Reviewed Sep 13, 2026Sehr netter Empfang. Die Lage sehr,sehr schön. Sehr viel Platz in den Schlafzimmern mit angrenzendem Bad und die Betten sehr bequem. Der Aufenthaltsraum mit Küche komfortabel und gemütlich. Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Aufenthalt. Wir können nur empfehlen Und in Oudwater ein sehr gutes Restaurant entdeckt. "Hex by Paul und Inge" Kulinarisch sehr hohes Niveau
Es gibt nichts Ausser man ist nicht gut im Treppensteigen. Die Treppe zu den Zimmern ist etwas steil.

Sommige oplossingen voelden wat ‘onpraktisch’ zoals verdeling kook- en eetgerei over diverse laden en plekken en de wasbakken waar je, zonder washandje, niet je gezicht in kunt wassen.

Escalier vers l'étage très raide. Pas de toilettes au rez-de-chaussée. Très chaud en été.

Reviewed Jul 5, 2026Hermanus is a great host and we felt all the time very comfortable in this nice renovated farm house. It's very good equipped and located in nice green farm area - still in close distance to a next town. Very good starting point for different kind of tours in the region.

Helaas was het door het extreme warme weer ook in de boerderij ontzettend warm, waar niet..De 2 ventilators konden dit helaas niet verkoelen.

Reviewed Apr 22, 2026The location is very rural and quiet - perfect for relaxing - but only 10km from Gouda (and a couple km to a supermarket). The accommodation is very comfortable and quirky. The area is great for cycling, with Gouda, de Haar Castle, Kinderdijk and Utrecht all within reach for day trips.
The stairs to the bedrooms (upper floor) are steep. It wasn't a problem for us, but might be an issue for some.

Reviewed Apr 12, 2026A stunning property and a wonderful host. The villa itself is so comfortable and atmospheric that it feels like living in a fairy tale. The host looked after us so well and was always ready to help; the villa is home to a whole menagerie of animals, including kangaroos, parrots, a peacock and other birds and creatures. Highly recommended.

Reviewed Sep 18, 2025Emplacement parfait, dans les polders, très calme, entre Gouda et Utrecht. La maison est vaste, avec un rez de chaussée et un étage pour les chambres. L'hôte, Hermanus, est très sympathique et toujours prêt à aider. Un endroit où on aimerait revenir !
L'escalier qui mène à l'étage est un peu raide et pourrait poser un problème aux personnes agées.
