Reviewed Sep 15, 2026Even though I only stayed for one night at Shey’s Travellers' Inn before heading back home, the experience was incredible! Shey is an exceptionally accommodating host. When I arrived late and public transportation was no longer running, she generously let me borrow her motorcycle free of charge so I could get dinner in town. on top of that, the accommodation was clean, cozy, and filled with respectful guests. I highly recommend Shey’s Travellers Inn to anyone visiting Camiguin!

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Location was awesome for the price. I woke up every morning to a view of the ocean. The common room was a lovely place to hang out and felt accommodating. The host was fantastic and the staff was friendly. I most enjoyed snorkeling the reefs right in front of the place in my free time.
Location is fine but it is outside of town and the only full restuarant is a decent walk on the road. A scooter is ideal for stays of more than a few nights to explore the island but you can also hop on the small jeepneys.

From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and comfortable—it genuinely felt like a second home. It’s also a perfect place for a workcation. I'm not used to walking the floor without slipper, so maybe provide some slippers inside the room and toilet. Water pressure is also slow and lastly the bed is not super comfortable.

Reviewed May 4, 2026Logement superbe. Le personnel est au petit soin, les lieux sont toujours propres. Le fait de dormir dans une chambre partagée n’était pas dérangeant du tout. C’était très agréable comme séjour ! Nous avons loué des scooters avec eux, tout était parfait.
Dommage que les fenêtres ne se ferment pas. Pour ma part j’ai un peu souffert du bruit qui démarre dès 5h du matin. Pas d’eau chaude dans les douches !

Reviewed May 2, 2026Toutes les personnes qui travaillent ici sont super gentilles et aux petits soins. Elles passent leur temps à nettoyer. Du coup c'est super propre et rangé (même un peu trop! On a 3 shorts avec des taches de javel maintenant !). La cuisine est très bien équipée. Il y a même des condiments. Nous avons eu la chambre twin pendant 4 nuits puis 1 nuit en dortoir. La twin est grande avec 2 lits de 120. Les murs sont en bois. Quand il y a des grosses vagues, on entend bien la mer et ça couvre les autres bruits. On a pu louer un scooter sur place à bon prix. Elles sont même venues nous l'apporter directement au port pour qu'on puisse arriver facilement.
Le matin on entend le bruit de la route dès 5h. Dans la twin, c'était pas trop gênant. Dans le dortoir c'est très fort. Les moustiquaires au dessus des lits dans la twin sont trop petites. Difficile de les faire tenir. La douche est pfroide et au baquet mais ce n'est pas un problème pour nous.

Large communal spaces to meet other travelers, comfy beds, good AC (in the private room), Filipino style bathrooms and showers (i.e. bucket and pail), but they do have one shower which I did not use, right on the water, quiet hours which were enforced, and lots of scooter parking.
You need a moped/scooter for this homestay, but for Camiguin in general (especially if you're solo traveling), you need a moped/scooter to properly explore the island and get around The WiFi was spotty, but generally ok. A separate eSIM is recommended for your phone.

The soft waves of the ocean really help me to calm and relax from busy city and release the stress temporarily. The staff are very accomodating. Soo grateful I found this place. I’ll make sure to come back whenever I’ve given another chance. As solo traveler this place is best recommended you can mingle with another Nationalities also. Reviewed Mar 27, 2026I booked Shey’s Traveller Inn in Camiguin for seven nights, and it turned out to be such a wonderful stay. The place was always incredibly clean, and the care put into maintaining it really showed. Abigail, Jay R, Eva, and everyone there were genuinely kind and welcoming. During my stay, I not only felt at home but also learned so much about Filipino culture, even picking up some Visaya along the way. On my last day, when my ferry got cancelled, Abigail kindly accommodated me for an extra night without hesitation. That small act meant a lot. I truly wish I had stayed longer. If I ever return to Camiguin, I would not think twice before booking this place again!!

Reviewed Mar 26, 2026Tout était parfait. Cette famille est si accueillante, bienveillante. Tout est extrêmement propre. Il y a tout à disposition dans la cuisine. Les lits sont confortables. En bord de mer. Les espaces communs sont agréables. Nous avons pu louer des scooters à moindre prix et ils ont organisé notre transport vers le port.
Rien sauf le manque d'insonorisation. Moi qui ai un sommeil léger, ce n'était pas toujours évident de bien dormir avec le bruit de la route devant. Pas d'eau chaude dans les douches mais comme souvent aux Philippines. Possibilité de faire chauffer l'eau à la casserole.

Reviewed Feb 24, 2026Everything about this place is just lovely. The check-in process was very smooth and the staff welcoming me were so friendly and helpful. They have a huge and very well equipped kitchen area (seriously - it's almost as good as my kitchen back home) and the entire property overlooks the ocean - sunrise from here felt like a scene from a movie. The rooms themselves are comfortable and spacious and have a very "traditional" aura to them yet satisfy all the needs of modern life such as electrical outlets and WiFi. You can catch a local tricycle from the town center to get here for just 20 pesos. They also rent scooters for just 350 pesos a day - which were in good condition and by far the best way to explore the island. I wanted to stay for longer but the place was fully booked (which makes sense). Would 100% come back here again!

La familia es increíble, la habitación compartida tiene camas dobles y son cómodas, el alojamiento es el hostel más limpio en el que he estado nunca, y los viajeros que coincidieron conmigo muy agradable. Además alquilan motos por un buen precio y tienes café y agua gratis. Recomiendo 100% este lugar.
La única pega el WiFi, que no funciona muy bien.

The homestay is comfortable with all the amenities you would expect -- including a well-equipped kitchen. Abigail and her family are amazing guests who anticipate any of our needs. And last but not least: this is the cleanest homestay I've ever seen in the Philippines. I recommend 100%!

The rooms are huge with comfortable beds and the private rooms have lovely decks with hammocks or outdoor seating. What really makes this place is the people who are delightful and go well out of their way to make everything perfect for you!
The shower pressure is a bit average but that’s likely just Camiguin!

Shey’s Travellers Inn offers breathtaking ocean view and the place itself makes you feel like you’re not away from home :) Ate Abeghail and Ate Alma ensures that you have the comfiest and amazing stay you’ll ever had in Camiguin. The place was clean, everything is in order and very good for solo traveler and friends on getaway. The common area is where you’ll meet a lot of fellow travelers and where everyone socialize and meet new friends. My favorite spot is the rattan hammock at the terrace veranda facing the ocean. You can just chill and spend hours listening to the calming sounds of the waves and watch spectacular sunrise and sunset. I’ve spent more than a week here and still I don’t want to leave. I also love the sweet cats playfully walking around the common area! Hospitality at its finest. Will surely come back to this hidden gem. Thanks Ate Abeghail and Ate Alma for all the good memories I’ve had here in Camiguin. Miss you and see you around :)

Reviewed May 20, 2025This place is perfect! First of all, the family is incredibly kind and welcoming. Honestly, it was one of my best stays ever. Even though Camiguin itself was just okay for me, this place made the whole experience amazing. I stayed in the dorm – but it doesn’t feel like a typical dorm. You get a big, comfy bed in a big room, with plenty of personal space. There’s a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook your own meals – just buy groceries and you’re good to go. Save a lot of money The place is super clean – they clean constantly, probably more than needed! I also rented a motorbike from them in a good price and great condition. The location is right in front of the beach, about 10 minutes driving from town. But honestly, there’s not much to do in town anyway, so it’s not a big deal. Summary: If you’re coming to Camiguin – YOU HAVE TO STAY HERE!

Don't select breakfast option when booking online. It only will raise your price, and doesn't appear anywhere in the receipt. Either that or it didn't actually charge me any extra? I dunno. 10/10 will recommend. Camiguin has a piece of my heart.
I thiught we paid for breakfast, but it was not included with the extra $6 when I checked the box. I guess it deferred to a standard rate after all. Nbd. I always wish philippines WiFi was better. And too much rain. But the veranda was nice, good friendly staff too. They have books available for many genres. Overall, a very pleasant place to be. Owners are responsive and hinest/trustworthy people. Not trying to take you for a ride.

The property is very clean and has great facilities. I was very appreciative of how equipped the kitchen was with its many pans/utensils, as I have missed cooking whilst being away! This is a great option for those travelling solo- the common areas are lovely and mean it’s very easy to meet people. Abigail kindly arranged a scooter rental for me, as well as my Tuktuk back to the airport. Thank you Abigail and family- I hope to visit again one day, you really made my trip!
