Lokal Hut Bed and Breakfast

Estuvimos muy cómodos, aunque solo fue por una noche. Nos recibieron bastante tarde y, aun así, nos prepararon el desayuno a las 6 de la mañana para que pudiéramos irnos a una excursión que teníamos programada. Además, después de la hora del check-out, nos dejaron ducharnos antes de marcharnos, un detalle que agradecimos muchísimo. Ana es encantadora y muy amable, y las instalaciones son súper bonitas y acogedoras. Sin duda, una estancia corta pero muy agradable. ¡Muchas gracias por todo!

El jardín interior es un oasis en la ciudad. Muy bueno el desayuno incluido. Muy amable el personal. Nos han ayudado para organizar la Van para Port Barton.

such great value for money. it was in a good location near everything we needed (food, massage, shops). the owner and her staff were all friendly and helpful. their garden was also a good place to hang out. and lastly their thoughtfullness in giving us a nicely packed sandwich to go when we checked out early,. i am so glad i found this place. would definitely atay here again

El jardín y el trato del personal.

Habitación muy básica, no hay enchufes ni interruptores de luz al lado de la cama, el aire acondicionado hace muchísimo ruido. No hay presión de agua en el baño, hay que ir llenando el agua en un cubo… Ah el desayuno son huevos revueltos, el café o el té se paga a parte, sin fruta ni zumo.

It was a nice little oasis in a convenient location of town. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It was just as advertised and a very good value

Pension de famille très bien située (pas loin de l’aéroport mais au calme). Très joli jardin. Le confort est simple mais l’endroit est beau et agreable. Parfait pour faire une halte à Puerto Princesa avant de repartir.

The room was super spacious and the bed was nice! Everything was clean. The owner has been an absolute angel and made me a great breakfast and also helped me organise an airport transfer. I can’t wait to come back

Sehr gemütliche Unterkunft mit entspannter Atmosphäre. Ana, die Gastgeberin, war außergewöhnlich hilfsbereit, flexibel und herzlich. Der schön angelegte Garten lädt zum Entspannen ein — auch Essen und Zimmer waren hervorragend.

Das Zimmer war etwas hellhörig, es hat mich aber nicht gestört.

Since its a hut its understandable that facilities are old and some were worn but its comfortable and quiet. You can rest peacefully after island hoping or a tour

Es un lugar hermoso, con un jardín hermoso, súper tranquilo para descansar luego de nuestro viaje a Balabac. Ana es muy amorosa y atenta a todo lo que necesitamos. Volveremos!

Très bon logement, le cadre est très agréable avec beaucoup de plantes, le personnel est très gentil et serviable, les chambres sont spacieuses

La salle de bain mériterait peut être une rénovation, et une boisson inclue dans le petit déjeuner serait un +.

bon rapport qualité prix, les petits dej étaient bons, le petit jardin est vraiment magnifique, c’est agréable.

Ich habe vor und nach meiner Reise nach Balabac jeweils eine Nacht bei Anna in der Lokal Hut verbracht. Anna's Serviceanspruch, Hilfsbereitschaft und Grosszügigkeit war ausserordentlich. Sie hat mich sehr dabei unterstützt, mein kaputtes Mobilephone reparieren zu können und war extrem flexibel für meine Ankunft und Abreise, netterweise hat sie sogar mein Gepäck während meines Aufenthalts in Balabac aufbewahrt. Hervorzuheben ist auch der wunderschöne Garten innerhalb der Unterkunft, alleine dafür lohnt es sich einen Nachmittag dort mit einem Buch und ihrer feinen hausgemachten Calamansi Limonade zu verbringen. 100% Empfehlung dorthinzugehen. Friendly and helpful staff, drink on arrival. Room has everything you need and is clean enough. Breakfast started at 7 but because we were getting picked up at 7, they arranged our breakfast for 6.30 so we didn’t miss out.

Walls quite thin, can hear neighbours easy. Shower pressure was awful, non existent really.

It’s only 20mins walking from the airport and very close to the center of the city, very convenient for traveling. The ambiance is very cozy and chill which is a big contrast to the hustle atmosphere of the city. The price is reasonable and it includes the breakfast. The host Ana is very helpful and cheerful. We like everything about the place and will definitely come back for our next trip.

Very honest & accomodating - when we check-in they were honest that the room assigned for us has some walls in the bathroom not yet fixed. In the end, we sticked to the assigned room since bathroom was usuable and we stayed only for one night. We also tried the Palawan brewed coffee (too bad we didn't buy some to bring home).

It's not that we don't ike but we also already mentioned to the property to check the loose socket - also for safety of future customers.

A green Oasis in the middle of Puerto Princesa with the most welcoming hosts. They had my room already ready for me when I checked in early after my liveaboard, so I could have a good rest. Had a lovely chat with the owner, they all have all their heart in this project and it shows.

Room was a tiny bit warm

Communication was super smooth from the moment I booked this place, Ana helped me to arrange airport pick up and tour to the underground river, and helped with restaurant recommendations. The place looks like a green oasis with a beautiful garden, rooms are spotless and comfortable. Lots of common space to hangout, and breakfast is outstanding. Tons of good restaurants within 5min of walking. Staff are amazing and kind.

Even though we were there for one night, the staff were amazing, very welcoming, they offered assistance when caught in heavy rain and helpful when we had an extremely early check out. Very convenient location for the airport and the grounds are very peaceful.

The shower was very weak, but this was the only downside

Very central, local and simple design, nice garden, very good breakfast and a welcome drink (non-alcoholic). Very friendly sraff.

AC was a bit loud, because it was a very simple one. The light in the main room is too cold to offer a nice ambiente. Despite a modern heater, I was not able to get warm water from the shower. Also, there were no shower gel and shampoo provided in the bathroom. The window is not close. Therefore, you have the choice between daylight and inefficient air condition or no daylight but efficient air condition.

Very quiet at night no dogs,roosters or traffic noise. Anna the owner is incredibly kind and helpful. She arranged onward transport and our Whalesharks trip ( where we were incredibly lucky to swim with them 5 times), there were only 5 of us and 2 researchers on the boat and we were the only boat out there. ( We were booked with Dolphin and Whalesharks tours)

Limited dinner menu, however Anna will happily recommend local restaurants

Perfect place to stay close to the airport but also shops and restaurants while still quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially when I wasn’t feeling very well. Major plus to have breakfast included which was delicious. Good sized room and bathroom with comfy bed

The staff was very kind and helpful, they helped me with suggestions. Anna is a lovely person. They have a good breakfast and the house have a bunch of plants, so it's a nice place to relax. Very close to the airport, I walked to take my flight.

The bathroom wasn't very clean and there was a lack of water pressure.

We received such a warm welcome from the staff at Lokal Hut, nothing was too much trouble and they assisted with everything from picking us up from the airport to arranging transfers to Port Barton. The property was very clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay!

A Ana foi uma super anfitriã. Adaptou os horários do nosso café da manhã com o horário dos tours. Os funcionários são super atenciosos e educados. Vale o custo benefício. Localização boa.

Achei os quartos pouco cuidados e não muito limpos, mas de forma geral tudo ok.

The location off the main road reduced noise a lot. It is right next to the Best Western but far better value! The BnB is built around a garden courtyard which reduces the heat - I particularly liked the little lettuce garden! Clean drinking water was available - I never had to buy water once in the country, which was a big surprise to me! The staff were exceptionally friendly and I enjoyed my lengthy conversation with them after checking out.

Very cozy and friendly atmosphere, you feel like you are part of the local hut family during your stay. Perfect location to explore the nearby main street with restaurants etc. by foot.

The showers could have more pressure and the hot water system could be improved - but actually that is almost everywhere the case on Palawan.

Die Toilette war nicht dicht, das kann mal vorkommen. Das Personal entschuldigte sich umgehend, die Reparatur konnte jedoch erst einen Tag später vorgenommen werden und wir waren ja nur eine Nacht dort ;-)

Very nice, beautiful architecture, wonderful garden, rooms and bathroom very clean and comfortable. All staff so nice, friendly and helpful. Location in a very quiet area (side street), but very close to restaurants, pubs, ATM, shops. Baywalk with lovely fish dishes not more than 20 min walking distance. Would always recommend this hotel, indeed I booked again later in April 2026.

Je n’ai même pas les mots pour décrire mon séjour, Ana - la gérante de l’établissement - est un ange tombé du ciel. Je devais rester moins longtemps mais mon séjour à Balabac a été décalé, Ana a tout fait pour me trouver une chambre afin que je reste une nuit supplémentaire. Les chambres sont spacieuses, calmes et très jolies 🪻 L’établissement est à 5 min en voiture de l’aéroport et à proximité de tout. C’est d’ailleurs idéal si vous allez à Balabac car les agences préfèrent les hôtels à proximité de l’hôtel pour le pickup en van. Ils servent également un excellent petit déjeuner donc n’hésitez pas à y passer le matin même si vous n’y dormez pas !

Excellent place for an overnight stay. Full of character and ‘rustic charm’ The facilities are basic but the staff offer a 5 star service, helpful and friendly. Loved the atmosphere of this little place. Beautiful garden area. Close to local bars and restaurants. Water coolers available too.

It is basic but what can be expected for £26 per room? Absolutely fine for our overnight stop and would happily stay there again.

Superbe accueil de la part des hôtes et des petits chats ! 🥰 Le logement est calme, très bien situé, à proximité de restaurants et de la route principale mais loin de l'agitation. Le logement est correct mais dans son jus, notamment la salle de bain.

Adorei a forma como me receberam... Uma simpatia impossível de esquecer. Fizeram um pequeno almoço mais cedo, uma vez que tinha transfer marcado cedo. Avisaram-me que o quarto em budget não teria água quente antecipadamente. Falei imenso com a Anna e foi um gosto conhecer este cantinho, tão pinturesco e simples... Perto do aeroporto e bons restaurantes. Recomendo vivamente!

Ontbijt: prima. Locatie: dicht bij alle faciliteiten. De tuin was heerlijk rustig. Andrea is een schat van een mens en het overige personeel was ook heel behulpzaam, vriendelijk en relaxed. Wakker worden met alleen het geluid van vogeltjes.

Douche had beter regelbaar kunnen zijn.

Close to Tataboom where we went for some music. Beautiful garden. Fabulous breakfast. (It's only a few minutes by car to the airport for visitors).

We lucked out in the evening because it was the cooks night off, but there are plenty of other eateries close by.

Questo B&B ci é piaciuto tantissimo! Camera semplice ma dotata di tutto, il giardino é carinissimo curato e piacevole una perla al centro della città! La posizione ottima ma il pezzo forte è la signora alla reception! Super gentile, disponibile come sentirsi in famiglia!! Purtroppo abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte per poi scendere a BALABAC, ci ha preparato la colazione ed è stata stupenda! Super consigliato
