This was a comfortable home stay type property with a balcony. The beds were comfy and linen good quality. The owner had thoughtfully left us a delicious fruit platter. In advance of our stay we received many messages giving restaurant suggestions etc. It was amazing value for money. There was a kitchen available and fridge if you wanted to make light meals.

Although there was a kettle, our family room was set up in such a way as to make it tricky to use the kettle safely without rearranging the furniture a bit.

The property is close to the train station and offers perfect independence to go out for a meal, watch the sunset, or take a walk in the national park. It feels very welcoming, and everything is clearly explained and thoughtfully provided.

There was nothing I didn’t like

Stayed here for 3 nights when we visited Hualien in June 2025. We are a family of 3 (with 1 baby). - Easy to check-in, the instructions were clear. - Location is good, it's a 10 minutes walk from the Hualien station. Quite a few eateries, coffee shops and grocery stores a few minutes walk away. - Nice kitchen area on the ground floor, which enabled us to cook some food, make coffee, wash our dishes and even had a steriliser for our baby's bottles. - Wifi was good throughout. - Lift is available in the property. - Our room had a queen bed and a single bed. Beds were comfortable. - A complimentary fruit platter was in the fridge upon our arrival, which is a nice touch. - TV had Disney+, Netflix (all logged in, so we didn't have to use our personal creds)

- Rooms aren't the biggest, and with a baby it was a bit of a tight squeeze. We were the only guests for the first 2 nights, so it wasn't much of an issue. - Laundry is on the terrace, and it was raining. While the machines were protected from the rain, I ended up getting a bit wet while doing the laundry. - The dryer is quite old, and took two cycles to completely dry.

Spacious, clean, comfortable and modern room, in a quiet location close to bus and train station. Very much appreciated the daily fruit platter – a lovely gesture by the owners who always responded promptly to our messages, Highly recommended.

Central location, spacious room with comfortable beds

We asked for an earlier check in time and this was confirmed via the booking app, but upon arrival it turned out our room wasn't ready yet. No breakfast provided, and finding a breakfast serving restaurant nearby was a bit of a challenge. We had to pay the room in cash by leaving the room fee in a small purse in the room, this felt a bit odd

Received details about accessing the property after we arrived, had to phone owner who came by to let us in. Very noisy with other loud guests

The beds, shower, lighting were all good, as was the property 's location relative to the main commercial area and the train station. In the common area bottled water was available as was a refrigerator.

Getting into the property was problematic. The front door was locked and required a code, which I didn't get ahead of time. Luckily I had a phone with connectivity and could call. Even then, the owner had to get someone to translate. Once we got in, we found that our room wasn't ready. I called the owner again, and she said to take another room. That room wasn't ready either. Finally the maid showed up and our room was ready an hour after check in. We never did see the owner nor did we see the maid again. It was weird.

Room was fine

Shower was not so great and there was nobody to welcome you. It is all very inpersonal

Stayed in the double room 302. It was very comfortable and had a calm atmosphere. The view to the mountains was pleasant and constantly changing. Overall the value was very good.

The bathroom and shower are very great except the shower has a narrow section which is a bit awkward but not reason not to stay here.

Our room was clean and spacious and the twin beds were comfortable. The guest house seemed very new and fresh and it smelled lovely too. We chose the location because it is close to the train station. There are some good places to eat around there too, but we caught a taxi to get to the ocean front promenade. We appreciated the fruit platter and the concern the owners showed us when there was a severe typhoon approaching.

Everything was good.

We were in Hualian on the day of the earthquake. The building is new, so it's stable and robust. There was no major damage to the building. It's super easy to get to the train station and Family Mart from here. The hosts were very kind and helpful to help us arrange for a room at a good price when we were stuck in Hualian for an extra night. Thank you for your help!

Owner is really generous and we loved the daily fruits platter. Generally clean. Daily room cleaning (if you need).

Softer touches in the decor could make it more cosy and inviting.

Excellent location, just walkable from the Hualien station. Cut fruit, water filter, common kitchen with thoughtful items. We also used the washer and dryer on the 4th floor. The room was spacious and well-lit. The beds were comfy. It's a great value for money. Please don't expect luxurious furnishings etc., but everything is planned around utility for the guests.

Very convenient location less than 10 minutes' walk from the train station. Very clean rooms, and loved the fruit platters for each room. The free laundry was also a very nice amenity (though the clothing dryer doesn't work very well). Would definitely recommend as an affordable, comfortable place to stay in Hualien.

The location is close to the centre and the main station. The check-in is well organised with clear instructions. The place had all you need for a stay, including a plate of fruits served in the morning. There is a washing machine and refrigerators to be used.

The room itself was quite old but that's the only small minus, everything else was great.

It was a beautiful and clean property, with easy instructions from the owner prior to my stay. They were helpful and responsive to my questions. The facilities were excellent, as well as a shared kitchen area. It was very close to Hualien Station and to convenience stores.

Very clean and comfortable stay throughout the two nights. Free fruits is being provided. Bottled water supply is sufficient. The owner will refill the water bottles consistently. Less than 10mins walk from hualien station to homestay.

The host was amazing. They ensured we had a good stay, provided free fruits daily, excellent cleanliness, and a good location (near the city). Even though the host was Chinese, they put efforts into communicating with us in English to ensure we had a good stay.

Everything is clean and maintained well. Very cosy place. They served a fruit platter everyday and the pantry was stocked with distilled water and also a water dispenser. There is also a lift in the accommodation so no problems getting up and down the room. It is a huge plus point. They also recommended a very good driver (Mr Liu) to take us to Taroko Gorge. The accommodation is less than 10 minutes walk from Hualien Train Station.

The home and room was very clean and smelled pleasant. Host replied within hours with regards to our queries. Instructions around the house were given adequately which ease our check in and stay. The accommodation is only a 6 min walk from Hualien station which makes our travel very conveninent. Will absolutely recommend this place!

Laundry available on site for guests. I didn't plan to wash clothes, but ended up needing to use it. So glad it's available. Fruit tray is a nice. Appreciate her thoughtfulness.

The hosts provided us with very precise and detailed info to self-check in, left a fresh fruit platter in the fridge for us and answered questions quickly via the app. We didn't meet them but that was fine. The rooms are clean and have both AC and dehumidifiers to keep you comfortable. The hotel/homestay is right near the train/bus station so perfect if you're just passing through Hualien on the way up to Taroko. The center is reached on foot in about 25 minutes. There's also a fun bowling alley around the corner if you're looking to have some fun late in the evenings!

The building is a bit dingy on the outside and you're not staying here for the view. But it's perfectly comfortable and a good spot to stay if you're in Hualien as most tourists are, to explore Taroko Gorge.

Location was great, room was very clean, there was also washer and dryer which was very helpful!

It was great value for money. Well-suited for young people who are on a budget. Close to the train and bus station and so it is ideal for people who plan to hike in the Taroko gorge. There was a welcome plate of assorted fruits which was nice.

The place is self check-in. For international visitors who come from countries where such practice is not common, it may be a bit of a hassle to let themselves in. Particularly, if they don't have a local phone SIM. I would suggest a short note in the email message from the property on how to locate the keypad panel, especially when the visitors arrive after dark. Many visitors may not know that they have to swipe it for it to light up.

Really cheap and good value. It was nice and seemed new. I liked the layout.

There were ants. They crawled onto the desk and onto our food which left it inedible.

clean, comfortable room. The owner was friendly and accommodating. it is about a 20 minute walk into the town centre but the streets are safe. We received water bottles and a large plate of fruit for breakfast. 100% recommend!
