This is not just a place to stay—it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. A tiny fairytale house surrounded by colorful mountains, where you can slow down, forget about time, and experience the local atmosphere in every little detail. The rooms are simply furnished, but thoughtful touches make the whole place feel incredibly charming and special. It’s one of those rare places that feels like a little hidden world of its own—and you feel lucky to have discovered it. Breakfast was wonderful, with fresh homemade products, and when we asked for something light to eat in the evening, they immediately prepared a delicious snack for us. Everything was exceptionally clean, and essentials like Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Our hosts were incredibly kind and helpful in every way, and we would especially like to thank them for making us feel so welcome. During our four-month journey through South America, we stayed in many places, but this little fairytale house will definitely have a special place in our memories.

Einfach alles. Die Sauberkeit, die Freundlichkeit und Herzlichkeit. Das Frühstück war super lecker. Die Zimmer sind gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles passte und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir haben um 2 Tage verlängert.

La amabilidad y la acogida de Julia fué lo mejor. La autenticidad de la casa y el cuidado de cada detalle te hace sentirte en la región desde la llegada. La cena que Julia propone esta buenísima y la cercanía en coche hasta Purmamarca es perfecto.

La excelente predisposición y atención de los dueños es algo que valorar positivamente. Y en especial la calidez de Julia que atiende a los huéspedes con mucha delicadeza y dedicación. El paisaje es invaluable y solo puede ser apreciado por los ojos humanos porque una fotografía por más hermosa no hace justicia a la belleza del lugar!

Une merveille. Une chambre spacieuse dans une petite maison rénovée avec uniquement des matériaux traditionnels, énormément de goût et une déco magnifique. Un accueil de luxe par deux hôtes exceptionnels aux conseils pertinents et avisés, un petit déjeuner de luxe (ah les gâteaux de Julia.....). Trois jours de rêve !

Todo excelente. Es una estancia de adobe, construcción tradicional andina. El lugar y la arquitectura es espectacular, los dueños tomaron en cuenta todos los detalles. Está a 10 min en auto de Purmamarca, en medio de la montaña. El desayuno es todo casero y riquísimo. También cenamos ahí, delicioso. Tiene parking gratis en la propiedad. Desde la habitación veíamos la montaña. Una experiencia increíble y los dueños son muy amorosos y cálidos.

The place is located in a quiet area not far from Purmamarca. The views from our room were incredible. The room was comfortable and warm ( we got there on a very cold day). Julia is a wonderful host and the breakfasts she served included freshly baked bread and delicious coffee. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend this place.

Este lugar é especial. A anfitriã Julia é a hospitalidade em pessoa. Sua atenção e delicadeza nos fizeram sentir totalmente acolhidos. O quarto estava impecável, limpo e cheiroso. À noite, o silêncio era absoluto. De manhã, o desjejum tinha pães, bolos e geleia feitos pela própria anfitriã. E os alfajores.. simplesmente os melhores que já comi na vida. Queria ter ficado mais tempo nesse paraíso.

This is a special place with original decor that is beautiful and tastefully placed. It was quiet with great views of valley rock walls. It's so different that it could be a film set. Our hostess was so friendly and welcoming. We had dinner here both nights because it was special.

The sheets and bedding were very clean and I think they were either sprayed with a scent or washed with a cleaner with artificial smell . Unfortunately I'm allergic to room fresher and artificial scents and this causes headaches.

Julia was above and beyond, she ensure every detail was covered. She’s a real example of customer service. Thank you Julia!

Hermosa propiedad reciclada respetando la estructura original, muy bien decorada. La atención de Julia y Jorge no podría haber sido mejor, con sus sugerencias, guiándonos y transmitiéndonos además su amor por la región. Desayuno y cena estuvieron deliciosos.

Labai rūpestingi šeimininkai, kadangi apartamentai toliau nuo Purmamarkos, mums pagamino vakarienę. Pusryčiai, taip buvo skanūs.

Gostamos de tudo: das instalações numa casa antiga muito bem preservada, das montanhas embelezando pra onde quer que você olhe, da recepção dos proprietários, do café da manhã com pães, bolos e alfajor, tudo preparado com muito carinho pela Julia.

An old Adobe farmhouse that has been beautifully and meticulously restored by the very welcoming hosts, Julia and Jorge. We had such a lovely stay. Our room was large and comfortable, and we sat on the roof terrace to star (or storm) gaze. It was a real treat to stay somewhere where we felt so welcome. The wine was good too!!!!

Sendero de las Cabras is a great lodging option in the vicinity of Purmamarca in Jujuy, Argentina. The property is about 7 Km away from Purmamarca, and nestled within a valley with great mountain views. The place is run by a friendly couple and they have taken care to keep the facilities and decor according to rustic local custom. Our bedroom was cozy with a very comfortable bed which, together with the quiet atmosphere of the place, ensured we got great sleep both nights we stayed here. Outdoor stairs lead to a balcony with a 360-degree view of the sky and mountains. Food and drinks are available onsite in the kitchen building of the complex. The food available is of local custom, including tamales, humitas, and milanesas. They also offer a variety of wines, including several local wines. Having this food and drinks available onsite is a great advantage because the restaurants in Purmamarca fill up with tourists and also close at odd times. The one thing I would suggest is adding additional towel hooks in the bathroom. Sendero de las Cabras is a wonderful retreat if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable and peaceful stay near Purmamarca.

The hotel is actually 7km distant from the closest village, so you'll need a car to move around.

Location, facilities, food, staff, everything was amazing! I have been travelling from South Argentina up to north for 3 months and this was the best accommodation I have stayed at in the whole country… if you visit Northern Argentina do not miss this place. Thank you so much Julia and Jorge! <3

Julia la patronne fait tout elle même , pain brioché , gâteaux , confiture etc et si on le désire elle nous prépare un délicieux dîner avec des produits locaux . La maison est ancienne et décorée avec goût dans le style de la région ( murs en adobe , meubles en bois de cactus etc ) Et le must c’est la vue !!!! Il y a des montagnes tout autour !!!! Si vous allez à Pumamarca , surtout allez la bas !!!!

Ficamos em um grupo de 8 pessoas e nossa estadia foi maravilhosa, o lugar é perfeito para descansar se você está viajando até San Pedro de Atacama. Só temos a agradecer à anfitriã Julia, foi muito simpática e acolhedora, até mesmo nos preparou um jantar que estava delicioso. O café de manhã foi igualmente delicioso, tudo com sabor caseiro e nos sentimos em casa. Esperamos voltar logo!

Muy lindo lugar, es una casa antigua restaurada pero con todos los detalles de la casa original y con todos los artículos utilizados antes como un tipo museo. We loved everything about Sendero De Las Cabras! From the warm welcome from Julia and Jorge, great advice re routes and places to visit and delicious food. Not to mention the very unique experience of staying in this immaculately clean, comfortable, traditional Argentinian style property, decorated with antique artefacts and cactus furniture. It’s not publicised, but Julia cooked us a wonderful traditional meal one evening. We enjoyed local goats cheese and homemade bread, Tamales and the tastiest potatoes I have ever eaten. A desert with figs and some local orange wine completed a really lovely evening.

The place is renovated and decorated beautifully and located in beautiful nature! It's a perfect base for trips to the Salinas, and up to Humahuaca. Julia and Jorge are the most friendly hosts and take care of every need or question perfectly! Breakfast was amazing and we stayed for dinner twice, which was delicious too!

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti in due momenti diversi del nostro tour in Argentina. Due camere triple con bagno diverse entrambe molto accoglienti nonostante siamo capitati nel periodo più freddo dell'anno. La struttura è un'antica casa ristrutturata in maniera geniale dalla proprietaria Julia. Pulizia eccellente, lenzuola e asciugamani sempre molto profumati e candidi. camera tripla con bagno privato molto ampia. Julia ci ha aiutati con informazioni varia e ci ha preparato colazione e cena al momento con pane fatto in casa e prodotti artigianali. Ci siamo trovati benissimo con lei, con il parcheggio interno e, soprattutto, con l'accoglienza molto calda.

What a gem this place is. An old farm, beautifully refurnished by Julia and Jose, the owners. Only 4 rooms, all of them exquisitley and yet authentically furnished. But the Highliht is definitely Julia, the owner. We have never met such a nice, warm-hearted and caring person. She is truly interested in the guets´s well-being. She only speaks spanish, but with her - everyone can speak spanish: she takes her time, speaks slowly and tries to use simple words. She has a solution to every question, writes individual itineraries for every guest if needed and furthermore she is a wonderful cook. Unfortunately Purmacara is on the other end of the world for us, but if there is a chance we would definitely come back. Of course for the really impressive and overwhelming nature in this area, but even more for Julia. Thanks for a truly memorable time!

We really enjoyed our stay, everything was excellent! The owners are incredibly kind, excellent cooks and gave us many recommendations for our trip. The location is stunning and the property as well. We can’t wait to come back in the future.

The only thing that would have made it even better is a window to the exterior (our room had only a window to an interior room/patio). But we were there only to rest at night, so it didn’t bother us too much.

We had the best 3 days here. Our hosts Julia and George were extremely welcoming and helpful. Sendero DeLas Cabras is an old adobe dwelling lovingly restored and filled with intriguing and beautiful antiques. Breakfasts were delicious with homemade breads, jams and cheese. On 2 nights Julia cooked a lovely traditional dinner for us. The location is gorgeous, just out of Purmamarca with great views and very peaceful.

Julia cooked us 2 amazing dinners with local ingredients which were delicious as were the breakfasts with home made bread everyday.

This is an exceptional property. Beautiful restoration of old adobe building charmingly decorated by the super friendly owners/couple. So unique and authentic I'd give it more than 10 stars if I could. Delicious breakfast with freshly baked brioche, jams, eggs cooked to order and delicious coffee. Must stay if in the area.

The mattress in one of the bedrooms was to firm for me but it is a matter of personal preference.

The hosts, Julia and Jorge were very welcoming and wonderful hosts. The breakfast was outstanding (fruit, eggs, freshly baked bread and cakes). The location was perfect for us, in a beautiful setting just outside Purmamarca enroute to Salinas Grande. We were able to sit outside in the evening sipping a glass of wine while Julia made us a lovely dinner. We were sad that we only had one night there as it was so peaceful and comfortable.
