Reviewed Sep 19, 2026Sehr gepflegtes kleines Hotel im schönen Ort Urzelina. Schönes großes Zimmer, das täglich gereinigt wird. Sehr nettes Personal. Terrasse und Garten zum chillen und eine Küche zur Nutzung. Der Ausblick auf das Meer und Pico ist traumhaft , die Umgebung wunderschön, sehr gut gelegen um die Insel zu erkunden. Supermarkt und gute Restaurants um die Ecke und auch Bade und Schnorchelmöglichkeiten fussläufig.
Eventuell wäre ein Hinweis in der Küche sinnvoll, dass man Kochutensilien / Weingläser etc in die Spülmaschine räumt, wenn man sie nutzt. Das schien einigen wenigen Gästen nicht selbstverständlich.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026L'appartamento è bello grande e decisamente curato. Il proprietario ci ha lasciato un cesto di frutta che è stato particolarmente apprezzato. La camera è separata dalla cucina soggiorno. Appena siamo arrivati siamo rimasti colpiti e avrei voluto dare 10 per la struttura e l'ambiente. Anche l'esterno è bello e chiuso in un contesto con giardino e vista. la casa è molto vicina ad una passeggiata bellissima
L'enorme scarafaggio in bagno.... che ha condizionato il soggiorno e il giudizio.

Anche il bagno era pulitissimo, e lo staff è stato sensazionale: gentile, accogliente, estremamente disponibile. Gli spazi comuni erano tenuti in modo ottimo, puliti e spaziosi. La posizione poi era davvero ottimale, vicino a un piccolo alimentari e a pochi passi dall'oceano e dalla piscina. Ci dispiace esserci stati solo due notti!

La terrasse est merveilleuse avec sa vue sur mont Pico. Situé à 1 minutes à pied, une piscine, un petit bar en plein air, une mini épicerie et une cremerie. L’hôte et le personnel sont très accueillants. Tout était TRÈS propre. Bien situé

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026Casa D’Avo was fantastisch: Paula en Diana hebben ons uitstekend gesoigneerd, alles was piekfijn netjes en de koekjes waren overheerlijk. Ze gaven ons bovendien heel nuttige informatie over het eiland en regelden zelfs een taxi voor ons.
Een klein aandachtspuntje: het zou fijn zijn mocht de eigenaar zich af en toe even laten zien.

Küche zum Selberkochen, Kühlschrank, Geschirrspüler, u viele andere elektrische Geräte. Mikrowelle. Toller Garten mit tollen Blumen, alles sehr schön angelegt. Zum Wohlfühen super geeignet. Ein Laden ist auch gleich in der Nähe u hat gute Auswahl. Montags-Freitag kommt der Bäcker-Wagen gegen 09.10 mit frischen Backwaren 😋😋

A casa estava super bem equipada com tudo o necessário para confecção de refeições apesar de só termos utilizado a cozinha para o nosso pequeno-almoço. Localização do quarto perfeita para o jardim com uma vista fantástica do Pico! Cortesia de boas-vindas com uma cesta de fruta, uns biscoitos e café, pequenos pormenores que contam bastante na forma como são tratados os hóspedes neste alojamento e que foram muito apreciados. Amabilidade do Sr. Victor ao descontar-nos uma noite não usufruída por causa do nosso barco ter sido cancelado, o qual agradecemos mais uma vez desde já. Se algum dia voltar a São Jorge não hesitarei em ficar neste alojamento e ainda recomendar a amigos e familiares que queiram visitar!
Nada de relevante a apontar de negativo num todo, salvo umas pequenas obras de remodelação que estavam a decorrer nas instalações mas devo confessar que o barulho foi mantido a um mínimo. Das 3 noites que desfrutámos do alojamento só uma das manhãs é que notámos um pouco mais de barulho em relação aos outros dias!

Reviewed Oct 29, 2025Das Gästehaus ist wirklich sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit eigenem Bad und Terrasse. Der Ausblick auf das Meer und die Insel Pico ist atemberaubend, die Zimmer sehr sauber und bequem. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns für Wanderungen, Ausflüge usw. top beraten. Die Gemeinschaftsküche ist sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Es gibt eine (gratis) Kaffeemaschine, einen Wasserkocher, Herd, Geschirrspüler, Kühlschrank und diverses Equipment zum kochen. Jeden Tag bekommt man frische Eier und Obst zur freien Entnahme. Auf der Terrasse kann man den Sonnenuntergang beobachten. Definitiv einen Aufenthalt wert und klare Weiterempfehlung, die schönste Unterkunft auf unserer Azoren-Reise.

Reviewed Oct 28, 2025Super freundlich, sehr sauber, perfekt ausgestattet Küche, gemütlicher Außenbereich, atemberaubende Sicht vom Zimmer und Terrasse. Vor allem die groß ausgestattet Küche ist hervorzuheben, kostenfreies Obst, Kaffe, selbstgebackene Kekse und Tee.
Etwas zu warm im Zimmer, sind aber trotzdem mit Ventilatoren ausgestattet.

Une grande cuisine équipée et une grande terrasse avec vue sur Pico sont à la disposition des hôtes. La chambre n°1 a une vue sur Pico sans aucun vis à vis. Les deux personnes sui s'occupent de la maison sont charmantes et aux petits soins.

Reviewed Oct 4, 2025Traumhafter Blick auf den Pico. Das Zimmer ist sehr schön und sauber. Die Gemeinschaftsküche ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht und besitzt auch einen Geschirrspüler. Die Lage ist auch sehr gut da man von hier aus sehr gut in den Norden oder Süden kommt. Im Ort gibt es in der Nähe einen Supermarkt und gute Restaurants.

Reviewed Jun 15, 2025This place is amazing. The second you enter the place you feel like home. It is spotlessly clean, the bed is extremely comfortable and the room is very cozy. Everyone is extremely helpful and kind and tell you great places to go. Parking on the side of the building is possible or at a parking spot 2 minutes away by foot. The kitchen is super clean and extremely well equipped. There are eggs, fruits, cookies, tea and coffee waiting for every guest. Every room has its own cupboard to store stuff and numbers to mark belongings for the fridge. The garden and Terrasse are so beautiful and the view of the sea and Pico makes every meal special. We would 100% recommend staying there and would definitely come back. Thank you for making our stay on the Azores special!

The rooms and bathroom are clean, comfortable, and well-kept, offering full privacy, while the shared kitchen and terrace are spacious and thoughtfully designed – perfect both for relaxing on your own or, if you feel like it, interacting with neighbors. Everything is tastefully decorated and modern, and the kitchen truly feels like home. A lovely touch – fresh eggs and fruits. The town of Urzelina itself is beautifully maintained, with a scenic and well-developed cycling and walking path along the coast that stretches almost all the way to Velas Airport. Overall, we really enjoyed São Jorge Island and will definitely return.

The 2 lady housekeeping staff were lovely & very helpful with advice for restaurants & nice to chat with. Place was kept very clean & tidy. Kitchen fully equipped. Exceptional generosity with welcome treats: fruit, biscuits, fresh eggs, unlimited coffee/tea. Many comfortable options to sit & relax. Proper large fluffy towels. We loved our stay.
Only negative was the tight spaced bathroom.

The location is perfect – you get a stunning view of the ocean, the island of Pico, and the majestic Pico Mountain. The shared kitchen is very well equipped, making it easy to cook and enjoy meals. We also loved the lovely outdoor area, which is perfect for relaxing. The people at the guesthouse (host members) were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great tips and always ready to assist with any questions we had. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome and comfortable. I can highly recommend this place and am already looking forward to returning!

You could easily hear the people next door talking. The blinds are not so good and light came in quite early in the morning. But to be honest, it's fine. You should really enjoy s. Jorge right from the early morning! Parking spots on a parallel road to the guesthouse

We paid for breakfast but there wasn't!!! We only had access to a coffee machine. We asked a question about the check-in before arriving, but no answer was given.

Reviewed Jun 4, 2024Great accomodation in Urzelina with amazing view to Pico Island and a nice and large kitchen and common area. Fruit, fresh eggs, coffee, tea etc are provided. Very friendly staff, bathing spots and restaurants close by in walking distance.

Reviewed May 4, 2024What I liked the most was the space available for the clients. Large kitchen and large patio . The staff was polite, discreet and helpful. The cleanliness and the comfort of guests were a top priority for Victor who came to meet the guests several times. Very appreciated.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2023The staff is really friendly! It is great having access to the shared kitchen and there were self-made cookies available that were delicious. The view is great over the bay and onto Pico. It’s a calm area with several places to eat around and the local fishers just down the street fishing.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2023Beautiful space in a nice location, incredible view from the room, with a beautiful view on Pico, direct access to the garden. The kitchen is very well equipped (shared). The other guests are there but you do not basically realize. The bus stop is very close if one needs. Very pleasent experience. Very close to the airport also.
Obviously a bit more difficult to reach than other places on the island, otherwise perfect. A bit expensive.
