Reviewed Jun 29, 2025The homestay is located inside the ancient Xidi village. They picked us up in a small cart at the entrance of the village (since it is historic site you have to pay the entrance fee that you should pay anyway to explore the village). The checkin was very easy. The room was as you see in pictures. Everything clean and comfortable. The location is in the middle of the historic village, where you can reach everything by just walking. The village is beautiful and it is really a good idea to stay overnight to beat the crowds and experience the life during evening and morning. We used it as stop between villages after visiting yellow mountain.
The bed was a little bit hard for our taste, but not a big problem. English is an issue in these areas in China, so be sure to have a way of translating.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2025Centrally located in the ancient town of Xidi and easily walkable to the gardens and sights. Close to the lake where the 7pm light performances happen daily. Well maintained guest rooms with a functioning air conditioning which was important in summer. The hosts were sincere and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were traditional village dishes that felt homely!
