Athulya Villas, Kandy

Locația e frumoasă și au apă fierbinte duș.Băieții care lucrează acolo sunt foarte amabili,dar foarte tineri și neputincioși.Am apreciat că nu mi-au luat banii,chiar daca initial am crezut că o vor face.

Ne-au cazat in camera gresită,o camera mică deși am rezervat o vila pt 3 adulți.Ne-au dat apoi vila,dar dupa 2 ore a inceput o ploaie terentiala,a picat curentul ,semnal la telefon nu am mai avut ,acoperisul s-a fisurat in multe lucuri și au fost inundate ambele dormitoare.(paturi,perne inclusiv hainele noastre).Am incercat să sun managerul,am trimis mesaje,dar nimeni nu a răspuns.Proprietatea e murdară,cum nu mi-aș fi imaginat,dupa recenziile lasate de turiști.Miros de mucegai in camere,iar daca deschizi mobilierul ......mai bine nu o faci!Ne-am descurcat greu,fară suport din partea lor și am reusit să plecăm .Nu recomand,nici dacă aveți sofer plătit de voi,care vă stă la dispozitie non stop.E greu de găsit locatia,nu e semnalizată și chiar nu merită.

A beautiful property in a stunning location. Gorgeous furniture. Lovely staff and very nice manager. Good food. Loved the whole area - it felt authentic.

The rooms are a little jaded, but overall the whole atmosphere of the place more than makes up for it. They sorted out our issues (bedside lamps not working for example) pretty quickly. There is a fridge and tea making facilities in the room. Decent bathroom. The generator was broken down and they were ill prepared for the power cuts we experienced but I’m sure they will sort it out and not be caught short again in the future. All in all good value and would stay here again.

Behöver verkligen renoveras! AC:n låter så mycket att den är svår att ha på nattetid. Städningen kunde ha varit bättre. Urvalet av dryck stämmer inte alls med bilderna.

Many bird sand trees. lovely setting for the pool too We broke down close to the hotel: Mr Thylan was amazing, he came to help us when we really needed it and made everything better.

nothing not to love Minor issues: The apartment needs a bit of renovation. the small room is not clean and pleanty of bugs The bathroom is in the main bedroom, so suited for family and not tavelling friends

Das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich, vor allem der Hotel Manager. Er hat uns gleich am ersten Tag durch den Garten geführt und sämtliche dort wachsende Pflanzen, Bäume und Sträucher gezeigt (Zimt, Pfeffer, Avocado, Kokosnüsse, Koriander, …..). Auch das vom Hotel mit frisch vom eigenen Garten geernteten Zutaten Abend essen war sehr gut.

„Nicht gefallen“ ist nicht die richtige Bezeichnung, aber man sollte sich bewusst sein dass die Zimmer sehr einfach gehalten sind.

Das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist wunderschön und sehr ruhig. Wir haben eine Führung durch die Anlage bekommen, in der fast alles selbst angebaut wird. Das war hochinteressant.

Bei diesen Witterungsverhältnissen leidet alles sehr und geht schnell kaputt. Ein paar Dinge könnten etwas mehr gepflegt werden.

L'hôtel se situe dans un très beau cadre de végétation, en pleine nature. Avec tout ce qui va avec; lézards, chenilles, écureuils tropicaux, fourmis etc. Restaurant très bon et personnel hyper dispo pour aider.

Environ à une heure de route de Kandy. Et à 2km du premier tout petit magasin.

The tranquility of Athulya Villas was amazing. This place was good for my soul with gorgeous views and the garden teeming with birds. The staff were so accommodating and the manager’s knowledge of the flora and fauna was second to none. The food was excellent, delivered to us with courtesy in a delightful courtyard setting in the centre of the main wallawa building, accompanied by our own personal frog. Simply delightful. We enjoyed walks in the environs around the resort, swam in the gorgeously elevated pool and had a personal tour of the gardens.

We chose the deluxe room which was annexed to the main building. We did see one of the cabanas and felt it was too small for us as we had two large suitcases for our three week holiday. Otherwise, the outlook from the cabana was stunning and it would probably suit anyone with smaller bags! A suggestion for our room - a floor fan would make the room wonderful. The air conditioning was not working well.

Die Lage mitten in den Bergen umgeben vom Dschungel und der wilden Natur hat uns umgehauen. Einfach der Natur lauschen, Palmenhörnchen beim Spielen beobachten und nachts Glühwürmchen in den Palmen entdecken. Dazu dieses unglaublich zuvorkommende Personal. Man wird beinahe wie ein König behandelt und hat nie das Gefühl, dass diese Freundlichkeit aufgesetzt oder mit Hintergedanken ist. Das Frühstück war überragend! Fahrten wurden uns vom Manager zuverlässig organisiert. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Man ist mitten im Dschungel, von daher findet man auch hin und wieder mal ein kleines Tierchen im Zimmer. Ein bisschen störend empfanden wir die teilweise toten Ameisen auf dem Waschbecken und auf der Bettdecke. Ich denke, dass sie abgetötet werden und dann von der Decke fallen. Aber hat nicht groß gestört, da es am Ende des Bettes war

Best location on the earth !! Everywhere is green. You can't find nicer hosts than this hotel.

The location was so peaceful with amazing views. The staff were fantastic and the manager, apologies I can’t recall his name, took lots of time and effort to tell us about the local flora and the history of the property. The food was fantastic and plentiful. We wish we could have stayed longer.

In the roof of our villa there were wood-worms in it and the did quite mess but after informing our stuff they did action immediately so it was ok :) they did their best. Just to be awered there is very weak wify and almost no signal. So you have to relax :)

The staff was very very attentive and kind. They helped us with everything. The landscape where the accommodation is located is beautiful. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were very delicious. We loved every moment of the 3 days we spent here.

Amidst green lush hills you find this wonderful old planter’s villa that constitutes the main house of this beautiful resort. We spend some lovely relaxing days here over Christmas time. Thilan, the manager, is very friendly and so is his staff. He took us for a walk through the garden and for a trip to see an old temple nearby with astonishing drawings and gave us suggestions for local walks. Our kids loved the pool overlooking the hills. We highly recommend this resort.

Gorgeous location. Perfect for a romantic couple getaway. Nice pool but the water was quite cold in beginning of December. Amazing Jacuzzi bathtub in the room. Service was excellent, we enjoyed our dinner at the villa and lunch by the pool. So peaceful and quiet and the bed was comfortable too. The breakfast was very good Also good cocktails

The chair covers looked worn down and need a replacement. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom needs to be leveled up Tom yum was not actually a tom yum but dark brown soup. ( tasted good though) but I suggest to call it a different name

Private cabanas feel more tranquil & food is tasty.

The surrounding was beautiful! In the middle of nature with incredible sounds of birds and the jungle! The staff was super friendly and the room was beautiful and clean!

This place is made for calming down in nature and enjoying the jungle views which are incredible but unfortunately the pool was not very clean so we couldn't use it and also there were no sunbeds or anything in the garden or on the terrace to relax which is sad because we were planning to stay for relaxing on the pool. The location is beautiful but just keep in mind that it's far from other restaurants or the town which means you depend on the food of the accommodation and was not the best. Still, it is a beautiful to stay for a night away from Kandy town if you are searching for a peaceful place in nature and you have a car or scooter!

The villas are very nice, cozy and clean. The entire property looks amazing, very well maintained. The staff was super friendly and helpful, we had breakfast and dinner on our own terrace, they even helped us with the laundry, free of charge, because the service at the hotel they usually work with was not available at that moment.

Rooms need maintenance.

Very very friendly manager, we got a tour through the fruit and spice garden. Nice swimming pool. The surroundings of the hotel are magnificent. It’s a 30 minute drive from Kandy but so relaxing after a day in a busy and noisy city as Kandy. Love this place!

The hospitality of the hosts was amazing. They collected our luggage on arrival and made sure everything in the room was ready. We were the only one staying in the whole property at the time of check-in so we got a VIP treatment. The chef is an amazing cook and the Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing. The chef was really considerate of our food requirements and made sure the food was according to our taste. The property serves halal food.

The garden is magnificent, the service is exceptional you can’t fault it! Attention to details and to the guests. The staffs go above and beyond to make sure that we are confortable and pleased, I had a cold and he recommended me a steam (in a bowl) which he brought a bowl and some herbs to the room.

This is paradise. The staff is wonderfull, the area is great, the cottage is luxe. The food is dilicious. Enjoy the peace, the sounds of the birds and the view all around. We loved the walk to the lake and the info about all the birds and flying squirrels.
