Reviewed Sep 5, 2026Tolles B&B mit einer supernetten Gastgeberin. Leckere Frühstücksauswahl (da braucht man einen guten Appetit). Die Halbinsel ist noch nicht so überlaufen, tolle Wandermöglichkeiten an den Kilkee Klippen, Baden in Gezeitenpools. Eine wunderschöne Gegend.

Check out is really early, you need to leave before 11 so if you like to sleep in, maybe it's not the greatest choice.

We could have done with a sheet on the bed as it was so hot but it would have been provided if we'd asked.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026Mary is the hostess wirh the mostess - the food was sensational and the room had a glorious view over her farm out to sea. She was so helpful and friendly - I wouldnt hestiate in reccomending the beautiful B and B.
The water pressure was just a little low and taxis are hard to get during the summer so driving is required.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026I had the nose fabulous stay at Glencarrig!! Mary was an incredible host, generous and kind. The home is gorgeous, quiet and surrounded by beautiful green grass. The breakfast as the best I had in all of Ireland - I would rate this 11 out of 10 if I could. Thank you!

Reviewed Jun 11, 2026La anfitriona es genial, muy amable y atenta, y una excelente repostera y cocinera. Además hace sus propias conservas. El desayuno, el mejor de todo el viaje. Además la casa está rodeada de árboles y es muy acogedora. Tiene un "salón de juegos" con una mesa de billar, y ahí están la kettle, tazas y vasos y la nevera común. Aparte hay un saloncito en la habitación de al lado.
La única pega que pondría es que el salón es un poco pequeño, y no pudimos usarlo porque ya había otros tres huéspedes allí ocupando ambos sofás. Por lo demás todo maravilloso!

Reviewed May 29, 2026Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Tolles Frühstück. Wundervolle Landschaft in der Umgebung, schöner Spazierfang nach Carrigaholt mit Castle und tollem Restaurant. In diesem Urlaub war es mit Abstand unsere beste Unterkunft.

Eigenlijk niets. Als je deze locatie boekt heb je of goed weer nodig of een auto. Heb je geen van beide dan is een stapel goede boeken echt noodzakelijk. In november is veel in de omgeving gesloten. Gelukkig had ik goed weer. En natuurlijk was Mary er.

Reviewed Oct 19, 2025The house is beautiful, with a view of the sea as well. It's more than a room, there is a sitting room and games room for guests as well. The host was extremely friendly and professional, and she cooked perhaps the best breakfast we'd ever had in a bnb. Highly recommended!

The room was adequate but the shower and toilet not really. There was no toilet lid and the toiletries had to be rested on top, so if you dropped anything you had it ! The toilet holder broke too. The sheets and towels were clean but almost a bit musty smelling as if the washing machine had a problem or maybe needed a different detergent ? The view was nice. Breakfast was plentiful and home made but not like the choice on the pictures.

Reviewed Sep 30, 2025We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Glencarrig. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Mary was a great host and kindly called a local restaurant to book us a table. This was much appreciated as it was a busy Saturday night, and the meal (at The Long Dock) was excellent. Breakfast was lovely, with a delicious granola, yoghurt and warm fruit to start, a great choice of cooked options to follow, and Mary's wonderful homemade bread and scones to finish. Bags were helpfully provided to take the scone away for later!

Reviewed Sep 13, 2025Ein B&B mit traumhaften Blick aufs Meer, eine sehr freundliche Gastgeberin, die ein super Frühstück frisch zubereitet, selbstgebackene Scones und Marmelade inklusive. Das Zimmer war okay, das Bad auch. Parkplätze genügend am Haus vorhanden. Es gibt auch einen Spielraum und ein Wohnzimmer, die von den Gästen der 3 Gästezimmer benutzt werden können. Eine schmale Straße von Glencarrig führt zu diesem B&B, wo auch Angeltouren angeboten werden.

Chambre très confortable, avec vue sur leurs adorables vaches et au loin la baie. Lieu idéal pour une étape qui permet de faire une sortie bateau pour voir les dauphins et d’apprécier la superbe vue de Loop Head et les falaises de Kilkee. D’autres vacanciers étaient là pour un séjour pêche.

Our room was very quiet and had a view out to the coast and surrounding farmland. We loved exploring the area and found it very remote, rugged and beautiful.

I was in town for a triathlon, and Mary generously offered space in the shed to securely store my bike overnight, which I truly appreciated. She even adjusted the breakfast time slightly earlier so I could grab a quick bite before heading out for the race. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a more restful and thoughtful stay before a tough event.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2025Mary is so welcoming. The house is in a fantastic place with lovely walks around. Rooms are great, and added bonus of the games room with pool and darts. The breakfast was amazing, hot food, and all 6 of us served with whatever we wanted. The warm, fresh baked soda bread with homemade jams 😋
