee and tea were available during the entire stay, and replenished for the breakfast repas. Room was clean and well appointed, wi-fi available, easily connected to, instructions for door codes were timely. Ocean views were spectacular…

Shower head was loose and, due to the diminutive size of the shower stall, when trying to turn the shower head away to avoid the first burst of cold water, the head became more unscrewed shooting water up the wall.. Issue was reported to cleaning staff before departing

The location of the View and Breakfast Suites was absolutely superb. I sat out on the chairs and took in the beauty. I also got to see a whale far off in the distance. The room was extremely clean and tidy. Beautiful property! Continental breakfast selection overall was very good and well stocked.

It was warm so we had to keep our window open in Room # 3. It was located just above the door entrance. It was a little noisy with the high pitch sound when guests where entering the house. Many guests had quite a lot of difficulty using the key pad for some reason. Also a car parked outside the door and left it running for a good 15 minutes. Had to close window as fumes were entering room. Once the evening settled into night, it was quiet for sleeping. The website states that there was complimentary toiletries and bathrobes. There were no bathrobes and the only toiletry in room was a large bottle of handwash. Fortunately I did not need toiletries or bathrobes. Maybe website needs to be updated. I have a well on my property so I know the challenges of having good tasting water. I would recommend installing a reverse osmosis system for the drinking water. I installed one and the drinking water is now crystal clear.

The View is misnamed, it should be The Incredible View! Everything was wonderful, the choices for continental breakfast were boundless, Larisa and Jason couldn’t have been better hosts. The room was beautiful, everything needed was provided, extra clean (thanks Velma). The location unmatched, we saw whales from the huge deck. Friends were made in a couple of days. Triton was a prosperous, pretty town, with lots of interesting places. Finally, the spectacular VIEW, absolutely beautiful. Thank you.

From St Johns the drive took over 7 hours, either fly into Gander, or split your trip and stay half way en route for a night. A few pesky mosquitoes on the deck in the evening

The room was clean.

We were deeply disappointed with the room and lack of a view. Our window looked out onto the parking lot, with a sliver of ocean visible. The main entry into the building was directly in front of the window, with other guests walking in and out regularly, so we could not even keep the curtains open. The room was also cramped, with almost no space for luggage. We had booked early, and had been really looking forward to our stay. We expressed our concern to the owner, who responded that there was nothing she could do. We paid more for our stay here than at other beautiful inns with stunning views near Gros Morne and in St. Anthony, and would not recommend it.

This is an amazing location, overlooking the water. The shared space was very cozy and allowed interaction with our lovely fellow guests. Self serve breakfast was fantastic. Our only regret is that we didn’t book more than one night! Excellent hiking and scenery nearby!

A stunning view of the ocean from the common living/dining/kitchen area was a real highlight of The View (aptly named). We even saw a humpback whale frolicking in the ocean on the first night -- a scene that lasted over half an hour. Our room was extremely clean and tastefully appointed. We met Jason and Larista, the proprietors, at the Bumblebee Bight and Inn, which they also own, and both were extremely personable, making sure we were totally satisfied.

The only thing missing was a box of tissues in the bedrooms.

The property was absolutely beautiful. Both inside and out. Remarkable views!
