Large riverfront home with spa and stage

Perfect location for our needs. Spacious & clean property. Great to have separate spaces for kids/extended family. The deck overlooking the river is lovely - the weather just didn't give us a chance to make the most of it.

We did miss have a dining table or desk to eat/work at. Sitting on barstools at a kitchen bench is fine for a quick bite, but not very comfortable for working or gaming. The morning wake up call from the chickens & ducks outside our bedroom window was equal parts amusing & annoying. An extra hour of sleep would have been nice... :-)

We really enjoyed the river location and spa.

We were disappointed in the breakfast provided as we possibly expecting eggs which may not have been realistic. Fruit would have been nice for breakfast. Apart from some bread we did not eat any breakfast supplied. The coffee machine leaked water and the pods were awful! The instant coffee was not nice either. Some of the oven trays were not clean, nor was the microwave.

We probably should have gone for more than one night but thats on us.

Het uitzicht was prachtig vanuit de spa. Het huis is ruim, de 2e woonkamer was fantastisch, de kamers verdeeld over de woning waardoor iedereen genoeg privacy had. Het overdekte terras was perfect voor maaltijden. Genoeg servies en bestek voor ons gezelschap (6 personen). Ontzettend vriendelijke eigenaresse, die elke ochtend de kippen en eenden kwam voeren, een praatje maakte en er voor zorgde dat het ons aan niets ontbrak. Zeer aan te bevelen!!

the single beds are a bit worn. All of the elements on the gas cook top are either minimum or maximum. The kitchen was a tad dirty - this didn't really bother me as such but thought I let you know.

Lovely and peaceful staycation. Enjoyed the fresh eggs from the hens and a beautiful jacuzzi to a lovely view of the lake. House was wall maintained and clean! A bit chilly due to the lake but after starting the fire place and using the heater, house was warm and cozy to enjoy. Enjoyed the sunrise and saw the southern lights for a beautiful ending! Thank you for a memorable holiday at Dargaville!

Clean and tidy. It is an older home with quirky style. Everything a family like mine needed. Kids loved the spa pool and feeding the chickens.

Lovely comfortable home with the awesome under cover spa which was perfect for our wet 2 days! Little touches with breakfast jars were lovely! And I am in love with your yellow oven!!

The location of the property was excellent with great views across the river and the spa pool was to die for. Location in a quiet street and the eggs from the chickens on site were a great breakfast. Full of character and charm.

Hosts were amazing and went above and beyond. The little touches such as the bread and fresh fruit were welcomed on arrival and house has a great layout for a few or many people joining. The deck and spa were well used and it was an easy drive to pop into Dargaville for supplies. We will definitely be back if we have to return to the area.

The place is riverside with a nice view and a lot of privacy. The jacuzzi in the backyard we enjoy most because we stay there at valentines Day. They have chicken and ducks running around , soo cute and giving you fresh eggs if they like you 😀 This place is suggested for a family holiday

The property is more a private home than a vacation place. You feel a bit like disturbing the owner when staying inside. There is no aircon no fan, no plugs in the bathrooms, mirrors displaced. The house is a old town facility with generation history which h you see everywhere around.

Could have done with a BBQ for our steak but everything else was perfect.

The spa was great. The fire was great. Breakfast was nice Welcoming gift was nice The hostess went out of her way, very friendly.

No small bathroom bins. No beside lamps . Maybe a small barbecue out the back., would be good.
