Please can I have my money back as I didn't get in nobody there no key👺
Don't book here anymore! The owner died a few month ago and the accomondation is somehow still online. I booked and paid two nights there from the 12-14. February, only to get informed by the neighbours, that the owner had passed away, which made me end up with no place to sleep and had to find a new one late in the evening in such a rural place..
we arrived and we were informed that is not renting anymore and we had to go away.
The location was exceptional, a little of how Ireland used to be. If you don't want remoteness go to Dublin or the Ring of Kerry, etc! The scenery here is wonderful, the locals friendly and our host is a lovely man.
The shower could be better! This was the only feature we felt could be improved, the pressure could be a bit better, but it was adequate.
מקום מקסים , בעל הבית דאג לכל למרות ששהה בחול , החדר מקסים .. תודה
הכל היה נהדר
Good internet connection, TV and a perfect heater.
During a enormous storm we suffer a blackout for a few hours, but it's totally understandable.
Bed was really comfortable.
Neighbours barking dogs. Not sure if they were owners or visitors but dogs were loose and barked a lot and there was a lot of dog poo left about. Dog owners should be respectful and pick it up and dispose of it. The road from Portnoo up to the place was awful and only wide enough for one car and didn't have any passing places. The turning into the road up to the property has a very tight hairpin bend into it. Would definitely need to do a 3 point turn to get into it if using a long or large car.
Thus was a wonderful place to stay. The location and area is just spectacular. The host Ronan & Neighbours are Amazing. Nicely situated between so many beautiful areas. A very central starting point without the hustle and bustle of a large County. There's a magnificent waterfall close by, beautiful beaches, fantastic pub and coffee house, a grocery store post office Wonderful Satff. All in all a magical experience. I was solo traveller But there is a beautiful apartment sleeps heaps 4 or 5 bedroom with spectacular views... Everything an extended Family or group if friends need. From the 2nd story the views are out of this world.
My negative would be some of the Billy goat tracks as road so tight on 1 way into Adara I was worried the Berry bushers and trees would scratch the rental car. Take Your time and You'll be Grand. Enjoy 😉
It was so tranquil Rowan was lovely we enjoyed every minute of our holiday, great view lovely beaches ⛱️😍
Absolutely nothing as couldn't find the place and the person on the other end of the phone was less than helpful
Location! Close to many nice beaches and historical monuments. The host is knowledgeable about the area. The accommodation is on the hillside, excellent views of the area including a lough.
Nothing
Roomy, quiet anddd had good entertainment.
The bed wasps squishy, hard to really get comfortable. Far from everything.
No shower no electric on Saturday morning Noisy dripping sound on flat roof at night.
What breakfast nó breakfast.
Cooker frying pan sugar should be covered no milk.
Self contained private studio with everything you may need for a comfortable stay. Very responsive host. No issues. Beautiful countryside location. The road to the property is quite narrow but manageable for a good driver. The views are fabulous. Walking distance to Rossbeg beach. Large white sand beaches of Narin and Portnoo are 7 minutes drive. The location is perfect, beauty all around. We cannot wait to be back. Entirely enjoyed our stay at the property.
Remote location m. Peace and quiet.
As others have said, the view is stunning and it's a great spot for a remote getaway. The room itself was immaculate, and the owner was friendly and happy to provide local recommendations. I spent a few days there but needed to work, and the WiFi was perfectly sufficient for everything I needed to do, including a few video calls. For those not comfortable with single-lane Donegal roads, approaching the property via Glenties to Portnoo will be less intimidating than going to Rossbeg via Ardara. But either way Google Maps genuinely does lead you right to the door. I'm looking forward to staying here again.
Closeness to Rossbeg and beautiful beaches
Couldn’t get used to the memory foam mattress, was difficult getting out of bed, but it didn’t spoil our overall stay. Could do with a light by the door/pathway as it was pitch black and had to be very careful approaching the door.
Very simple, and off the beaten track. All you need for a few days on the west coast would recommend
Lovely, very quiet, and peaceful. Just what the doctor ordered 😍
Great little self contained unit in a secluded location
Kitchenette could do with a sink
Lovely property, as described, plenty of room for us and our greyhound, really quiet remote though, nice and peaceful
Very nice and cozy a little bit away from life but peaceful
Materasso
The back end of nowhere! Just as we wanted. Very clean and basic. Very quiet. We enjoyed our stay.
Cooking facilities were a little sparce for anything more than a microwave meal or pot noodle.
😬 Soooo isolated
No lighting outside, step to room dangerous. Minimal facilities, Air b/b !!!!
Super self-contained accommodation more like an apartment. Strong WiFi and great TV, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer etc and beautiful views out over lake to coast. Peaceful aetting for quiet walks and proximity to stunning beaches.
Two huge dogs belonging to guest in room above bounding across our ceiling kept us awake.
Almost everything.
Bed isnt too comfortable. We had trouble sleeping. I think mattress needs to be changed. Coffee machine wasnt working.
The location was amazing for touring. Quiet, no neighbours and I could relax, which is what I neded
No contact with any owner/staff. Shower doors were unsafe as had come of runners
Nothing
It was in the middle of no where I didn't even stay when I got there I just went and booked into a hotel
Location was lovely
Beautiful part of the country, very quiet and peaceful area around house only the sound of the birds, you could make your own breakfast and lots of hot water and heating for the cooler evenings, close to Portnoo and only half hour to Dungloe, lovely time thanks you so much Ronan

Stunning area and views. Nature all around us. Wild.
Needed a sink other than bathroom. It's unhygienic to use bathroom for washing utensils. A hob would have been useful also. There is no shop or pub anywhere close by. The Dawros Hotel was closed. Had to drive everywhere to find a shop and a cafe. An outdoor sitting area would be nice here given the beautiful views etc. Property is on a height.
Great location. Peace and quiet. Great places to rest
Lovely place to explore more of Co Donegal
Very good price / quality ratio I recommend to people who want to spend in peace and quiet for the time The ocean is very close to 3 min by car Photo from the beach I highly recommend
No
Absolutely nothing!
The host (Ronan)
Head right from the lane then right at far end of the lake. Park beside the caravans and walk to the beach...head left and walk for miles. Magic.
Everything was great
Nothing
Even though it was very remote,it was exactly what we were looking for. It's quite easy to find if you have a phone.. Room was basic but sufficient for what we needed. Close to lots of gorgeous beaches. Narin and Portnoo only a 5 min drive away.
The room wasn't overly clean, cobwebs everywhere. Used cleaning sponges left around the bathroom, the hot tap in bathroom only trickles( a long standing issue) .The fridge needed a good cleaning. The bed was uncomfortable due to a memory foam mattress. A mattress like that is something it takes time to get used to. For short stays, a sprung mattress would be better. Noticed on final morning mould stains on the bed pillows. The outside has been neglected for some time also. As a whole, there is plenty of potential there, but still a lot of work to do to. It may feel as if these are all criticisms, but these are facts, and we hope the owner acts upon them to improve his business.
Ronan was lovely
very well equipped
shower was to small. better directions how to get there.
it’s in the middle of nowhere so if you want to get away and do nothing this is the perfect place. it’s got great views. there is a small kitchen which I wasn’t expecting with a microwave toaster coffee machine kettle and fridge. there was also tea coffee and sugar. there was a big tv with Netflix and Amazon prime a great heater and great wifi.
the driveway is scary. one side has the sharpest bend and the other side is so steep. it’s nowhere, there is only a small, well stocked to be fair, shop nearby. maybe in peak season there would be more things open but there was nothing when we went in October. the room was clean at initial glance but then I noticed there were cobwebs everywhere and dust and small things like that. I think it was probably cleaned after the last person some time ago but not before we arrived. the shower was tiny.
The room is self catering but needs a bit of TLC. Make sure to have your groceries bought because the closest shop is in portnoo. There's no restaurant close. If your looking for peace and quiet and a remote location it's a good spot.
Great price,it was warm and nice shower!Had fridge, microwave which was handy as we had our own food.
it was more like a little apartment than a room, with a large bed, sofa and coffee table; lot of facilities, microvawe oven, dishes, refrigerator and toaster, and internet tv. Beautiful, scenic and quiet location.
Difficult to find it. No signs or road signs. I had problems with the motorcycle on the damaged asphalt, with the risk of falling and a muscle tear in the arm to hold the vehicle. No direct contact with the staff.
Great views, nice big TV, separate room with all you need in it.
All good
If you appreciatie a unique building in a stunning location you couldn't find a better spot ..I'm looking forward to my next visit.
The accommodation was separate and it had a fridge, microwave and jug.
It was not very clean, hair on floor and toilet. Surfaces not clean. There was no spare toilet paper, no shower mat, hand wash was empty. strange things like one wine glass for two people.
