Reviewed Sep 13, 2026Die Lage direkt am Wasser, Meerblick vom Zimmer, die Zimmergröße, nette Zimmereinrichtung, großer Gemeinschaftsraum, Fernglas zum Robben-Beobachten vorhanden, Spiele im Gemeinschaftsraum, verschiedene Teesorten und Kaffee im Gemeinschaftsraum. Dass man gut vor dem Haus ins Wasser gehen konnte zum Schwimmen, war super. Tolle Kajak- und Kanutouren direkt bei der Gastgeberin buchbar, entspannte Parkplatzsituation. Es lagen interessante Heftchen über die Gegend im Zimmer. Die hilfsbereite und immer gut ansprechbare Gastgeberin war grandios und gab super Tipps zu Aktivitäten in der Umgebung.
Ein Fernseher wäre toll und Herdplatten wären praktisch, um sich etwas Kleines zu essen zubereiten zu können.

Never met anybody from the property. Call me old fashioned, but I still like to meet the people who manage these B&B’s - never met a soul other than one enquiring text. The Pointamore room had a tiny bathroom more akin to a visitor’s cloakroom under the stairs albeit with a good separate shower room. The bed mattresses were mediocre. There were no wardrobes for hanging clothes but they had 4 wall hooks. The blurb said “Our breakfast is a simple, self-serve continental spread” which is true. However, try having a relaxing breakfast with 3 other rooms of families all trying to self serve in a tiny galley kitchen. Compared with others, it was expensive for what was on offer.

Reviewed Aug 18, 2026L'emplacement est exceptionnel, directement au bord de la mer. On peut aller se baigner juste devant la maison, l'accès à l'eau est facile et confortable, et revenir prendre sa douche dans sa chambre en sortant de l'eau. Depuis la maison, on peut observer des phoques qui s'installent au soleil sur une petite île en face, des jumelles sont à disposition. Les hôtes proposent aussi des activités nautiques (kayak de mer notamment).

We absolutely loved our time here, and the view from our room, Othorn, was simply spectacular. A truly special place that we would wholeheartedly recommend 100%!

Self service breakfast set up was perfect with plenty choice and homemade bread every day. Well equipped kitchenette and a lovely dining / sitting area with balcony overlooking the jetty. Kayaks for hire from owner and the bay is perfect for a couple of hours paddling with the seals. The mobile sauna which arrived in the evening was a bonus too! Can recommend the climb of Hungry Hill. And the coffee, cakes and wine at the wee art gallery up on the main road as well.
Should have stayed longer!

Use of lovely lounge/diner overlooking the inlet and facilities to make own meals using a microwave. Comprehensive guides and local books. Friendly host with lots of ideas for excursions.
Maybe nicer bread for breakfast rather than shopbought sliced. No room to move around bed so tricky to get up in the night and no bedside table and only one lamp.

Petit déjeuner à gérer soi même comme dans une colocation, de quoi faire un petit déjeuner sommaire Pain, confiture, qq fruits et café à faire soi même. Si les 4 chambres prennent le petit déjeuner au même moment cela peut poser qq petits soucis. A prendre en compte lors de votre réservation.

Gail est une personne charmante qui nous a tout de suite mis à l'aise et qui a été de précieux conseils sur les lieux à visiter et les restaurants à fréquenter. Je recommande.
Il faut juste prendre en compte que pour aller se restaurer il est nécessaire de prendre la voiture, les restaurants se trouvant à 15/20 minutes.

Reviewed Oct 14, 2025With late arrival I had some difficulty to locate the lock-box for the keys, more my own problem than anything else. Although 'just' a continental breakfast, and since I always like a good-sized initial meal the variety and supplies available for self-serve were quite pleasingly plentiful. The breakfast/common room is well supplied with books and board games, nice touch that. It would be interesting to visit here in high summer to avail of swimming or more from the pier.
Our room could have done with a chair or two, although of course the upstairs common room is always available.

Reviewed Sep 5, 2025Un hébergement à l'extrémité d'une petite route, au bord de la baie d'Adrigole, au calme. Une chambre avec un grand lit et une salle de bains d'une propreté irréprochable. Une hôtesse, Gail, aux petits soins et qui nous a fourni de nombreux conseils de visite et de restauration. La salle de petit-déjeuner avec une très grande terrasse offre une magnifique vue très reposante sur la baie d'Adrigole et la montagne. Un endroit idéal pour poser ses valises quelques jours et se ressourcer. Profiter d'une balade en kayak dans la baie pour approcher les phoques qui y résident (à marée basse) est une expérience inoubliable. Si vous avez de la chance, vous pourrez également voir une loutre de mer, comme ce fut le cas pour nous.
Rien. Une suggestion, une glace au-dessus du lavabo de la chambre à l'étage serait plus pratique pour le rasage

Reviewed Aug 27, 2025Was für ein Fundstück! Das Boat House ist eine tolle Unterkunft in wunderbarer Lage. Wenn man um die letzte Kurve biegt hat man direkt den wunderbaren Blick auf die kleine Bucht und das Meer. Gail begrüßte uns herzlich und bot uns direkt an eine Kanutour zu starten - eine Stunde auf dem Wasser und wir haben eine ganze Seehund Kolonie bestaunen dürfen, absolute Empfehlung! Wir sind direkt danach auch noch ins Wasser gesprungen und eine kleine Runde geschwommen. Gail hat zwei sehr gut erzogene Hunde, die aber nicht ins Boat House kommen, ist für alle Fragen erreichbar und gibt super Tipps für die Region. Das Konzept, dass für ein selbst zubereitetes kaltes Frühstück alles vorhanden ist (Brot, Butter, Joghurt, Müsli, Nüsse, Obst, Milch, Kaffee und Tee), man aber rund um die Uhr in den Gemeinschaftsraum gehen kann und sich eine Tasse Tee oder Kaffee machen kann fanden wir fantastisch. Es gibt auch einen Kühlschrank in dem man ein paar persönliche Sachen verstauen kann. Auch Brettspiele und Bücher sind vorhanden, die Einrichtung ist maritim gemütlich, die Betten bequem. Wir waren mit Naha im kleinsten der vier Zimmer, hatten aber reichlich Platz. Die geräumige Dusche war super, um die Badesachen zum trocknen aufzuhängen. Parken kann man direkt vor der Tür. Alles in allem absolute Empfehlung, wir kommen gerne wieder!
