Reviewed Sep 18, 2026из плюсов: в отеле есть своя лодка и они забирают с пирса на остров и обратно отвозят, хороший чистый бассейн, есть своя сауна и джакузи, на этом плюсы закончились
цены на завтрак, обед или ужин - заоблачные, рядом 100 метров от них на общественном пляже куча кафешек, где цены в 2, порою в 3, а на некоторые блюда и в 5 раз дешевле, В ПЯТЬ РАЗ КАРЛ!!! Далее, есть свой пляж, но практически всё море в камнях, есть маленькая полоска, где море без камней, хотя пляж чистый, песок приятный мягкий. Далее, в комнате не было ни чайника, ни холодильника, ни сейфа - за такие деньги у хотя бы чайник можно было бы поставить? Воды питьевой в комнате тоже нет, ни одной бутылки не ставят, есть общий куллер аж на ресепшене, поэтому если захочешь воды, нужно переться аж до ресепшена, ну или покупай 2 долл за бутылочку. Утром просил персонал включить сауну, в ответ: "да, да, сейчас включим", аж в обед включили, хотя работать должна якобы с 8 утра.
В общем, за такие деньги, на других островах Камбоджи лучше и качество и сам отдых, поэтому не советую этот остров.

Reviewed Jun 23, 2026This place exceeded my expectations. Went in thinking I’d have a chill two days on my own but ended up getting roped into a whole lot of fun thanks to their reps Harry, Joris, Charlotte and Kiran. It was a relatively quiet season when I went so we all formed a small intimate group that partook in activities together - I did not feel alone at any point, everyone was super friendly!
Only real issue was that I found my pillow to be mouldy when I arrived. It was swapped and then fine afterwards. Would’ve loved to see more Cambodian dinner options rather than pizza or Mexican night.

Reviewed Jun 15, 2026I loved the beautiful ocean views, the peaceful atmosphere, and the comfortable spaces to relax. The private room was spacious, clean, and offered great privacy. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help. I also enjoyed the social activities organized by the team, such as beach volleyball, karaoke nights, and pool parties, which created a fun and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
There was nothing major I didn't like. The only thing I would suggest is providing towels for guests to use at the beach or pool, as these were not available during my stay. Other than that, everything was excellent.
Niet geschikt voor mensen boven 40 jaar. Altijd harde muziek in restaurant.
Bij aankomst moesten we zelf om handdoeken vragen.
Geen koelkastje in de kamer, geen flesje water. Verboden om zelf eten van buiten mee te nemen.
De boulevard langs de zee nog volop in ontwikkeling met helaas allemaal afgestorven nieuwe palmen. En erg kunstmatig.

1. Something looks like waste water flowing through the property from other higher side directly to the beach with bad smell.

Reviewed Apr 20, 2026Got everything you need at the hostel, it’s like a resort turned into a mad monkey. Pretty nice and the reps were great.
Apart from the hostel activities, not loads to do or much going on around the island. Nothing to do with the hostel itself tho, stunning place.

Reviewed Apr 20, 2026The property is well equipped for a relaxing stay.. steam room,sauna, gym etc perfect for after Koh Rong. The reps were really friendly India, Jacob, George and Harry. Staff were lovely too, especially the lady at reception didn’t catch her nam, but so helpful. Beds are massive, and showers are decent. One of the best hostels so far. Food is good but a bit samey.. I wouldn’t stay here for long than 3 days.
The locker in my room didn’t work, reported but never fixed. This doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy my stay!

Private beach, and There is no rubbish on the beach, the staff keep it cleans. Outdoor bathrooms accessible for showering after swimming in the sea.
Wish there is more time available for boat picking up from the port and return back to the port.

Reviewed Mar 2, 2026I loved the staff at the bar brilliant service , the wellness area was super clean , jacuzzi cold plunge and sauna! The pool was so clear and beautiful! The rooms were gorgeous so worth the money. Harry and Johan are doing a great job with this resort hostel. I will be coming back

Buiten de accomodatie is er in de directe omgeving niets te doen. Daarnaast wordt je helemaal gek van alle willekeurige berichten die ze via de Booking app versturen, ook nadat je verblijf al lang voorbij is. Heb gevraagd om dit te stoppen maar dat doen ze niet !

Although looked like a resort very much a hostel vibe with constant pressure to buy beer. Local staff don’t appear happy. Sun lounger were hard wood and landscaping looked tired.

Никакой сервис, ленивый персонал, в бунгало (которое стоит значительно дороже чем койка в Dorm) нет даже зубных щеток и других принадлежностей. Тренажёрный зал - никакой, все ржавое и грязное. Сауну посещают посторонние люди которые не живут в отеле. В целом не стоит своих денег.

Reviewed Dec 13, 2025It's a really beautiful location and the hotel is very clean. It feels more like a fancy resort than a hostel (although I was in a private room, not a dorm).
There was no internet at all. No wifi, no mobile service. You have to walk to town to check e-mails.
The kitchen is a bit slow, even when they're quiet. We waited one hour for food and then found out the order had been lost.
There are no chairs in the rooms. They give you a massive room with a lovely big balcony, but you have nowhere to sit.

Food is over priced here you have to eat in the hostel foods not great either. Hot tubs are filthy when the bubbles aren’t going looks disgusting, I got a bacterial rash here from the water.
Also really big uneven steps outside the rooms which are dark at night and I fell down them as I couldn’t see

Great facilities and staff.
Shout out to the WiFi, best WiFi you’ll find in the whole of South East Asia.
I wouldn’t say dislike; but I feel Harry may have early on set dementia as he couldn’t remember my name after 6 days of me being there.
Location, staff, snorkelling/coral and exploring village life on the island. The sunsets were stunning.

Reviewed Apr 15, 2025It was really a bad choice. Waiting and trying to join them from the pier to pick me up for one hour. Nobody answered. I paid for a private boat. If u are more than 25 years old choose another place. Boum boum music and backpackers. The food is so so. It’s not an hotel. U have to pay every time u order something, no welcoming water in the room, no coffee no fridge. No chairs and table on the balcony. 90% of the staff don’t speak English. The most expensive coffee of Cambodia 3,5$ for one espresso ! The boat for leaving after check out turn back because they forgot someone.

Reviewed Mar 23, 2025The hotel is lovely and feels like you are at a 5* resort with it being new. We had a private bungalow which was right in the beach and it was really nice, clean and huge! The staff are friendly especially Hak and Sreytouch. These 2 staff members were always so happy, polite and couldn’t do enough for you they really made our 3 night stay very pleasant. The reps were also very friendly and nice to talk to! The food is nice but If you fancy something different from Mad Monkey for food, I recommend Ella restaurant which is about a 10 minute walk :)
The pool was closed the whole time we were there.
No hair dryers anywhere in the resort.
5% service charge on everything which I think is a bit extreme when your just ordering a drink that they have to grab from the fridge.
Food takes a long time, we waited over 2 hours for pizza.
Short changed quite a lot.

Reviewed Mar 11, 2025Facilities are perfect, comfy beds, nice food. Our stay wouldn’t have been the same without Harry and Fay, best reps I have met whilst travelling.
The location is great. The room is really clean.
I just would like to suggest that they should have hand washing soap in addition to body wash and shampoo.

Reviewed Feb 12, 2025Brand new - like a 5 * resort. Staff helpful and friendly . Mad Monkey reps Kevin and Harry excellent hosts . Swimming pool plunge pools and saunas all on site .
Food and drink was excellent but prices at high end. Onward transport didn’t work well.
