It is private and the food served there was amazing. We really enjoyed how well we were taken care off by everyone especially Mr. Girish. Thank youu.
If you are looking for a place that balances raw luxury with a deep respect for nature, Dhole’s Den is it. We recently spent two nights at this incredible eco-lodge, and it was the highlight of our trip to Bandipur. From the moment we arrived, we felt less like "tourists" and more like guests in a very sophisticated, eco-conscious home. The architecture oriented the views of the Nilgiri Mountains. The heart of Dhole’s Den is undoubtedly the people: Ingrid, our Host: Ingrid is an absolute gem. Her passion for conservation and her hospitality are infectious. She has a way of making you feel completely at ease, sharing fascinating stories about the local wildlife and the history of the lodge. The service here is impeccable yet unobtrusive. The staff is genuinely warm and attentive, ensuring every small detail of our stay was perfect. They truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. If you want to escape the "resort" crowds and experience the wild with a touch of class and a lot of heart, stay at Dhole's Den. Thank you, Ingrid and the entire team, for an unforgettable two days!
The property is located at the edge of the tiger reserve which makes it very much accesible to the safari booking center.
The only inconvenience is the 1-2 kms stretch which is very rough till the property.
The stay was very good and hospitality of the staff and the owner was fantastic!
Very homely place, could easily engage with the staff there and they were always willing to cater to our requirements
A little pricey.

It was a family get-together and we all enjoyed it thoroughly. We came together from different parts of the world, and Dholes Den was the perfect place for a very relaxing stay. The room and bed were very comfortable, and the lovely nature and forest setting made the surroundings peaceful and beautiful. The forest walks were refreshing. The food and service were amazing, and the staff members were very friendly and welcoming. A wonderful place to unwind and spend quality time with family. Highly recommended.
Amazing location, staff and experience.
I stayed in a very nice room. It had a safari feel, ( kinda Bali too) The view was amazing. Ingrid is a gem, and the naturalist is very informative and kind. Very good food.
At times the staff seemed a little lost. But they pulled it off.
Super fijne sfeer
The property is great and well managed by Karthik and team. The view is great and the property is designed very well. Felt homely also
High tea was nothing but few pakodas and only one plate for 2 people. Staff could use a bit of training in hospitality. The garden mansion could have curtains in the rooms, will definitely help. Intercom in the room didnt work and kettle was not there
A lovely eco resort nestled in the Bandipur forest reserve. Owned and managed by a passionate for sustainable tourism couple.
The only negative thing was a poor approach road that tires you completely. Then it’s also a good intro to the remoteness of the resort totally invisible till you hit the main gate of the resort
We were made to feel so welcome by the owners who took us on tour of their garden and to a sunset spot for coffee. The guest house is in such a beautiful setting and our rooms were very tasteful. Food was delicious and we enjoyed meeting other guests. Definitely the best place we stayed on our trip.
Dhole's Den is a gem. We (4 people) stayed at the Garden mansion and it was very comfortable. The property is green and beautiful, with a small pond where one can opt for fishing. The staff is helpful and took us for various activities, like the farm visit, bird watching and sunset tea. The food is exactly like home-made food - healthy, simple and delicious. They also helped us with the Bandipur Safari which was an awesome experience. The lounge is very inviting and has a brilliant collection of books.
Location was perfect for a relaxing holiday . Peaceful surroundings except for the night prowlers either elephant or leopard outside the premises. Enough space walk and enjoy the birds within the property. Food was exceptionally good.Staff were helpful.
The road leading to the property but it isn’t a reflection on the property at all A short bouncy ride.
We had three lovely days at Dhole´s. Nice staff, nice room and good food. Thank you for arranging the three safari tours. Absolutely fantastic hours in the jungle. We will be happy to get back to you. Sofia
Location
Not very clean. Dining table had stale food in all the crevasses. The bathroom needed to be cleaner.
The personal touch of the Owner Karthik. The rooms are large and comfortable. The food was just amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Awesome how Karthik made a plan to drop us off
Everything was perfect

Cleanliness and food
I felt welcome the minute I walked in the door, a very special place to stay. It felt very appropriate to be staying in this reserve with true animal lovers. Very fond memories of my safari and nature walk. Also - top class ingredients and home cooking for each meal, very plentiful too.
Fabulous refuge from the world. Food is exceptional; South Indian cuisine at its best. Rooms are large and spacious. Do take the nature walk in the morning. We saw elephants and leopards and countless species of birds. The owners also live here and we dined together several times; lovely and interesting couple.
Great location, nice rooms, friendly team...
Felt right at home with all the luxuries amid a prime forest area. The hosts were the best part about the stay:) Would come back for sure!
Absolutely everything was perfect!
Very nice and homely. Staff is very friendly. Good variety for all the meals.
Calm and peaceful stay. We spotted leopards,, elephants, and deers from here.

Ambiance
Great location, rooms are well ventilated giving a very positive vibe. One of the best and well managed place making you feel at home.
Limited choice of food though whatever was there was very good.
This place is special. Beautiful, tranquil and relaxed. The setting is perfect. Beautiful views from the verandas. Everywhere and always the sight and sounds of birds and animals. From our veranda we saw spotted deer, mongoose, eagles, turtle, sunbirds, peacocks and so much more. The food was amazing. Inventive mixes of flavours, perfectly cooked and generously served. The hosts are very friendly, welcoming and interesting. The staff are great. A great team. One of them took us out for early morning and late afternoon birdwatching walks that were great. And it’s right next to the Bandipur reserve so very handy for safaris. We planned to stay two nights but just had to stay one more. You could easily spend a week here and still be reluctant to leave. I totally recommend this place. Go. You’ll love it.
Nothing
A great place to stay for a safari tour. And hugely enjoyed our nature tour with Girish the first afternoon, who is very knowledgable. Sensational meals - plenty of choice - and most of the vegetables home-grown. A very friendly atmosphere; Karthikai & Ingred have created a very special & luxurious home-stay.
Much as we loved the fridge & cold water in the bedroom, would have appreciated a kettle & teabags.
The property is beautiful and the food exceptional. The team were very helpful and went out of their way to arrange our safaris and drive us there.
It was further away from Bandipur than we had appreciated.
Dhole’s den is a wonderful property located in the wilderness that provides a sense of serene and calmness. The entire stay felt like being close to home stay even being away from home. The one thing that really amazed me is the food prepared from freshly cultivated vegetables that is delivered directly from the hands of farmers
Given the price of the accommodation and the meal, the food spread could have been more diverse.
It’s located away from the roads, gives a feel of almost living in the forest. The host is very friendly, the staff are quite knowledgeable about the birds and animals around the region and give excellent recommendations. We went with two little girls, and they had as much an enjoyable trip as adults.
None, our 3-day visit was perfect.
We loved the location out near the forest. It was beautifully quiet. We really enjoyed bird watching, going for a few walks and seeing lots of wildlife. We went on 2 safaris away from the compound. The staff were really very generous, knowledgeable and kind. The food was excellent and very generous!
There wasn't anything we didn't like. We found a nice walk through the local village a little late in our stay, so if you like to get a walk in do have a walk along the roads (away from the forest!)
Ambience and food was good
Nothing much
The location of the homestay is really breathtaking. You can see the western Ghats range from all the rooms. The rooms are huge and spacious.
The service of the staff is one of the worst I have experienced in any hotel till now. The homestay is not at all suitable for families with children. There is no menu for children or the staff ready to cook anything. You have to ask multiple times to get anything done. There is no room service and you will have to ask multiple times even to get the morning tea. The foods are okay but tasteless. The manager and some of the staff are courteous but most of them are careless and rude. This homestay could be suitable for couples or singles but strictly not for families with children.
nice location , cordial staff and helpful owner
hot water is a problem. Remaining all are in order.
very good property, everything is perfect and more than expected at middle of a jungle. thanks to Karthik and team. we enjoyed a lot and want to come back asap.
