Beautiful location

Amazing view and Michelle was prompt in her responses to our questions and very helpful. The breakfast was homemade and delicious!😋 The Backeddy nearby was delicious we were just feet from the ferry!

Peaceful, quiet, great view. Breakfast was good with variety. Unit was clean and welcoming. Wifi good.

There was a bit of odd smell when entering but quickly dissipated. Print off or screen print directions as there is very limited cell service. Stairs and pathway down were a bit of a challenge but doable.

The location of this property is amazing. We loved just sitting on the deck or by the fire pit and enjoying the view. The property owners were very friendly, as were the neighbours who made us aware of a bear close by! Breakfast was nice too.

Easy check in, beautiful waterfront, comfortable room and nice breakfast

At first we weren’t sure how to check in, but they answered the phone right away and gave us all the information we needed.

The location and views were great! Right on the water. The space was clean.

The room and bathroom smelled badly of marijuana, which we didn't appreciate at all. We dont smoke and my wife is 20 weeks pregnant and this was really frustrating!

Großartige Lage direkt am Wasser, einfach auf der Terrasse entspannen, wunderschöner Blick. Frühstück super gelöst und sehr lecker. In der kleinen Ecke mit Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle und Kaffeemaschine ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Die Gastgeberin ist super nett und hilfsbereit. Sogar Badetücher und Schnorchel werden gestellt. Das Zimmer war sauber und ausreichend groß, obwohl wir zwei große Koffer dabei hatten. Wir kommen gerne jederzeit wieder.

Exceptional! The host is amazing and makes sure you have everything you need. The morning breakfast is delicious. The view is stunning when sitting on the deck.

Wir haben nun schon ein zweites Mal hier übernachtet und finden die Lage direkt am Wasser überragend. Auch wenn dieses Mal das Wetter nicht so mitgespielt hat, so wurden wir von vorbeischwimmenden Orca's bei Laune gehalten. Eines der beiden Zimmer könnte eine kleine Renovierung erfahren, ansonsten aber waren wir sehr zufrieden. Das Frühstück am Morgen war ausreichend und lecker.

Im Badezimmer des einen Appartement müsste an einigen Stellen was ausgebessert werden.

Couldn't get the fireplace to work.

The location is great. Beautiful view and a wonderful terrace/deck in front of the room. You share the terrace/deck with the 1 other rooms. A lovely breakfast is provided.

Tricky to access street if vehicles are waiting for ferry to Saltery Bay/Powell River. Time arrival when there's no ferry scheduled to depart Earls Cove.

This was the most relaxing accommodation so far in three weeks on the road. Check in, breakfast, communication with the host were all uncomplicated. The views, the comfortable outdoor furniture, the ferry going by, the harbor seals playing right in front of us all made it difficult to leave. We would love to come back for a longer stay!

The view on the deck - simply incredible. The self serve breakfast was also really nice. And the outdoor furniture. Nice touch to be enthusiastically greeted by Clare the dachshund. We also appreciated the well stocked kitchen area and bathroom.

Only thing that could’ve been improved was having better access to swimming via a jetty or platform when this is installed.

The view is stunning and a good location. The owner communicated promptly offering us a breakfast package to take away due to our early departure time. This was appreciated.

Room smelt of weed on arrival. Unfortunately our neighbouring room had a party of young visitors who watched loud movies and music then socialised loudly until the early hours drinking over the long weekend. There was lots of swearing, burping and shouting by one of the guys which interrupted sleeping. It was unfortunate that these visitors were not more mindful of other guests.

Gastgeber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück gut und reichlich; Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher und Mikrowelle im Zimmer. Michelle hat angeboten, Reservierungen zum Abendessen für uns zu machen. Die Aussicht vom Deck aufs Wasser ist wunderschön.

Es ist anstrengend, das Gepäck vom Auto zum Zimmer und zurück zu bringen, weil abschüssig. Nur teilweise Holztreppe, ansonsten nicht befestigter Weg und Naturstein-Treppe mit losen Steinen. Für ältere, nicht trittfeste Gäste nur mit Einschränkungen zu empfehlen

Friendly host, awesome view from the deck, breakfast was amazing. Hard to say what was the highlight as it was all of the highest standard.

Schöne Unterkunft in absoluter Top-Lage nahe beim Anleger der Fähre Saltery Bay-Earls Cove. Guter Ausgangspunkt, um die Skookumchuck Rapids zu besuchen, den Lake Ruby oder die weitere Umgebung von Earls Cove.

Das WiFi ging nicht so gut, aber die Gastgeber haben mitgeteilt, dass sie sich darum kümmern werden, das zu verbessern. Insofern würde ich das auch positiv bewerten.

The room was very spacious and comfortable - wonderful view over the water. We really enjoyed having Breakfast overlooking the water.

The walk down to the room is very steep and not very suitable for people with knee issues.

The view is absolutely amazing, you’re right on the water. It’s very quiet and secluded, but still close to the Sunshine Coast highway and Saltery Bay ferry. Breakfast was delicious and delivered outside our door. Yogurt, granola, fresh fruit and fresh baked goods, breakfast quiche, so good!! Beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms are clean with a nice big shower. Even little things like good quality toiletries and toilet paper. Shared common area with books, towels, blankets, water shoes, scuba gear, and a sink. We were offered use of a canoe and firewood for the fire pit. We saw lots of wildlife! Tons of otters and seals right from the deck. Really cool to see the ferries going by as well, especially at night when they’re lit up

Wifi was very bad, pretty much unusable our whole stay. Some guest pictures are misleading, there is no dock, so when the tide is out it is hard to go swimming. Not a negative of the property, but was disappointing so just be aware. We were given no information of how to check in prior to our stay, and no info on how to check out before we left. Loved the location and the view. Breakfast was perfect.

The stone steps were difficult to navigate. My husband slipped and fell. He sustained a cut to his lip and abrasions on his arm and leg. For safety a hand rail would be a good idea. Would love to stay again, but a bit worried about lack of safety on the steps.

The location was great! The access to the room was difficult with suitcases. A good set of wood stairs would solve the problem!! Unfortunately we were late having our breakfast due to some misinformation on the laminated sheet. I think a little more communication from the hosts would have made a big difference. I did however love the view of the water from my bed!

Our stay was amazing, location is beautiful, very quiet and peaceful place. Room is good size, have everything that you need, clean and comfortable. Breakfast that included was good. Over all it was great time to stay at Orca View.

Bad was little hard for me, but it’s probably my personal preferences. Breakfast was exactly same for 2 days, maybe little different option will be great if you stay 2-3 days or more. Quality was great.

The location was amazing. It was very peaceful and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Large, clean bathroom with nice shower. Michele even brought cookies around in the evening! Really enjoyed swimming off of the rocks. Also loved relaxing on the deck in the comfortable chairs.

Breakfast was good, fruit yogurt, granola, some sort of baked goods. It was a good portion.

The first night, the downstairs units were all full. Each room had their own outside chairs and table, but we all shared the same long balcony overlooking the bay. If someone walked to the railing and looked back, they could see in your room. It would have been nice to have some sort of divider so you felt like you had your own space. One of the rooms had several guests so it didn't feel very private. At one point there were 8 of us on the balcony enjoying the peaceful view.

View was amazing, and location

The view was absolutely amazing. So close to the ferry and Skookumchuck narrows. The breakfast was excellent and the hosts were responsive.

Nothing negative about the place, but note for those carrying larger luggage or unsteady on their feet, there are some outside stone steps to traverse to your worth it accommodation.

Wir haben die Gastgeber nicht gesehen, obwohl sie im Haus waren. Kontakt nur über SMS. Es roch im Raum bei der Ankunft merkwürdig! Freilaufende Hunde auf dem Gelände, möglicherweise vom Nachbarn.

The view is unparalleled! It was so beautiful to see the amazing view of the ocean right outside the balcony doors! The breakfast was also really yummy.

The only fault I could really pick on is the smell of cannabis in both rooms that we stayed in. The smell is just one of those things that doesn’t easily go away even if you air out the rooms. After a while, you get used to it though.

The view from the house is one to die for I wanted to stay here permanently I spent my entire time watching the coast

Incredible location can't be beat. Breakfast was nice and accommodated gluten free options.

Bathroom had not been cleaned. Toilet had hairs on the rim and was visibly soiled. Shower had long hairs on ground and over shower product bottles. Bath mat was wet when we arrived. Screen door handle was broken and not easy to open and close. I hope this can be resolved as it really is a great spot.

Mismatched bits of crockery, glasses, mugs. Too few as there was no washing up facility. Access via a fairly steep gravel path/ steps which would be tricky for anyone with mobility issues.

Draw dropping location. A serenity now visit. Sitting on the deck looking over at the harbour was really wonderful. The room was cosy and comfortable. We really enjoyed our breakfast… I would definitely come here again on my way through. Maybe even stay longer.😊 Instructions on how to check ourselves in went smoothly.

Superbe logement sur le bord d’une baie dans l’océan pacifique. Très beau levé de soleil. La quiétude et un lit comfortable étaient au rendez-vous. À deux minutes du traversier, ce fut l’endroit parfait pour une brève halte sur notre tour de la côte. C’est très calme et relaxant. L’internet est très rapide.

Rien, on a tout aimé. Nous avions mal lu les directions, mais un appel à l’hôte a résolu le problème en quelques minutes, tout en douceur.

This stay is in a really nice location with a great view. We enjoyed looking at the ocean from the unit. It's very clean, and the host provided great hospitality. The breakfast is really cute and delicious. It is totally recommended for a place to relax and slow down.

Atemberaubende Lage, freier Blick von Terrasse direkt aufs Wasser – unglaublich erholsam und ruhig. Haben Seehunde vorbeischwimmen sehen, Kolibris in der Abenddämmerung. Fernglas liegt bereit. Frühstück (frisches Obst mit Quark + Selbstgebackenen Keksen/Kuchen) war sehr liebevoll angerichtet.

Breakfast was great. The view was amazing. Extra coffee and teas etc was really appreciated . Great place to stay with a group as there are three rooms on the one deck.

There was a smell in the room coming from the vent I would wager, that smelled between fish and fresh cut weed. The path is loose gravel down to stairs-ok for us but some would have difficulty

Breakfast included the best yogurt and fresh fruit. The hosts were very helpful with kayak launching optins that are surprisingly scarce in this area.

One of the reasons we chose this B&B was based on the high cleanliness ratings, but our experience unfortunately did not meet those expectations. The sink had dried toothpaste, and the shower contained various types of hair. The bathmat and rugs were visibly dirty, the sofa had food crumbs, the table had stains as well as what appeared to be weed crumbs. The room also had a strong odor of weed, which we brought to the owners’ attention. While they responded promptly, the issue wasn’t addressed instead information about breakfast was shared. The mattress in the was quite worn out. (Mermaid Quarters) On a positive note, the view from the deck was lovely. However, the overall lack of cleanliness did not align with the nightly rate we paid.

The view from the deck is spectacular. The bed is very comfortable and the room really has everything you could need for a night or two; hot shower, binoculars, hooks to hang things, recommendations for the area, etc. The breakfast was lovely! There was enough for me to take some leftover for my hike later in the morning. I was only staying the one day but I definitely had the impression right from arrival that, were I to ask any questions or need help, the owners would have been happy to oblige.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. I was a little nervous parking next to Flynn (the 'guard dog') when I first arrived (incase he ran too close to the car). But he's very friendly and he lost interest in my coming and going pretty quickly.

It was remote, gorgeous and peaceful.

The only critique that I have is that they should stock the bathroom with Charmin ultra soft TP. Other than that everything was perfect.

the unit is stocked with a few snack items including tea and coffee and they serve a great bento box continental style breakfast in the morning, The unit is also very nicely decorated providing a homey ambience and is situated overlooking the water, what a great view to wake to wake up too! And soo close to the ferry terminal (2 minute drive, you can see the ferry coming in from the unit)

The pull out bed was a bit uncomfortable, the springs were felt. Probably not going to be comfortable for an adult or teenager but our three year old slept on the pull out so was not an issue for us.

The location was fabulous. Located right on Earls Cove. Enjoyed camp fires on the waters edge. Rooms were well equipped. The host provided a wonderful breakfast of yogurt, homemade granola and fresh fruit, muffins and cookies. Was a truly relaxing stay. Was only minutes from the ferry to Saltry bay

Unterkunft schwierig zu finden, keine persönlicher Kontakt zu den Vermietern möglich. Erst nach telefonischer Kontaktaufnahme mit der ziemlich genervten und nicht wirklich freundlichen Gastgeberin konnten wir eingewiesen werden. Obwohl der Gastgeber im Haus war, wir uns auch lautstark bemerkbar gemacht hatten, kam er uns erst nach dem Telefonat mit seiner Frau zur Hilfe. Der Weg zum Zimmer ist schwer zu bewältigen, für Gehbehinderte mit Reisekoffern sehr schwierig da er steil und mit losem Kies bedeckt ist. Bei unserer Ankunft roch es im Zimmer unangenehm, die Sauberkeit war auch verbesserungswürdig.

Strong permeating small of marijuana in our room and on the deck made our stay unpleasant. We had booked 2 nights but left after 1 night as we couldn't tolerate the smell. Pathway to room was difficult to navigate as steep, loose gravel, and unlit. Disappointing!
