HABITAS RHINO BY NATURE HUNT

What I liked most is that it doesn’t feel like another hotel that has been built in the middle of nature. With so many new buildings and hotels coming up around Kaziranga, this place has managed to blend in beautifully with its surroundings. It’s quiet, green and peaceful. You wake up to birds chirping, surrounded by greenery, with hardly any noise around. There’s something really calming about just sitting there and doing nothing. You actually feel connected to nature here rather than just looking at it from a hotel window. A big 10/10 for the property and the way it has been designed to coexist with nature. Definitely one of the more peaceful stays I’ve had .

Stayed here for a night on our way to Upper Assam. Quiet and peaceful. Absolutely what we were looking for.

Really enjoyed our stay at Habitas Rhino. The property is beautiful and peaceful, and being so close to nature makes the experience special. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent, especially the Assamese dishes. The whole stay felt relaxed and well organised. Would definitely recommend it if you're visiting Kaziranga.

Our stay at Habitas Rhino was a fantastic time. All four of us that stayed have said its been impossible to beat the weekend we had at anywhere else we've stayed since. The site is beautiful and nestled in the middle of a quiet tea estate. The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable: they helped find our cash to pay our uber, planned our itinerary, and Aluwin took us on a beautiful early morning walk through the tea gardens and up the neighbouring hills, giving us binoculars for bird watching and treating us with such kindness, care, and respect. Due to it being off season, Sam gave us an extra room for free and also organised our travel onwards with his personal driver to avoid any complications with uber. The people that work there are good people and care for you as fellow humans, not just clients. The food is also fantastic: a wonderful free breakfast and amazing flavours in each dish. Again, the price and taste we haven't found rivalled anywhere else. We had an amazing time and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone else looking to stay in Kaziranga - we all hope we can visit again!

It's honestly very hard to think of what could have been better: anything we needed we simply asked for and they got it for us.

Stay was nice, but food was not good

Location and proximities to the Kaziranga Orchid and biodiversity park and the Kohora central is very convenient for tourist. Property is surrounded by green sprawl tea garden named Diring TE.

Very limited option for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were served Dal, aloo bhaji and chicken curry in each meal. The Restaurant and Kitchen incharge Mr. pramod Deka offered us the same repetitive menu whenever we ordered meal. It seems Mr. Pramod is reluctant to serve us good food . Other staffs are very good and helpful .

Such a special place tucked between vast tea plantations and at the center of nature. At night, fireflies light up the garden.

Nothing

This stay was surrounded by tea gardens and had a superb location. The staff were very kind and helpful, and the food was excellent. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

nothing

Very clean and good restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. Individual cottages with outdoor seating area. Very peaceful. Good fan. Property only 3 yrs old.

Very cozy cottages. The staff is very helpful. The restaurant serves excellent dishes.

The food, hospitality, warmth of the staff, the grounds, the surrounding peaceful nature, close proximity to the national park. The staff are so friendly, warm, helpful and kind. The food was fresh and tasty. The sound of the birds in the morning was incredible and we loved the pretty flowers in the gardens. I would definitely come back!

Wilderness

Menu was limited

My partner and I stayed at Habitas Rhino by Nature Hunt and found it to be a tranquil retreat. Set just far enough back from the road, it feels peaceful and removed without being isolated. The accommodation is thoughtfully spaced out which gives a real sense of privacy and connection to nature. Service was excellent.

good location quit and feel jungle stay with nature

location and peaceful stay away from heavy city sound

Overall, the resort is very good. The staff behavior was excellent, very polite and helpful. The room was clean, with fresh bedsheets and a well maintained bathroom. The entire room is made of bamboo, which beautifully reflects traditional Assamese culture and gives a unique stay experience. The resort also arranges jeeps for jungle safari, which is quite convenient. The jeep driver cum tourist guide was polite and well knowledgeable, making the safari enjoyable. The food at the resort was good and reasonably priced. One small drawback was that basic amenities like toothbrush and toothpaste were not provided in the room. Also, the jeep charges for the jungle safari felt a bit expensive. From my side, I give 5 out of 5 stars to the staff and 4 out of 5 stars to the resort.

After traveling India for over a months this place was so relaxing, quiet and peaceful. We liked the fact that you could just go out the back gate and walk around in nature and through little villages for hours. The staff was really friendly, helpful and they arranged a great safari for us. Our bungalow was very cosy, clean and aesthetic. We would definitely come back!

Stayed at Habitas Rhino for 2 nights. The room and the property were extremely clean. The staff members were very helpful from the time of booking until the time we left. Samiran and Bibek helped us with a lot of information about kaziranga to plan our itinerary better. Pranjal from the marketing team was extremely attentive and made our stay comfortable. Alwin helped us with our transport to the next destination. Booked all 4 of our safaris through Habitas and our driver/guides - Biru and Tilok were extremely knowledgeable. We also had all our meals at the property and everything felt like a home-cooked meal. Would definitely recommend staying at this property in Kaziranga.

All was good room was awesome, atmosphere was superb

No tv in room .

Excellent staff

Amenities, many items on food menu unavailable. Food average.

Good food and very courteous staff.

環境優美，員工親切且用心

Perfect location

It’s simple, serene, and perfect for slowing down, listening to the wilderness, and reconnecting with yourself.

The food was fresh, wholesome, and had a lovely homely touch. Since the season hadn’t fully started, not everything from the ethnic menu was available. Still, we did come across some amazing dishes cooked in bamboo, with herbs and ethnic leaves that felt truly traditional. I’d say Assamese food here is among the best I’ve tried. To really soak in the peace, tranquillity, and beautiful surroundings, it’s worth staying at least two nights.

We had a wonderful stay at this resort. The location is excellent—close to the Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park—and surrounded by peaceful tea estates. The backyard opens up to endless views of tea gardens and hills, offering complete serenity and quiet. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well maintained, with clean washrooms and quality toiletries. Everything worked perfectly. The staff were warm, courteous, and always ready to help, making us feel welcome from the very beginning. Evenings were magical, especially with fireflies lighting up the surroundings. The food was excellent too, and the Assamese dishes were absolutely delicious. Overall, it’s a beautiful place to relax, unwind, and reconnect with nature.

Very clean. Value for money.

Very well organised and efficient staff.

Clean, very well mannered staff, prompt room service

Clean, well mainted property with Courteous staff

Fabulous staff, location, and facilities. They helped arrange all the safaris and programming. Kitchen also served delicious food.

- Great atmosphere - Great staff - Beautiful rooms - Clean rooms - Great selection of local cuisines

- The only minor inconvenience was that there was no intercom in the rooms, and we had to call the reception from our phones, which was an issue because there was poor connection inside the forest

Friendly staff with a restaurant that cooked excellent local food. While it is situated in a residential area and tea plantations, it is a 15 mins walk to the Orchid Park and a short drive to Kaziranga Nature Reserve. Hotel can help organise safaris and transport. Wifi was good.

Beautiful location , very friendly service , good food

The staff were so friendly and helpful. Aluwin specifically helped set up all my safaris and was an amazing guide. He also picked me up and dropped me off for buses and helped organise some excursions to local attractions. The room was clean and furnished nicely. Food was priced fairly and very tasty and they had options for local food to try.

Nothing, the stay was perfect. I may not have seen a tiger but my guide and driver tried incredibly hard to make it happen and found every other animal there seemed to be in the park.

helpfulness of staff, specially of Aluwin - his knowledge of birds and their trademark calls is incredible and made the early morning walk a real treat. Dinner was excellent - the young lads are doing a fantastic job and their home made pickle selection was superb. The setting is fabulous and one of the very few places in the world where fireflies can be seen flitting about in the dark night.

wish that other travellers could switch off the lights on the porches at night so that the dance of the fireflies is the showcase of the cool evenings and the stars in the dark sky shine even brighter. Maybe management can change the lights to sensor lights so that guests do not leave the lights on all night.

Very nice hotel, with beautiful bungalow Food is good and people are nice

Bamboo cottage, prompt service and hotel serenity

No indoor activities for kids and food needs improvement

We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our time in Habitas Rhino. The food is really tasty (I loved the local morela juice and pickles), the rooms comfortable, and it’s a great location - close to safari and to the Orchid park where you can watch really nice performances in the evening. The Nature trail is absolutely amazing! We went for both sunset and sunrise, for bird watching (thanks Aluwin!) and it was one of the biggest highlights of the entire trip to Assam and Meghalaya. So calm and picturesque! The staff is also great, very welcoming.

Nothing I can think of

Habitus Rhino is a great little stay in the kaziranga national park. While the cottages are basic, they're more than adequate for the price that you pay and the staff are extremely attentive and helpful and I couldn't recommend it more for travellers on a budget.

I don't have any complaints. The only suggestion I would have is to use fitted sheets for the bed rather than flat sheets as I had to refit the sheets quite a few times when they came out of place!

Habitas Rhino by Nature Hunt is such a peaceful spot. Surrounded by tea gardens, the vibe is calm and refreshing. The bamboo cottages are cozy, clean and give that rustic feel. Staff are super friendly and make you feel at home. Food is homely and tasty, loved the local touch. Evenings here are beautiful – quiet, breezy, and full of stars.

Beautifully designed, eco-friendly rooms with breathtaking views. Comfortable beds, serene ambience, and thoughtful details made the stay relaxing and memorable. A perfect blend of luxury and nature.”

I don’t usually write reviews, but our stay at Habitas Rhino by Nature Hunt was truly special. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a peaceful retreat in the heart of nature. The bamboo cottages are cozy, eco-friendly, and beautifully designed to blend in with the surroundings. What really stood out was the hospitality. Bibek and Aluwin made us feel like family—not just guests. They even surprised us with a candlelight dinner under the stars, which felt genuinely thoughtful. The food was another highlight—fresh, homely, and full of flavour. The Assamese thalis were amazing, and breakfast was simple yet perfect before our morning safari. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped for a rustic stay. We appreciated the extra blankets and thoughtful touches like a space to dry our clothes. Safaris were seamlessly arranged by the team. If you're visiting Kaziranga and want something peaceful, personal, and grounded in nature, this place is perfect. It’s not flashy—but it’s authentic, warm, and memorable.

Room was very clean and Cosy.. The staff was very warm and co-operative.

Good stay

Location is very nice. (If you are planning to visit the Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park, then this within couple of KMs) Rooms are well kept and washrooms were clean. Good quality toiletries provided. Everything in the room worked! The staff is very cordial and helpful. Food was very good and always fresh! There is no TV, so you will be forced to become friends with nature/books etc. Also, there is a nice tea garden at walking distance!

Because the food is prepared fresh every time, there is considerable delay. But that is something you can accept since you get quality food.

The place was amazing, the staff is very helpful and the food is great. The rooms are huge and clean and the property is beautiful.

The location was good and so much connected to nature. We could see lot of fireflies in the night. The place is well maintained and clean

Limited option for food

The serenity of the place and the cleanliness is the first thing that touched us..Next was the hospitality and behaviour of the staff, just home like,They made sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, A special mention for Aluwin and Bibek who made sure our Jeep and Elephant safari was well arranged nd smooth.....Loved every part of it, Value for money for sure ....Will love to visit this place next time again. Kaziranga if you want to visit look no further, Habitas Rhino is the perfect place to be...Made great memories ..Blessings to each and every team member of the Habitas Rhino who have built a standard for everyone else . Have a great day.

They are very helpful for my late check-in. The room is very clean and spacious. They have a in house restaurant that serves great food and options! Nice surroundings for great walk. The location is good, with a walkable distance to the Orchid and Biodiversity park. The stuff is very friendly and always makes sure everything is good.

If other guests from the neighboring room talk loudly, they can be heard.

Good property. A place to click good pictures with family

They did not accept cards at all. Not sure whether it was excuse or something, but I wanted to pay via card and they did not accept any (Visa, Mastercard, Dinersclub or Amex) which was very disappointing

Very friendly and helpful staff, good food and fantastic ambience in a bucolic setting. Well located for rhino safari, and away from the hustles and bustles of towns.

The bed is very soft and poor quality.

Excellent location. Rooms are specious and clean. All the staff members are cooperative and helpful. Food was super delicious. We enjoyed camp fire at night. I will definitely consider staying here again whenever i visit kaziranga. Value for money.

The Breakfast was ok

I havepaid the Bill of the room via credit card. I told the Front office to create the invoice on my business firm address. I provided the GST Details also .I am yet to receive the payment invoice from them . Please tell them to send the GST Invoice on thakursamir@rediffmail.com

Good

Everything about the property, location, comfort, cooperative staff, food & the Vibe. Its awesome.Just Go for it.

The Accommodation is very nice and in a quiet area! The place is clean and the rooms are spacious - we found everything we needed! The staff is very friendly and caring. Special thanks to Aluwin, who was always there for the guests and their needs - very friendly and caring person! The food is freshly cooked and tastes excellent- has the special Assam taste! You can book your safaris directly at the place and if you are lucky, Aluwin will accompany you on your visit to the Kaziranga Nationalpark! We highly recommend the place and would return any time.

Please note, that their is no card payment option at this place for foreigners (Creditcards etc. are not accepted there). That is the only point I want to mention as negative - due to check out problems that will occur if you haven’t enough INR in your wallet. So bring your cash :) Other then that, everything is perfect!

Beautiful place! Service is amazing, shout out to Aluwin who made sure we had everything in order, he accompanied us on the two safaris we did and had the best knowledge of spotting animals. Rooms were clean (very clean) and new, toilets and hot water were clean. And food was great. Had the tribal meal and Assamese delights. Didnt have to leave the resort at all. Kudos!!! Hopefully we will be back to see the tigers :)

NIL

Very peaceful location. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff, particularly Aluwin. Food in the restaurant was delicious. Organised 3 great safaris in the Kaziranga.

Advertised as taking card payment but didn’t work for foreigners. Hot water doesn’t last very long. Minor inconveniences but would stay again.

Cleanliness, staff and location

Pretty much everything was just great. No complains

very nice clean and comfortable rooms

shower could have been better (main shower head didnt work and not enough hot water)

I had a wonderful stay at this lodge. The rooms were spacious, very clean and with good bed and shower. The food in the restaurant was good. The staff and the owner helped me with arranging everything and were very kind! I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone visiting kazaringa!
