Das Hotel ist so liebevoll und kreativ eingerichtet. Die Lage ist ruhig und zentral. Wir haben diesen Mix aus Hostel und Hotel total genossen. Überall gibt es etwas zu entdecken. Unser Bett war himmlisch bequem.

The location was very convenient for exploring Lisbon, with many interesting places and viewpoints within walking distance. The property has a charming old-style design and was fine for our two-night stay.

The room looked better in the photos than in reality. Some furniture and design elements felt worn and could benefit from maintenance and more thorough cleaning. The shower and toilet were very small, which may be uncomfortable for larger guests. Overall, the property would benefit from a refresh.

De la habitación que olía muy fuerte a humedad. Bastante ruido tanto en el exterior (calle con mucho movimiento) como dentro del complejo (pisadas del suelos, cañerías,...) El complejo avisa de este hecho pero lo hace una vez hecha la reserva, creo que lo honesto sería hacerlo antes para poder tenerlo en cuenta antes de reservar.

Beautiful location, very quiet. Waking distances to all the great attractions and town of Lisbon. Lots of Cafes and restaurants close by to walk to. Beautifully arranged and interior great.

The balcony floor area was a bit sticky, could benefit from a clean, otherwise peaceful to sit outside on the deck. More comfortable chairs would benefit also.

Se escucha todo, hasta la alarma de madrugada de las personas alojadas en la habitación continua. Se escuchan todos los pasos en el pasillo. Y si llaman a otra puerta se escucha tan fuerte que crees que están llamando a la tuya.

I had a lovely stay at The Indy House! The hotel is very charming, with a beautiful and stylish interior. The location is quite convenient, and overall, I think it offers great value for money. I really enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend it!

Umywalka mikroskopijna, trudno zmieścić nad nią jednocześnie obie dłonie. W gorące noce brak klimatyzacji dał się odczuć.

Lovely place with many shared spaces like library, kitchen, living room, garden... You can also leave luggage there for few extra hours on a day of leaving.

Shower pressure was incredible. Comfortable bed Requests made prior to booking for iron honoured. Easy access instructions.

Suggestions of charges for needing any additional toilet paper. Room quite small, only one pillow per person. As other reviews state it is quite noisy - if someone flushes the toilet in the night you'll know about it!

There wasn't anything that I iked

The advertising for this property shows a bright, colorful atmosphere with offbeat furnishings. The reality is completely different. I was greeted with a musty smell on opening the main door. The entranceway has a mishmash of old objects, with a dark unlit hallway to the left. The right leads to a musty common area with old books and couches, which opened onto a courtyard with green mossy walls and a few odd chairs. The decor on every floor boasts old toilet bowls used as planters. The lift only went up to the 5th floor, although the plan showed that a rooftop was above it. The area is a bit dodgy and as females travelling together, I knew it would be risky returning at night. I would not recommend this place for the above reasons, particularly the deceptive advertising.

O quarto era ok, nada do outro mundo. Bom para desenrascar uma noite, que foi o que precisámos.

Como portugueses compreendemos que o hostel fica localizado numa parte da cidade que, embora seja central, é super turística e totalmente descaracterizada. Estacionamento é praticamente impossível, é preciso andar horas às voltas. Fica numa zona de imenso tráfego, portanto chegar a qualquer lugar de carro a partir dali é um pesadelo. Não tem muitos transportes à mão, é preciso conhecer a cidade para encontrá-los facilmente. A zona é super suja. O processo de check in é conveniente mas demonstra bem o quão impessoal é toda a experiência: não vimos ninguém nem à chegada, nem ao sair. O edifício embora tenha sido minimamente requalificado, não está em boas condições. É uma tourist trap autêntica. Para contexto, só fiquei neste sítio por conveniência muito específica para o que ia fazer. Nunca ficaria neste sítio para lazer.

Really clean. Liked the Lidl grocery nearby to buy cheap provisions. Very comfortable mattress. Close to tram and metro lines. Good water pressure in shower.

Confusing information about what to do with garbage in the room, was it going to be picked up or did we have to throw it out ourselves (I ended up throwing it out down the street). The "kitchen" had no stovetop/hob to cook anything so it could hardly be called a kitchen. I found accessing the location from below via Moldanado was easier than from above by the Lidl - less steep and more room to drag a suitcase.

We had such a lovely stay here. Super comfortable and clean rooms and loved the overall vibe and style of the place. We checked in quite late so didn't meet any staff but the check in instructions that we were given were super clear. Definitely would recommend staying here

Se encuentra en un barrio bastante peligroso, la ubicación nefasta. A las 19:30 teníamos que estar en la habitación porque hicimos el viaje dos chicas jóvenes, y no podíamos salir a la calle sin recibir miradas y comentarios desafortunados. El baño olía muy mal a todas horas a cañería y la puerta de la ducha estaba rota así que se salía el agua y mojaba todo. Además y lo más importante, la última noche que estuvimos nos intentaron forzar la puerta durante toda la noche (de dos de la mañana a cinco aproximadamente). Contactamos con el hotel y no recibimos ayuda ninguna. Llamamos a la policía y lo mismo. Fue tanto el susto que una de nosotras se orino encima porque casi consiguen entrar. La respuesta del hotel fue que no había personal que pudiera venir a ver lo que sucedía y que permaneciéramos dentro de la habitación. El problema es que la puerta era tan poco resistente que podrían haber entrado perfectamente. Nefasto. Adjunto foto de los pies de la persona que estaba fuera. Aterrador. Añadir también que se escuchan hasta las conversaciones de las otras habitaciones y no se puede dormir bien del ruido que hay. No lo recomiendo si eres de despertar fácil como yo. Me encantaría poner algo positivo del lugar pero ha sido uno de los sitios donde más insegura me he sentido y soy una persona que viaja mucho. Si estáis pensando viajar y vais a ir mujeres solas no lo recomiendo.

Stanza molto accogliente, letto comodo. La struttura mette a disposizione tappi contro il rumore per tutelare le persone più sensibili.

Le quartier est un peu ghetto, il n’y aucun personnel d’accueil, la douche n’était pas très propre et fuyait. Il n’y avait pas de véritable lavabo mais un lave main très étroit. Pour ouvrir la fenêtre et les volets il faut déplacer une table. Enfin, l’acoustique est plutôt mauvais, on entend beaucoup les voisins.

Easy to get to, easy to stay in. Comfortable beds and consistent temperature for the AC and the shower. Not massive rooms but exactly what you would need for a city break for 2 people. There is a nice lobby/communal area with free coffee and a balcony.

The bathroom had a bit of a strange smell that made us have to keep the door closed as we left or else the room would have the smell. Not the worst but just not ideal. The only other thing was that the wifi would not work in the room, again, not the worst because it would work in the communal area but a bit awkward

La struttura ha una buona posizione e ben servita dai mezzi.

Le camere necessitano di un po’ di manutenzione, soprattutto le zone comuni e i bagni. Il lavandino è veramente troppo piccolo e si sente molto l’umidità.

Great location near metro, bus, Lidle, miradouro (city watch terrace). Quite stylish in loft / XIX c style, but with modern fridge, oven, clean bathroom and shared garden with tables. Air conditioner was a life-saver for 36 C heat. Unusual entry, unusual stairs decorations. We did not use shared rooms. one below is truly a "salon" (could be useful for bigger company) and kitchen above (had in the room) but they were cosy. 3-layers toilet paper is a pleasant difference from the others. Kitchen utensils are a full set of needs.

At night the curtains were passing some light; at home we have 95% black-outs; OTOH younger me had slept in dormitory so no problem really. At the toilet I was using narrow part of washing bowl for toothpaste and lacked a small shelf for shaving accessories.

Balcony floor was dirty of some drinks and sink too small with no sense, there is more room to place a more decent size. Pillows too much cheap and small.

L'assenza totale di personale che fa in modo che chiunque possa entrare come vuole senza che nessuno si preoccupi di quello che succede, come nel nostro caso persone ubriache che iniziano a urlare alle 6 del mattino fuori dalla nostra finestra. Il pavimento in parquet su un piano completamente irregolare che fa in modo che ad ogni passo si sentano forti rumori che danno fastidio sia agli inquilini che ai vicini (stessa cosa per le altre camere, basta dover andare in bagno di notte per svegliare tutti, sopra e sotto). L'odore di muffa e le macchie sulle pareti.

De locatie van het hotel was mooi gelegen in een rustigere straat achter de hoofdstraat. Makkelijk bereikbaar met OV of met een Uber. Met 10-15 mins lopen en je bent al bij de bezienswaardigheden van de stad.

Je hebt wel door dat het een erg oud gebouw is. De vloer van onze kamer was erg ongelijk en je hoort de buren erg veel.

The location is very convenient and the room was great. There's no staff, but the digital solution for accessing the building worked great - it just took a moment to figure it out. You however need to have internet access to do so. All in all, it was a very comfortable stay and I would definitely stay here again.

La posizione in città, non è specificato bene il luogo. Non era descritta bene la stanza, il bagno era troppo piccolo ed il pavimento molto rumoroso. Anche la stanza perché si sentivano tutti i rumori della struttura.

La estancia y la habitación tiene mucho encanto, la habitación es suficientemente comoda y la terraza/balcon de la habitación es un plus. Las zonas comunes del edificio tambien están bien.

La limpieza y mantenimiento de la terraza es muy mejorable, incluso despues de reclamar una limpieza los pies se pegaban en el suelo y seguia negro. Se ven humedades en el plato de la ducha y el mueble armario está deteriorado. El entorno, el barrio ha perdido el alma de barrio y todos los comercios o casi todos están cerrados o están orientados al inmigrante o a los turistas.

La struttura è accogliente e curata, sia gli ampi spazi comuni sia la singola camera. Abbiamo apprezzato sia la cucina in comune sia il grande soggiorno, con le macchine del caffè a disposizione degli ospiti. La struttura si trova in una zona tranquilla ed in una via silenziosa e non trafficata. Si raggiunge velocemente a piedi la metro vicina

Il bagno è molto piccolo ed il lavandino è minuscolo e di difficile utilizzo. La struttura si trova leggermente fuori dal centro ma è ben collegata con la metro. A metà del soggiorno, il meccanismo elettronico si accesso alla camera ha smesso di funzionare. Essendo di sera non era presente personale nella struttura, ho dovuto contattare il personale tramite whatsapp, le risposte erano però tardive e poco precise

Endroit très bien situé. À quelques minutes du métro et du tramway. Très très facile d’explorer la ville à partir de cet endroit. J’ai voyagé seule et j’ai toujours senti que j’étais en sécurité. J’ai été capable d’obtenir ma chambre beaucoup plus tôt, simplement en demandant. Le service à la clientèle a été exceptionnel! L’endroit est super propre et bien organisé. Les aires communes sont très agréables et super belles. Ma chambre était petite, mais très confortable. Tout était en ordre et super propre.

Personnellement, je n’ai pas été dérangée par le bruit. Mais on entend quand même bien le brout venant des autres chambres. L’édifice est vieux et cela fait partie de l’expérience, à mon avis. L’hébergement fournit des bouchons, si jamais le bruit est incommodant!

Location was central

The building is old and extremely creeky, you can hear all sort of things from rooms around you. For this reason I haven't got a good night sleep here. Im not a light sleeper but the noise from foot steps was exacerbated by the creeky floor that woke me up several times a night. I have 2 booking next to each other so I've asked to stay in the same room. They first told me no room was available but they will help me move between which is fine for me. Come the day today, when I asked again for the help to move, the agent available through Whatsapp said they don't have any staffs available to help. I wonder if this is just a bad company or the person on Whatsapp just didn't have customer service skill. I dont think my problem was that difficult to solve but over and over again they just refuse to help and not suggesting alternative. For a guesthouse they have been less than accomodating. I'd recommend people to stay away from this place if they like to sleep or don't want any trouble with moving room.

În perspectiva tuturor facilităților și prețului și în mod special al locației nu e ceva ce nu mi-a placut!

Didn’t sleep a wink due to the noise. Could hear everything inside and outside the hotel, toilets flushing, creaking floor boards, people walking down the street or flying down in cars. The shower was horrible as it was covered in mould. The sink was so tiny you couldn’t wash your face without flooding the bathroom. I also didn’t like the fact that there are notes all over the room threatening to charge you for things. Smoking (fair enough), if you accidentally check out with your key card, if you stain the bed sheets and if you stain the towels all get you a hefty fine.

I appreciated easy access with self-service checkin. The location was really good for us - public transport, supermarkets and different restaurants and shops were very close.

There were some little molds in the shower which I really don’t understand because otherwise it was all clean and neat. Also it would be nice to thoroughly clean the sofa and armchair because they were stained and smelled. Our stay was 8 nights and we coudln’t get more than one set of towels without a fee which is not fair to me compared to when someone pays for just a few nights…

Beautiful historic building in a well located area. The apartment was comfortable although the ceiling was very low. It had a kitchen and 2 bathrooms which made it very comfortable.

The neighborhood is a bit dirty and the shower always leaked on the floor because of the non waterproof curtain. Careful where you park if you have a nice car as we had ours broken into.
