De locatie is echt prachtig! Mooie tuin, fijne plek om te zitten, heerlijk eten, airco en warm water. Alles is superschoon en het personeel is zo vrie delijk! We hebben ook de jungle trekking hier geboekt en die was fantastisch! Absolute aanrader!

Wauw! Wat een fantastische tijd hebben we hier gehad. En met name door de gastvrijheid en gezelligheid van al het personeel. Vanaf aankomst tot vertrek, bij de activiteiten & daarna, super lief en vriendelijk. Echt een aanrader om hier te verblijven en de jungle trekking hier direct bij te boeken. Onze jungletocht was echt fantastisch, we hebben 7! Oerang utangs gezien, heerlijk gegeten en super goede uitleg gehad. Het eten bij de bar van het verblijf was overigens ook top, een van de beste satés die we ooit gegeten hebben. Al met al: een van de vetste dingen die wij ooit gedaan hebben.

We were able to book our jungle trek, organised airport transfers and the staff were amazing, so passionate and very willing to help. Yoga and Azdi were fantastic guides and we managed to see 4 orangutans🦧🦧

We were so well looked after. The staff were kind and made sure we had everything that we needed. We had two evening meals which were both delicious. The Homestay organised a day trek with two guides who took excellent care of us and gave us a fabulous and interesting day and we were able to see a number of Orangutangs. On the trek we were provided with a fantastic spread of fruit and later a very tasty lunch.

Hjelpsomme og hyggelige ansatte. Hjalp oss å arrangere turer i nasjonalparken og flyplasstransport. Guidene var veldig flinke og gode i engelsk.

Taxisjåføren som hentet oss prøvde å lure oss. Hevdet ATM tok 8-12% avgift og kjørte oss til et undelig lokale for å ta ut penger til 4%. ATM er mye billigere så vi kranglet oss til å dra til en i stedet. Ble også overpriset SIM kort, han mente det var dyrere på flyplassen men det stemmer ikke. Måtte betale dobbel pris utenfor.. Tuk-tuk sjåføren i Bukit Lawang arrangert av hotellet skulle ha 50 000 IDR for å kjøre oss til sentrum. Han kjørte kun til utkanten av sentrum og stoppet da det begynte å regne masse. Han krevde 50 000 til for å kjøre oss helt frem. Vi hadde ingen valg til å si nei selv med protest at det var ikke avtalen.

Wow. Hier hat alles gestimmt. Wirklich, die Gastgeber waren so freundlich und so bemüht dass wir uns wohlfühlen. Man hat gespürt dass das Team seine Arbeit wirklich gerne macht. Das Essen ist sehr gut, die Unterkunft gut gelegen. Abseits vom großen Trouble im Dorf. Preislich wirklich günstig für das was geboten wird.

Staff were great. Went on a trek and were able to see 10+ orangutan and other wildlife.

Mosquito neat was to small for the bed the way it hung.

Von Anfang an fühlten wir uns willkommen und sehr wohl. Jedes einzelne Mitglied dieses Teams ist unglaublich freundlich und warmherzig. Wir waren mit Yoga und Bambang auf der Tour und hätten mit unseren beiden Guides nicht glücklicher sein können. Wir hatten viel Spass, haben viel gelernt und natürlich die wunderschöne Trekkingtour genossen. Wir hatten grosses Glück, viele Affen und Orang-Utans zu sehen. Die Obstplatte und das Mittagessen wurden mit viel Liebe zubereitet und waren köstlich. Die Rafting-Tour war ebenfalls einzigartig und rundete den Tag perfekt ab. Die Trekkingtour selbst ist körperlich ziemlich anstrengend, daher sind gute Kleidung, Ausdauer und Trekking-Erfahrung erforderlich. Die Unterkunft ist grossartig und das Essen unglaublich lecker. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass die Anreise nach Bukit Lawang etwas lang und beschwerlich ist, aber das gehört halt dazu. Insgesamt war es ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, das wir jedem empfehlen können.

Sehr gutes Frühstück - wunschgemäß. Superfreundliches Personal. Sehr gute Küche mittags und abends. Sehr schöne familiäre Atmosphäre. Sehr sichere Anlage. Tolles Programm für Unternehmungen. Gefühl wie Zuhause.

Vielleicht auch einen Sessel im Zimmer. Könnte man aber auch selber von der Veranda holen.

Die Anlage ist zauberhaft und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Nous avons tout aimé ! A l'arrivée c'est déjà un grand wouahhhh ! Joliment décoré et dans la nature,..magnifique ! Le bungalow est spacieux avec un lit king size très confortable, protégé par une moustiquaire. La salle de bain est atypique et jolie, la seule chose c'est qu'il n y a pas d'eau chaude. La famille et tout le personnel sont tous extraordinaire ! Ils feront tout pour que vous soyez bien. Les repas sur place sont très bons, avec plusieurs choix. Nous avons fait le trek dans la jungle option 2 jours, 1 nuit, et nous avons adoré. Vous pouvez aussi faire juste la journée dans la jungle ou 3 jours et 2 nuits dans la jungle .. a vous de choisir. L’organisation est impeccable ! L'equipe qui vous accompagne est vraiment super, bienveillante et attentionnée. Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour .

Pas habitué à prendre des douches à l'eau froide, c'est la seule chose qui nous a géné .

We were welcomed like family and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We loved the informal evenings listening to the staff sing and play guitar. The food was delicious and plentiful. My husband and son did an overnight jungle trek and my son said it was the best part of his holiday! My daughter and I did the day trek as I had a knee injury. Staff were so caring and patient and we saw lots of Orangutans. We absolutely loved it. When we left we were waved off like royalty and many hugs were exchanged. It was definitely the friendliest place we stayed in our months travel. It says a lot about a place when the staff go back to their place of work at night when they are not working to relax. I got the impression the staff are like one big family.

Sehr gute Vorabkommunikation via WhatsApp zur Buchung von Treks und Transfers. Tolles Team, das eine relaxte Atmosphäre schafft. Touren können spontan gebucht werden. Wir buchten Seifenherstellung, Kochschule und Dorftour - natürlich neben dem Dschungeltrek. Essen war auch recht gut.

Uns war nicht klar, dass unsere einfache Zimmerkategorie im Homestay neben an war. Kein Problem, aber vom Style nicht ganz so ansprechend wie die Hauptanlage. Dafür mehr als fair bepreist.

Beautiful design, tranquil and wonderful food. Staff were amazing, friendly and really went out of their way to make our stay special.

Voimme suositella heidän palveluitaan. Heidän kanssaan oli myös mukava jutella Indonesiasta ja viettää yhdessä aikaa. Ruoka oli herkullista ja tilat viihtyisät.

It’s a lovely place with a beautiful garden, and the food is excellent. The bed is comfortable, and the terrace offers a stunning view.

Unfortunately, there was a strong odor in the room, likely from the bathroom sink, which was not very clean and had a lot of bugs.

The budget room is next to the accommodation in another hotel. Did not bother us was even better than the room at the actual accommodation

They seem a bit scamy with the prices they charged for everything

We had a fantastic time with Sumatra Orangutan Trek. Everything was well organized from start to finish. The jungle trek was unforgettable. We saw several orangutans, gibbons, and other monkeys. The guides were knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the environment, always respectful of the wildlife. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel at home right away. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. A perfect way to experience the jungle in a responsible and memorable way.

The food at the restaurant is not great. We opted to eat in Bukit Lawang instead.

AMAZING stay in there. Everything was perfect : the trek, the guest house, the restaurant (so good food) and the staff. Cooking staff, jungle guides, manager, driver, they are all very nice, funny and always happy to help. The organisation is very good. GO GO GO ;)

I very much enjoyed my stay here. I spent 2 nights before my jungle trek and 1 night after. I booked the 2 day/1 night jungle trek with them as well. I actually think that is the only way you can stay at their guesthouse, so they ensure that their trekking clients have accommodation. Communication with the manager, Dedycool was faultless, from the time i made my initial inquiry to when the driver picked me up at the airport. The room was spotless, the bed and pillows were some of the most comfortable I've had in 5 months of travel, and the AC did the job. The staff could not have been more welcoming, both upon arrival and every time I came for a meal or returned from an outing. The location outside of the village ensured a peaceful nights sleep. I enjoyed the 30 minute walk to the center, allowing me to see people going about their daily lives. The jungle trek was phenomenal in every way. Both guides, Edwin and Janet, were professional and got excited when we saw orangutans (we saw 7). The food both at the guesthouse and on the trek was very tasty. The trekking was challenging but not overly so. It was fun scrambling up hillsides using vines and roots as foot and hand holds. The camping was much more comfortable than I expected. The camping mats were thick, and the lightweight sleeping bag was just right for the temperature. The rafting back to the village was super fun and a great way to end the 2 days in the jungle. I'm very pleased with my decision to book through Sumatra Orangutans Treks.

We spent 3 nights in the Villa. We were extremely well received by the manager "Dady Cool" and his team. Everyone is kind, friendly and caring!!! They are available at any time of day to help you with anything! We also went for a jungle trekking that was just amazing ! I totally recommend booking activities with them ! For the villa, you'll find everything you need in your room (and if something missing, they will do their best to help) On top of that, the breakfast and the whole dining menu are really delicious. Don't hesitate to eat there, you won't regret it Thanks again to all the team for the amazing moments we spent there !

The whole team at the stay are very warm and welcoming. They do pride themselves as a family, and one can sincerely feel it too. Each one of them take pride in what they do. Very good stay for those planning to do jungle trekking and spotting Orangutans. Dedycool is the manager of the stay and he can assist to arrange transfers and trekking tours. All the trekking and transfers are quoted in Euro. Hence can appear a bit pricey for Asians with weaker currencies. I suppose it's because the stay has mainly European and Western guests, seeking adventures, nature and fauna.

Absolutely incredible experience! I did the day trek and stayed two nights. The accomodation is wonderful, very clean and luxurious. The staff are extremely helpful with excellent English. Can definately recommend staying here, and doing a trek. The rafting at the end of the day was awesome! If I come back, I will do a longer trek and stay again. Absolutely fabulous! Thankyou for making my time in Bukit Lawang so memorable!

We loved that the host and our guides were kind, friendly, happy and helpful. We appreciated that. My husband's credit card fell out of his pocket while we were there and the cleaners found it and they let us know he lost it and disposed of it for us. They even sent a video showing us this. We were very grateful for that. The food (pumpkin curry) we had there was absolutly delicious! The little bungalows were nicely done, cute and clean. It was a nice well kept property, (not right in the jungle like many of the other options we saw) we had thought it would be more in the jungle so that was disappointing, but it was nice, close to the river and very close to the little town.

We were surprised and not excited to find out (after booking) that they force you to do a jungle tour with them in order to stay there. We did not appreciate that. We wanted to do a orangutan tour but I wanted to research the guides to ensure they were not feeding the animals and go with those who don't to protect the animals. Unfortunatly this did not happen and I was not given that choice as we found out when we arrived at the airport that we must book their tour to keep our room reservation. I don't think this is fair it right (they said it is common practice there and everyone does this). Our guides were nice and we enjoyed our tour. We liked the guides, I just want to protect the animals and keep them wild. Also it was hot. The a/c didn't work super well and because we weren't actually in the jungle there wasn't a lot of shade/trees. So be prepared for the heat.

Run by local people. Friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. Wonderful trek to see the orangutans and the rafting on inner tubes down the rapids was good fun and refreshing after a hot descent to the river. We got a lot closer to the orangutans than I expected. Close enough to hear a large male crunching on a watermelon skin.

Some of the staff are working on their spoken English. Not a criticism.

Great value and friendly locals. We had an awesome jungle trek and saw orangutans, monkeys and other wildlife. The food on site was great and it was a short walk or scooter ride into Bukit Lawang. No hot water but you get that in the jungle.

Had a great stay here, other than the place having no hot water it was perfect, rooms were clean and staff were very welcoming. Food and drinks were also great, we did the 2 day 1 night jungle trek and saw 8 orangutans as well as lots of other wildlife, our guide was really friendly and knowledgeable.

An incredible place. We had the pleasure of staying in a wonderful villa, where we felt very well received by Dedycool. They offer a delicious breakfast for a great start to the day. The atmosphere at all times was very pleasant, relaxed and full of happiness. The experience of trekking through the jungle with them was absolutely spectacular. The guides, Hamed and Janet, were exceptional, demonstrating great professionalism and knowledge. Without a doubt an experience that I would recommend!

From the beginning Dedy Cool and the whole staff welcomed us in such a charismatic way, that we felt absolutely comfortable and relaxed throughout the whole stay (from making jokes to having deep conversations). Special shout-out to the two lady-Chefs (Nene and Linda) for cooking different tasteful dishes. That was the reason why we booked the cooking class …and it was worth it! We also booked the Jungle-Trecking through this accommodation and it was the BEST. Our Guides, Erwin and Bambang, made the 2-day Tour to one of the most special experience on our trip. Their knowledge and funny personalities made them the coolest guides ever. And also thank you for the best timing (we saw one Gibbon, some Orang-Utans and even an Orang-Utan Baby, and …) and really nice food. Beautiful stay. We would 100% recommend it! Terima kasih :D

Beautiful villa’s in a secluded garden and a very tranquil environment. The staff lead by Deddycool (Mr. Processing and leader of the band) is wonderful and serves great food all day long. Within walking distance are rice paddies, a botanical garden and the bat cave, worthwhile a visit. The team organised an unforgettable 2 day 1 night jungle trekking for us, with guides Tondi and Bamba. And all of this at reasonable pricing. We would love to come again!

Our stay was too short.

Very clean and nice rooms. Very comfortable and quite. Food was quite delicious. The trek was fun!

We are in the middle of the jungle and i expected this place to be a bit cheaper than the city but it is more expensive! Laundry is overpriced. Waterbottles are overpriced( while i suggest there should be a water filter).

The place is stunning, the owner and the guides for the trekks are amazing people. So kind, funny and profesionals. The jungle trekking its the best you can do.

We did a one-day trek with Mowgli and Anto and had a wonderful experience. They are both very knowledgeable and friendly. From our research beforehand, we were not totally confident that we would actually get to see the orangutans but we, with their expertise, we were incredibly lucky and spent about an hour looking at orangutans at two separate points which was a really wonderful experience. Anto was particularly good at always ensuring that we had the best view possible. The trek to see the orangutans can be quite steep at times so we wouldn't recommend this trip for anyone with walking difficulties. The trip included a snack which included lots of fruit and we also had a wonderful lunch, both of which were beautifully presented. Finally, the tour ended with a trip along the river in a raft which was excellent fun and gave amazing views of the forest and the villages alongside it. In short, this was a brilliant experience and we'd really recommend it!

Beautiful environment, clean air outside the busy part of the city. Great owners who took care of us in every way, excellent kitchen and clean and comfortable accommodation. An oasis of peace and good mood. I recommend booking a 3-day jungle trek through them, it was the best experience of the entire stay. We saw a lot of animals in the wild thanks to the excellent guides and they also have a great cook :)

The stay was perfect. The room was very comfortable and the location was excellent. The breakfast was great and the people were so helpful and friendly. Very well organized, Dedy Cool letting us know in advance the distance from the airport and helping with getting to the hotel. We did the one day tour and it was provided by fantastic tour guides who were extremely knowledgeable about the rainforest and Orangutangs. We would highly recommend.

Amazing stay. Very nice clean room, brilliant value! Also booked 3 day trek with them which was incredible, saw lots of orangutan’s, but the whole team made it so special. Guides Helmy (Mowgli) and Dean and chef Anto (great food) were so welcoming, friendly, polite, very funny and amazing guides. Made the trip brilliant. Dedycool the host was super!
